"Wait, what did she say?" Sara asked, suddenly genuinely curious.

Kevin wrinkles his nose, and says, "She didn't even know the difference between chocolate milk and hot chocolate, saying it was her old-person memory when she mixed it up, and she thought that kids get more homework if there weren't as many kids in class. We didn't talk to her much longer than that, because as soon as we started talking about the missing kids, Ralph started doing that thing you see kidnap victims do in the movies behind their kidnappers' back."

Then he imitates, mouthing 'Get out of here!'

"Then we all left, so we don't really know what's going on yet. But I still think she's an alien, and I promised to help Ralph find his real mom. So, anything you know about her or Ralph would be a big help."

"An alien" Gary repeated, saying the word out loud that everyone was probably thinking.

"We've got an alien neighbor. A neighbor, who is probably an alien, old-woman. That's..." He ran his hand through his hair, taking in Kevin's report and more than anything else, his conclusion.

"..unbelievable." Gary finished. "And to think, we've been living here this whole time. Who knew that was going on over there on Main Street."

"I just know there are monsters here," Sara shrugged. "Hey, she doesn't have tattoos, does she?" Probably not, the tattooed lady didn't look old...

She then looked at Gary. "Are you from Main Street?"

Kevin thinks, and then shakes his head quickly, "No, no tattoos, but she did have really big glasses!" Then, he seems to catch up with what she said before the question, looking to Sara with wide eyes, "Wait, other monsters? What other monsters?"

"Oh, you know, like the wolf man?" Sara said, as casually as she could. "I also heard about a monster clown." Saying that, she glanced at Jimmy, searching for any sign of recognition.

"Main Street!?" Gary said as if that were a shocking question. "No way! I heard that Main Street is really where the bad stuff is going on. There's no way my Mom would let me be on Main Street."


"Monsters...." Gary said, reflecting on what Sara and Kevin were saying.

Kevin's eyes widen a bit again, "A werewolf? Penelope told us about the evil clown, but she didn't say anything about a werewolf! Do you know who it is?"

"Not a werewolf, a wolf man," Sara clarified with a frown. "He was called Griffix."

Kevin looks a bit puzzled for a moment, "Oh, I thought they were the same thing. But I never saw Wolf Man, just Teen Wolf."

He reaches back for his notepad, before remembering that Edith still has it. "Does Griffix live on Main Street?"

"Wolf man!" Jimmy echoed. "That's my costume for Halloween tomorrow! Hehehe!"

"But seriously, you're joking" Jimmy said, looking at Sara and then back to Kevin to make sure what they were talking about was real

Uh, did he live on Main Street...? "He showed up there, anyway. Pretty sure he lived... somewhere else," she added in a spooky voice.

Kevin looks to Jimmy, and says, "No, I'm not joking. I mean, it might just be someone really hairy, or in a costume like on Scooby Doo, but you always got to check things like that out. My dad's first newspaper article was about an old woman who thought she was haunted. The police just laughed at her but my dad figured out it was a homeless guy living in her attic."

"And anyway, it could be real. You know how grownups are, they could look right at a real monster and refuse to believe it! My teacher last year said that scientists refused to believe that the duckbill platypus was real for a really long time, just like they do now with Bigfoot. I bet there are lots of things out there they say are fake and aren't!"

He says all this very fast, excited by the topic, but this time he doesn't seem to realize he's getting carried away.

"Ha! You're Dad is like, the editor or something? Like J. Jonah Jameson in Spiderman! Or like Clark Kent before he becomes Superman. That's pretty cool." Jimmy said, getting a little lost in the beginning of Kevin's statement about his Dad.

Jimmy listened to the rest of what Kevin said.

"Big foot probably exists. And also don't forget about that guy who was from like, England. My Mom told me that he was a famous singer, like with a few other guys from England, or maybe one was with us, you know, Americans. Anyway, my Mom said that this English guy who played the guitar I think. Yeah, the guitar. He's actually a clone. And the real guy, I think his name is 'Paul' is dead. So if you play one of the records backwards, it says 'Paul is dead.' But like, all the adults believe that 'Paul' is alive. But its all a lie, and the real 'Paul' guy from England that plays the guitar is dead. So its true." Jimmy reasoned, looking confident in his assessment that things weren't what people said that they were or how they appeared.

Kevin grins to Jimmy, and says, "Yeah, more like Clark Kent. He's an investigative reporter."

Then, after the story Jimmy tells, he says, "Wow, I haven't heard that one! But yeah, just like that! Grown-ups won't believe anything that isn't normal. Most of them won't even look into it! So, it's up to us!"

He's smiling, happy and energetic in this discussion.

OOC: Sorry for the delay! Been a bad week for my voice.

"Soooo..." Gary starting, indicating he was going to ask a question. "What are we gonna do now?" Gary asked, differing to everyone else.

"Aw, I dunno." Jimmy said, kicking a bit of dust up, and leaves with one of his Converse sneakers.

"This is pretty gay though. You know? I'm kind of getting bored." He admitted. Then he looked around at both Sara and Kevin.

"What?" He asked. "You don't know what that means?" Then, as if remembering that Kevin and Sara weren't from the area, at least not originally, he said.

"It means stupid. You know, gay. Like, this is really gay that we're standing out here in the cold and he we don't know what to do about all of this."

Kevin frowns to Jimmy, and says, "I don't think that's what gay means. Haven't you ever watched Three's Company?"

Shrugging, he looks thoughtful for a second and then says, "Well, we don't know where the Wolfman lives, so I think we should still check out Ralph's mom first. We still need to spy on her house, like we were talking about before someone started throwing rocks at us, to try to get evidence and to talk to Ralph when his mom's not around."

Jimmy gave a little mischievous laugh when Kevin mentioned the word 'gay' and when Kevin mentioned that rocks had been thrown.



"That's a good idea." Gary said to Kevin.

"Well, maybe we should think about doing that as soon as possible." Gary added.

Then he looked at Jimmy for about three seconds. Then he looked at Sara. And then he looked at Kevin.

The group fell silent. Gary started up his looking again, as if he was hoping someone might plan what the group would do next.

Catching Gary's look, Sara looked at Kevin in turn. "Well, what are we waiting for? Where does she live?"

Kevin nods quickly, and says, "She lives on Main Street." He gives the address, and then adds, "Yeah, let's go! We can pretend to be playing if anybody asks us," he adds.

"Football! Football BLAhhhhhhH!!" Jimmy said, jumping in the air with delight

"Alright, Alright." Gary said, agreeing to go, but really sounded more like a complaint about how Jimmy was jumping around frenetically.

"Let's follow Kevin!" Gary suggested. "He knows the way!"

Kevin nods quickly and starts to lead the way. He acts confident in his ability to lead the way, even though he went via the streets on his bike last time.
