A new treat hovers on the horizon,gathering power as it readies a strike at the heart of the Galactic Republic. Only a thin shield of light the Jedi Knights and the loyal allies of the Republic can deflect the coming darkness and force it back.

A thousand years ago  powerful Jedi Knights who had fallen to the dark side overran the Sith people and forced from them the secrets of the dark side. Throughout the ensuing period,the Lords of the Sith delved ever further into the dark side of the Force, creating vast store holds to house their research , and great palaces to house themselves. Evil had come upon the galaxy,casting the worlds it ensnared into darkness.Now the worst fears of the Jedi of old have come to pass. The Sith and their teachings have returned,as they march throughout the galaxy. Calling to the wicked and the evil,the weak willed and the power-hungry. It is a troubling time for the galaxy

In this time the  Jedi Knights and their allies,beacons of light in a galaxy of  fading luminescence,united in the Force are all that stands between the armies of the Sith and freedom for the galaxy. It is a time when the champions of the galaxy must once again gather together to thwart the spreading darkness. It is within the light of such Jedi and their allies that is the last remaining hope for the survival of the Republic and Freedom in the galaxy,........

The day is windy and hot. The air blows up swirls of dirt as Chullka checks and loads and rechecks and loads the energy cells on his two pairs of blasters. He rubs away at the dust settled on his goggles and gives his companions a toothy grin, before drinking the tepid blue milk he ordered a half cycle ago. "Credits are getting a bit low. Maybe we should make some ,huh?" He says eyeing a group of local toughs as they shake down an elderly couple across the market plaza. "Or at least shoot something." He adds pulling again on the energy cells and the blue milk.

Yuher lounges in another chair. He raises his head to acknowledge the question, but only a fraction. "Work sounds good. Errina took my last c-scrip at the Rancor's Den the other night. I'm drinking..." his voice trails off as he inspects the dirty-colored snot at the bottom of his mug. "I don't know what this crap is. It was cheap, though," he admits with a shrug, then downs the rest of it in one go.

Chullka shoves a mouth full of diced nerf sausage in his mouth and calls over the server droid. The server a vaguely humanoid droid brings over the tab. Chullka inspects the total and tosses 3 Republic credit chits on the table. " I say Errina cheated at that Sabacc table. Cloud city rules,....  my snout. We didn't lose our ride though. And we still owe Greeda the Hutt for that hyperdrive multiplier. I don't see her letting us off the planet willingly unless we pay that last payment before we leave...." Chullka stops short as the young toughs push the old human male down and his elderly wife exclaims frightened. "Help!" she exclaims. At this time the server droid  comes up to the duo. "*Mrrrr Mrrrr Mr. **%#@ *static and electronic pops. Msssss Mssssss Zeba zzzzzzz***eba sirrrsssss sirs sirs" Chullka looks to the server bot and the comm screen unit it is holding, then to Yuher. "Zeba ? Could be a job! maybe,......or should we help the elders?" He waits for Yuher.

Does it look like things are going to escalate with the thugs? Do the old folks have anything that looks valuable?

Yuher grimaces at the toughs, but he doesn't move from his slouch nor his chair. "Ugh. The whole thing seems like a pain in the butt. I doubt they're gonna pay us anything." He chews his lip unhappily. Half to himself, he muses, "I mean, those kids are just bored. Surely they won't hurt the old man."
Conflicted, he turns to his Dug companion and shrugs. "I don't know. They could have slugthrowers. Or worse. I don't have the creds to pay off the owner right now, and I like this place. I'd rather not get kicked out. What's your opinion?"

"Nah," says Chullka gulping the last of the blue milk, indicating the tussle . "Thats a job of the CorSec division. Besides Zeba has work I think!" He grabs the vid comm taps one the privacy field on their table and begins the message.


The screen comes to life with the image of a middle aged ,portly, Toydarian female. Bedecked in more gaudy jewelry then a gypsy. Looking at you through her end of the screen she exclaims. "Well, nice of you boys to message me back! I didnt know if you had blasted off world yet or gotten thrown into debters prison by Greeta the hutt yet!" "You boys, got to stop making deals with the hutts! nothing but trouble!"

"Tell us something we dont know," says Chullka his head resting on one hand. While a fork in his left foot shoves in more nerf in his mouth. "You have a job for us?"
"Two jobs, it's a double bounty. Its for a Rodian ,Scranton Toon. He's a small time pirate that has taken up with the teen heart throb singer , Skawn Bonduna, as Bonduna's hired muscle. Seems they both ran a racket that cost one of the singers companies investors millions. The investor Servid Norn needs them brought in. Seems he's pretty hot under the collar offering his independent posting of 10,000 credits for Toon and 30,000 for Bonduna. On Toon he is willing to offer double the amount for a live capture. Sweet guy no? Seems he doesn't want any friction between him and  Plook Hartar the leader of the Rodian pirate gang Toon was a part of. As for Bonduna Norn is offering double the 30,000 for D.E.A.D.,..dead! Seems it pretty common for the music sales and popularity of a singer to get a big boost if they die. Looks like he figures he can recoup his losses and even turn a profit if you waste Bonduna. Don't you just love show business!"

Yuher growls, "I'm a bounty hunter, Zeba, not an assassin. And I certainly don't gack little girls." The professional winces, then shrugs at Chullka apologetically, but the consternation is suddenly replaced with a speculative grin as an idea strikes him.
"But I don't suppose Bonduna has posted a counter offer? It sounds like she's good for it."

In reply to Yuher Tru'sar (msg # 7):

" No he has not. My guess is Bonduna is enjoying his fame and fortune too much. Or is scared witless and not poking his head up. He's got a contract for a live show on Nela Ve' . He might show or not. As for the job it's entirely up to you boys to take it or not. The job will stay posted , until either Norn sweetens the deal, or some other operators take it." Zeba pulls herself close to the screen till her face seems mere inches away. " You boys take care. Let me know if you change your mind. Zeba out."

The screen goes dark and Chullka finishes the last of the nerf, licking each finger in turn. He turns to Yuher. "So whats the play,Yuher?"

Yuher squints and blows out a long breath. "I'm sorry, Chul. I didn't mean to blow our lead." He sits up and steeples his fingers in front of him in a meditative pose. His eyes get a dreamy, faraway look, and then glaze over entirely.
He sits like that long enough that you're about to complain, when he abruptly stands. "Let's go see V3-6 over at the Rancor's Den. I have a feeling she might need a hand with one of her shipments today.
The Bothan leaves the establishment passing right by the thugs, who are still standing over the old man berating and threatening him. He walks past them, stops, and shifts his cloak to reveal the lightsaber at his hip--but only to the group of thugs. "Hey," he snarls in menace at the leader of the pack. "These people don't have anything worth your time. I suggest you look for entertainment elsewhere." He doesn't bother turning to face the kid directly, but locks eyes with him and punctuates the remark with a murderous glare.

CHEERS OF VICTORY BEGIN TO FLOOD THE HALLS AND THE BRIDGE OF THE FALLEN STARAS LORD SHAED SITS IN HIS ROTATEING LEATHER CHAIRAND SIGNALS TO THE CREW BY WAVINING HIS HAND IN AN UP AND DOWN MOTION WHICH BRINGS IMEDIATE SILENCE TO THEIR VOICES.AS SHAED PARTS HIS LIPS UNDER HIS BREATHING APERATOUS, HIS BREATH IS CUT SHORT.
"KUSSSSSS, LORD SHAED, WE HAVE LOST THE MAIN REACTOR. MAY I SUGGEST WE BEGIN OUR ASCENT TO MAKE REPAIRS?" A VOICE SPITS FRANTICALY FROM THE HISSING COMM.
SHAED SENDS A MESSAGE TO THE NAVIGATOR BY USE OF THE FORCE TO MAKE A LANDING ON A NEAR BY PLANET AND THE SHIP BEGINS CUTTING THROUGH STARS AS IT BEGINS ITS FAST APPROACH TO THE NEAR BY PLANET OF REVANDU.

"Sounds good," says Chullka following Yuher. He eyes turn towards the direction of the local toughs that have somehow vanished, leaving only the elderly couple to gather their meager belongings and hurry off. "V3-6 still working out of the old Rancor's den huh? I haven't seen ol chrome dome in cycles. Wonder what ever happen to my own astro droid that  six was holding on to for me?" muses Chullka. It is at this moment that two wings of planetary defense force starfigthers roars skyward. The fighters are uglies of the chi'dara wing. "Hmm seems the defense force and Hannbeela the Twilek ace are in some hurry to get some place fast," he guffaws "Or about to knock in someones chu'papa", he snickers. "I tried to join them last week, got turned down," he shrugs his first set of shoulders. "At least we have the Emerald Nova and its fighter bay, no?" And a half good crew. " Talia , should be back at the ship putting away supplies. Von probably got the repair's done.  Now Tiki Ki,........hes a strange one. I never even heard of a jawa sniper before let alone one with a sniper rifle six times as tall as he is. Still he is a good craftsman."

"Size matters not, as long as he has good aim and a steady trigger finger." He turns a bland smile to his companion. "And I wouldn't take the thing with the Defense Force personally. I'm sure it had more to do with their height restrictions than it did with your skill. You know how government types are about following regulations. Almost as bad as Jedi." He snorts. It was a joke--almost.

Chullka laughs hard. " Remember that time when we had to rescue La'fenna from dancing at the Den when she slighted that sugar daddy of hers and couldn't pay for damages? lol" " Its a wonder she is still hanging out with us, especially with Talia and her not getting along. A small frigate is small when you have two feuding females on board." His thoughts are cut short as a damaged fiery craft streaks across the sky and arcs to the distant hills. "Looks like the defense fighter force scored a kill."

"La'fenna doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut. That's why Talia and she aren't getting along, I believe." He stops for a second and watches the ship go down. "I sense someone very powerful aboard that ship. I don't think we should mark that one down for dead just yet."

Choose one either forceful,careful or quick. You can also choose an aspect or stunt to help with the rolls you rolled a +,-,-,- . meaning either of the approaches will cancel one - . the plus you rolled will cancel another negative but that leaves two more negatives. If you leave it like that you will have a really HARD landing. You could invoke an aspect or stunt or pay a fate point to reroll or negate the remaining two - rolls. It would cost you 2 of your three fate points to do so however.

"The war between the Sith and Jedi IS heating up. The Republic se<Aqua>t several blockades around the system." Shaking his head he doubles his pace. "Lets get to the Rancor's Den quickly. Before some lum drunk pilot from that crash causes trouble and catches us out in the open. With luck maybe there will be a rich noble or some  such at the den we can marry La'fenna off to!" The Dug drops to all fours and trots towards the direction of the Rancor's Den.

Meaning you are not going to crash but make a controlled crash.
The boost will be called a skirt in the dirt style type landing. The ship will never fly again without repairs but you are able to walk away from it

The Rancor's Den started out as a pilot dive, and you can still see the ghosts of the old rocketjocks in the lines and the curves of the building. Since those days, though, an offworld investor from Alderaan bought the place and introduced his uptown sensibilities--the result being a fusion of high class and spaceport trash that makes for really interesting company. For all of your discreet transportation needs, legal or otherwise, personal or otherwise, the Rancor's Den is reputed to be the best place in the entire city. By some, it's said to be the best place on the entire planet.
Unlikely as it is, the club is also a hopping music scene, as the owner has personal contacts in the biz. The sound stage, situated in the middle of three diamond-shaped dance floors, is infamous for its killer acoustics and was rumored to cost billions of credits to design and build. One or another of the best bands in the sector is always headlining there, and every time a new singer runs a galactic tour through this part of space, you can bet that one of the stops will be at the Rancor's Den.
All that hype translates into a club-and-bar that's part tourist trap, part launchpad crash, part serious meeting spot, and all soul.

As you enter, the main room of the Den thrums with the horns and the drums of a Wookie acoustic band playing a ballad for the daytime crowd. None of the dancers are performing yet, leaving the raised pedestals empty, their lights dark and bulbous like the eye pods of a sleeping giant insect.
There are plenty of people at the tables, though, and the dull roar of conversation plays a pleasant counterpoint to the mellow crooning of the band while agile waitstaff dart in and out of the crowd bearing trays of food, drink, and dishes.

Yuher scans the crowd until he spots the person for whom he's looking. He points to the wall opposite the door, about halfway between the front bar and the doors to the dance halls in the back.
"V3-6. Looks like she's with a customer."
The big human standing behind her you recognize as V3's Mandalorian bodyguard Tava Ked, but there's also a Cerean man sitting in the booth across from her. He's dressed in some kind of crew uniform. An offworlder, obviously, but it's impossible to tell who he's with.

"I'm going to get me a couple of Green Novas. You want anything?" asks Chullka.

In reply to Chullka (msg # 26):
 The duo see La'fenna at a table in the center of the main room. Surrounded by  five other females of different Races. they are all elegantly dressed and sipping on expensive drinks. A serving droid extends  a large inner tray to scoop the republic credits strewn on the table, as payment for the refreshments. All the while a not so small group of humanoid males are gathered around the table. Looking to get the females attention. La'fenna shouts out to her two companions as she notices them walk by. " Hey boys! What took you so long getting here?" She notices Chullka heading for the bar. "Chullka be a doll, get something for me and my friends, would you?"

Chullka simply waves a half dismissive wave at La'fenna and her friends. All the while keeping an eye on the dagger like looks he gets from the surrounding males. " Might as well play along and have a little fun," he thinks to himself. "Ice Drop wine isn't it?", he asks La'fenna. She smiles and nods. He winks back and calls over a serving droid to order the table three bottles of the over priced beverage.

"Get me a Bantha's Teat," Yuher calls at Chullka's back as his friend heads to the bar. He makes his way obliquely toward La'fenna's table, coming up to the back of the crowd of panting men and blending in. His eyes aren't on the crowd, though--he's still watching the transaction between the droid fixer and the Cerean spaceman.
Tava Ked spots Chullka heading for the bar and lifts her chin at him from across the room when he looks her way, making her dreadlocks jangle jauntily with the optical bells tied to the ends. Yuher shakes his head, bemused. Tava always did have a thing for that Dugg.
Meanwhile, the Cerean looks around nervously and pulls out a small hide bag about the size of a young Kowakian monkey-lizard. V3-6's emotive indicators flash an annoyed shade of orange, and she grabs his wrist with one of her spindly lower arms to keep him from lifting it onto the table. Tava shifts her feet in an unusually uneasy gesture while her hand drifts to the holster at her side.

Chullka returns to the table just as the serving droid has placed La'fenna's bottles on the table. He hands Yuher his drink and takes his own two and pulls a brass colored seat a bit from the end towards the table. Causing a bit of a screeching sound along the floor. He then plops into the Dug tailored species seat and looks over the people at and around the table. " Spending credits again huh, La'feena? At this rate you could buy your very own ship in a couple of weeks."
" I figured this world was all backwater and unsettled," replies La'feen. "So since the rest of the crew were all too busy to even talk. I got bored and decided to make friends with some of the locals." she says beaming.

Chullka pulls out a mythinnarr stick and bites one end off. Letting his tongue roll the stick between his teeth savoring the cinnamon like spices of the infused wooded stick. "Indeed," he says through clenched teeth sucking on the stick. He grabs one of the novas and downs it in a single gulp." You don't mind if Yuher and I share your table? We have some business here but it would be nice to sit with a pretty familiar face. Isn't that right Yuher?"

Yuher pushes past the group of avid men and sits distractedly in an empty seat next to a wide-eyed Nelvaanian woman.
"Right."
"Yuher, this is Azra," La'feen purrs. "I found her shopping refitted parts in the trade bazaar for her old Delaya courier. She's pretty, isn't she?
"I call it 'Ruvan Holt'," she explained shyly in a lilting accent. "It translates to... um. Roughly, 'Fleeting Ghost'."
"Uh-huh." Yuher is still distracted by the exchange on the other side of the room. V3-6's lights are flickering all over the color spectrum in agitation, and the Cerean is making small chopping motions as he retorts angrily. Tava is back to her icy self, though, so they're probably just discussing terms.
La'feen scolds, "Now, Yuher, don't be rude."
Irritated, the bounty hunter turns--and stops short. His jaw hangs open unflatteringly. Well. Unflatteringly for him. Azra puts a hand over her face and looks away demurely.
Yuher clears his throat. "You are right, La'feen. I apologize if I was rude." He faces Azra. "My name is Yuher Tru'sar. It's lovely to meet a radiant creature such as yourself. However," he continues gruffly, casting a dark look in Chulka's direction. "I actually am busy. We are hoping to make some credits here."

BLACK AND BROWN SMOKE FILLS THE SKY AS A RATHER LARGE CORILEAN SPACE CRAFT MAKES A HARD SLIDING CRASH INTO THE DESERTED TURRAIN CAUSING THE SAND TO JUMP UP, COVERING THE SHIP IN A "SKIRT" OF ROCKS, PEBBLES, AND DIRT. FROM THE INSIDE CONFINES OF THE GROUNDED CONTRAPTION, VARIOUS MUFFLED SCREAMS CAN BE HEARD BUT ARE TOO UNCLEAR TO MAKE OUT. ON THE BRIDGE, LORD SHAED HAS KEPT CALM BY USE OF THE FORCE WHILE HIS CREW HAVE BEEN COMING VERY DISTRAUGHT. "SILENCE" SHAED DEMANDS SO THAT HE MAY ATTEMPT TO REGAIN CONTROL OF HIS SOLDIERS. "YOU AND....YOU, I WANT YOU TO SEARCH THE LANDING BAY AND SEE IF, AND HOW MANY BUZZ CYCLES YOU CAN FIND. WE ARE GOING TO THE CITY FOR PARTS. AND....SEND THE NAVIGATOR TO THE BRIDGE. TELL HIM...I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A WORD WITH HIM. THAT WILL BE ALL, NOW.... GO!" SHAED SHOUTED WITH GREAT SEVERITY IN HIS VOICE. RATTLING SOUNDS RANG OUT ALL THROUGH THE SHIP AS TROOPS SHIFTED THROUGH THE ONCE OPERATIONAL EQUIPMENT. "SIR, YOU CALLED FOR ME SIR?" SAID A VOICE FROM OVER THE INTERCOM. "I CALLED FOR YOUR PRESENCE ENCIN NOT FOR YOU TO COWER BEHIND A BUNCH OF CABLES AND WIRES." SAID SHAED. "YES SIR B.B.UUT THERES SO MUCH DEBRIS I THOUGHT THAT THI..." HIS WORDS WERE CUT SHORT FROM A STRANGE PULLING SENSATION AND THE POP!SHAED HAD USED THE FORCE TO SHATTER A COUPLE OF HIS RIBS. "YES, YOU WERE SAYING ENCIN?" "YE YE YES SIR ; THE MAN COUGHS SCREAMING OUT IN PAIN, THERE IS SO..." POP! THE ENCIN FALLS TO THE SHIPS FLOOR AS HE FEELS HIS LEFT LEG SHATTER. "SIR, WHYYYYY?" THE MAN PLEADS TO THE SITH. "BECAUSE YOU ARE A COWARD AND I HAVE NO TIME OR USE FOR COWARDS, GOODBYE ENCIN."" NOOOOOO WAI--!" THE SOLDIERS HEAD EXPLODED LEAVING SKULL FRAGMENTS AND BRAIN MATTER ON THE COM IN FRONT OF HIM. "CLEAN THAT UP AND DO WHAT YOU ALL WERE TOLD BEFORE I DECIDE TO HANDLE THIS , HIS VOICE BECOMES HIGHER IN PITCH AND MORE MANIACLE, MYSELF.FIND THOSE CYCLES!"

Yuher gives Chullka a significant look, then inclines his head toward an isolated group sitting in the corner near the doors to the dance halls. Sitting at the table are two Rodians in battle armor, a Meri in a loose-fitting pocket vest with a long blaster rifle hanging off the chair behind him, and a dark-haired human woman with a crop top leather jacket and a bandolier. They've hardly touched their drinks and are paying an unhealthy amount of attention to V3-6's meeting. You can see her Mandalorian bodyguard watching them with a careful eye.
The Jedi smiles at his friend and pats the saber at his hip. They both know nobody would dare to start something inside the Den, but there are plenty of dead-end alleys in the streets around perfect for an ambush.

 GUSTS OF WIND FILLED WITH SAND AND DIRT ARE FILLING THE SHIP, MAKING ITS WAY IN FROM THE HOLES CAUSED  BY THE CRASH. THE FRIENDLY BUT POINTLESS CHATTER FROM THE CREW HAS CEASED FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE SITH. TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP; "SIR WE MANAGED TO FIND THREE. BUZZ CYCLES FROM THE WRECKAGE. WE ALSO WERE ABLE TO FIND ONE WORKING SAND SPEEDER. IF YOU WOULD. LIKE, WE CAN HAVE THEM FUELED AND STANDING READY." SAID SERGEANT MAKUUB. "AND WHAT OF MY PERSONAL CYCLE?" SHAED ASKS. "WE WERE ABLE TO FIND IT HOWEVER, THE FRONT RUTTER NEEDS REPLACING  BEFORE IT IS OPERABLE." HE ANSWERS. "VERY WELL SERGEANT MAKUUB, GATHER YOUR TROOPS AND  BEGIN THE FINAL PREPARATION FOR OUR DEPARTURE." THE SERGEANT REPLIES "RIGHT AWAY SIR!", TURNS AROUND WITH A ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DEGREE TWIST AND MAKES HIS WAY BACK TOWARD THE LAND VESSELS.

" Ah c'mon sweetness thats not what you said on the ship yesterday." says Chullka giving a wink in Yuher's direction. "I said no!" says La'fenna agitated. She slaps at him again. Chullka  pulls slightly into the slap, letting it connect and letting the force propel him off his chair . He staggers upright looking at the glaring La'fenna and staggers away. Giving a quick look at Yuher. He taking both drinks in hand he somehow managed to hold on to, without spilling a drop. He makes his way to the table Yuher noted and staggers again dropping to one knee. One of his drinks goes flying to the group at the table. Soaking them in sticky green beverage.

The Meri stands up and roars when the Green Nova hits his vest and starts steaming. "Do you know how much this vest is worth, you clumsy maggot?" he bellows in rage.
One of the Rodians dabs unhappily at his breastplate with a piece of cloth, while the other jumps to his feet and swipes futilely at his dripping belt with one bracer. Smoke starts coming from one of his pouches, and he shakes his head and lets out a keening moan and gives up trying to wipe off the liquid.
The angry Meri towers over Chullka. "Who's going to pay for my suit?" he demands with clenched fists.

Yuher doesn't say anything, but moves up behind Chullka quietly. "How do you want to handle this?"

From the side of the room, Tava watches the escalating situation with concern while V3-6 and the Cerean continue with their negotiation uninterrupted.

Meanwhile, several of the serving droids silently circle around Chullka and the Meri and their friends, enforcing a separation between the arguing group and the rest of the patrons.

SAND QUICKLY JUMPS UP AND DOWN CAUSING CLOUDS OF SAND TO FORM BEHIND EACH BUZZ CYCLE. THE THREE MACHINES QUICKLY MAKE THEIR APROACH TO THE NEARBY CITY STAYING A TACTICAL V FORMATION. FOLLOWING CLOSELY BEHIND, IS THE SINGLE SAND SPEEDER TGAT WAS ALSO RETRIEVED FROM THE WRECKAGE. AS THE CHOSEN CREW OF THE FALLEN STAR COME CLOSER CROSSING OVER HILLS AND DUNES, THE LIGHTS FROM CITY ARE QUICKLY BECOMING MORE AND. MORE VISABLE.

Yuher is Quick on the Draw and impulsive, but although he's Strengthened by his Rage, he's not particularly hotheaded. On the other hand, he Doesn't Trust Anyone, so if anybody makes any sudden moves, he might just take off a hand first and ask questions later, and consequences be damned. His high concept includes both Disgraced Jedi and Bounty Hunter, so any professional prejudices or rivalries from either of those could apply; and His Trouble is "Everybody wants a piece of me", to reinforce that his past and profession often create challenges (or opportunities, depending on your perspective) for him.
And all these should be on his character sheet for reference.

Green flame and the contents of his stomach splattering on the mercs boots. Quickly turning to Yuher he says. " Now , Yuher!" As he stands upright drawing his blasters and shoots out as many over head lights as he can. (Am invoking his blasterFu aspect).
"Just like old times,eh Yuher?" he shouts. "I be bad, you be good, They be uglified!"

Was in the Entertainment District, following a lead of a contract.

You could hear the shots coming from the Rancor Den, the commotion. The noise made Gruss grip his vibro-axe tight in his thick green fingers. Perhaps someone causing ruckus in the Rancor's Den had a bounty on their head. The mercenary boar often moonlighted as a a bounty hunter. Contracts were a good source of credits, and the reputation of Gammorrean mercs being hired for protection and muscle, let him slide close to some those hiding from the law.

He moved towards the Den but the beating of heavy boots, CorSec troops slowed his approach. Maybe he'd wait to see them go inside. He snuffled heavily from his mucus slick nose, as he feigned back from the main doors.

Gruss heads in, clutching his vibro-axe, perhaps he could get the drop on the arguers inside. He didn't know of any direct contracts, if any, were dead or alive.. So he'd head in using the blunt end of his axe first, unfastening the clasp to the slug thrower on his hip. It wasn't a blaster, but it'd come in handy if it became a fire fight.

I've got Lightsaber Deflection ready in case somebody shoots at me, but I don't need any of my other stunts yet. I don't have to invoke aspects until after the Roll, and I've got three Fate points still. I don't see a need to ask for a compel on an aspect yet.

Yuher holds the lightsaber steady, stance loose, breathing even. If there's any sign of attack, he's ready to respond.
Let CorSec come. He hasn't done anything. Yet. Of course, they probably won't see it that way--but what else is new? He's been taken in by the authorities before. At least this time he hasn't maimed nor killed anybody.

At that moment, one of the blasted lamps from the ceiling crashes down into the table behind Yuher, smashing glasses and showering sparks over everyone.
Yuher doesn't move a muscle nor even flinch--just sighs and shakes his head. "And we'll be happy to pay for the damages. In low monthly installments."

Meanwhile, from the back wall comes a stifled gasp. The Cerean that had been speaking with V3. He darts to his knees to search under the table, but the droid drags him to his feet and whispers something that makes the man stand up straight, if a little sheepishly. "It's nothing," he stammers. "I'm fine."

La'fenna moves towards the CorSec commander, with a disarming smile.
" Capt. I will be willing to pay for any damages in full. I have an account with the central bank of Coracant." She shoots a venomous glare at Chullka. " If you are willing to keep my,......contractors  from the local detention cells."

The CorSec commander looks at the cred stick La'fenna  is holding. "It all depends on the owner, miss. I will consider this matter closed if the owner agrees. I am curious however why they discharged their weapons."
"This is their first hunt Capt. In fact these two, and him." she points to Gruss Bugh ,"are legal bounty hunters who's contract just darted out of this establishment."
The CorSec capt cocks his head slightly to one side his eyes and thoughts invisible behind the polarized visor. He turns to Yuher and Chullka, "Just keep it tidy, don't force my hand." With that the Mandalorian capt and his troops depart. La'fenna looks at Yuher and Chullka with her hands on her hips,"Don't ever say I never did anything for you two ,nugs." she pauses a moment then says , "well? She is getting away!" She exclaims.

Would blink and grunt, watching as the Twilek female wrapped a fine enough lie, bribing the captain of the guards, and wrapping him up in it. Not that he could contest her lies to the Captain, only offering a firm, "GWEEK!" As the Corsec troops departed he turned to face the other two as the Twilek told them to give chase to a unknown, 3rd party.

He gripped his vibro-axe tighter, looking to the Dug. He looked familiar, and couldn't quite place his finger on the face.  He'd begin rifling through his belt, fishing for his identifier, holding up the clear screen in their direction to identify their faces with possible contracts. His eyes darted back and forth from the other two and the screen, as it began it's search.

Yuher starts running. As he passes the big Gammorean, he slaps him on the shoulder. "Come on, friend. That axe of yours may come in handy."

"Lets get moving. We can still catch her if we take the under road past the entertainment district." says Chullka. "It means going through a construction site, but it will likely let us get ahead of her before she hits the docking bays." He stops and looks over to Gruss Bugh. "That wouldn't happen to be your speeder out there, would it?" he asks Pointing at a large multi seat custom speeder parked out front in neutral. Its large rear engines flaring in cycles as the vehicle computer pulses energy to them.

You sense you are getting closer to your quarry. After a few more minuts and a few blocks down into the city. You spy a street vendor where a group of CorSec troops are having a  mid shift meal break. You see a middle aged man in full mandalorian armor reclining in a chair talking with his fellows. He and they do not notice you but the one grizzled Mandalorian is most certainly one of the ones you sensed earlier.

The gammorrean boar frowned for a moment in thought as they headed outside, perhaps this unseen party would be the score he was looking for. He'd tolerate the others for now as he nodhed to the Dug with a, snort and "Gweek." He shoved forward towards his speeder passed the other two, not trusting them with his speeder.

The 4 seater, 5 depending how many could squeeze in the back, wasn't fancy or streamlined in the least. It was a older model, closer to a working class landspeedster, a bit of rust, and a few dings to the box like frame. Slapping his vibro-axe on the upperdash, a installed clamp locked it in. He looked back to make sure the other two got in... they knew what the contract looked like more than he did.

Boot his heavy boot to the foot pedal and the speeder was off. It may of been a working class speedster, but it was moving no, taking the directions the Dug had given. Gruss's eyes darted to the obstacles ahead before reaching across the dash to box mounted near the lower part. He flipped it on, and grunted, offering a few loud squeals and snorts, the translator to speak

"Who are you?" The translator chirped in a synthetic male voice.

Yuher's eyes rove over the crowds and traffic, alert for any attack, as he answers Chullka first. "I think Tava was distracted by our fight, and the Cerean was keeping his bag out of sight. The woman must've sneaked in and stolen the bag out from under Tava's nose." He snorts. "That's going to put her in a foul mood."
To the Gammorean, he says, "I'm Yuher Tru'sar, former Jedi. My friend here is Chullka. You seem to know our mutual friend La'fenna, yes?"

" You see a light saber dangling from the Mandalorians belt.

Yuher crouches low and tries to anticipate their driver's move, leaning into the turn and extinguishing his saber for the moment. He raises one hand, ready to give a little Force shove to help the speeder corner, should it require any assistance.

Keeps his ears open as he listens in. Jedi?.. Even Ex-jedi.. that'd of been a problem. The Dug, most races hate Dugs to begin with.. Most think gammorreans are stupid and and brutes. He couldn't help but feel a small connection with the dug. He grunts in response  to Yuhears question, snorting a grunt, "Gweek! Grf Snf Gweek!"


The Translator chirping, "Don't know her. I'm Gruss."

Looking ahead to the collapsed tunnel he turned the Speedster, in a hard turn, heading for the open tunnel.

If he needs it I can throw in a Fate Point to invoke my Jedi aspect for a +2 using the Force Push, but it looks to me like he just got a Great +4 result by himself. Yes?
And BTW, if you're using the Dice Roller built in here, you can set the Game System/ Special Dice to 'Fudge' (dF) and it'll give you +1/0/-1 results for the number of dice you indicate (4 by default). I haven't found a way to modify the roll for your approach level, though... Or you can get a set of Fate Dice for home for like $6 or $8. They're fun to have and pretty cheap.

Yuher straightens up as they come out of the turn and slaps Gruss on the back. "Fine piloting, Gruss!" He lights his saber once more and picks up scanning the crowd.

The pat on the back was nice but the boar would only turn his head briefly to the Bothan again, "Gweek! Gur Gweek! Gweek!" He grunted agitated, the translator chirping in a more hurried tone, "Trying to scare her off? Light off!"

Gruss makes an amazing maneuver. Pulling the speeder into a high bank then a tight roll between two cross beams. The sides of the speeder mere inches from the beams.
That is when he spots a human female on foot moving at a quick run between street foot traffic just beyond the tunnel on the street proper. (Invoking the female as a GM intrusion everyone in the speeder gets one FATE pt for this). " Lets not hit foot travelers!", yells Chullka setting his blasters to stun and coiling his legs ready to spring out at a seconds notice.

Your female quarry, looks back a moment seeing three not so "cuddly" rough looking males, staring straight at her. Bearing down in a souped up, " Hog",(no pun intended), she makes brief eye contact and turning away seeing a pedestrian. A squib male enjoying a hover board, darting in and out between foot traffic. She breaks full speed towards the squib . Looks like she is trying to make it for the hover board.

Grunts, just a grunt it seems As the translator remains quiet... As he speeds towards the hoverboard, before hitting on the reverse jets to slow. Didn't want to  hit pedestrians, and end up with his own bounty on his head. He'd try to cut her off her path to the hoverboard.

He dims his saber and then springs out of the speeder in a Force-empowered jump, sails through the air, and hits the ground running, hot on the woman's tail. If she tries heading through the narrow alleys on the hover board, Yuher is going to be ready for it.

AS HE REACHES THE BAR HE PLACES THE PALM OF HIS LEFT HAND ON HIS BLASTER AND WRAPS HIS FINGERS AROUND THE HANDLE READYING THE WEAPON TO BE DRAWN.

Don't forget to specify which Approach you're using and then add its rating to your dice rolls. The roll is a modification of your rating, not a replacement for it. (e.g., You could jerk your speeder to the side Quickly, using that rating, or maneuver around the pedestrians Carefully, and use that rating, or shut down the turbine with a built-in kill switch Cleverly. I'm not sure exactly how you could turn it Stealthily, but if you can explain it the GM might allow it. Be aware, of course, that the Approach you use may modify the price you'll pay if you succeed narrowly or the complication you face if you fail.

Yuher stays on top of her, looking to leap for her as soon as she breaks out of the crowd. He doesn't want to give her a straightaway to build up speed, but he does want to see which way she's headed first.

Yuher is moving Quickly to leap on the unsuspecting woman before she can get out of his range.
Quick +3 Good w/ roll +1 for a Great (+4) result. And you know what? I'm gonna spend a Fate Point to add my Quick on the Draw aspect for a +2. Yuher picks exactly the right moment to strike without hesitation. That brings my total up to Fantastic +6, which is at least 3 shifts above the difficulty, so I get to Succeed with Style. That means I get a free boost against my target. I'll call it Wind Knocked Out of Her, and unless she uses an Overcome action to erase it, I get to invoke it once for free.
Yuher is down to 3 Fate Points now.

A Mon Calamari food vendor shouts angrily at Yuher when he leaps from the top of his food cart, but the Bothan ex-Jedi ignores it as he goes on to catch the thief in a beautiful, flying tackle just as she breaks out of a large crowd of people. Yuher lifts the flap on the bag and takes a peek inside.
Bothans don't pale--but if they could, Yuher would be white as a sheet. His jaw hangs slack. His breathing catches. He stops walking for several seconds.
He turns the bag such that his friends can see under the flap, too. Inside is a sleek, black, rectangular metal box with a number keypad and a red display in the center. There are no other markings on the unit, but something about it gives the impression of military precision. Flashing on the display in basic are the words "READY TO PRIME COUNTDOWN SEQUENCE".
Yuher's voice comes out in a halting croak. "I--is this a bomb?"

But now in arms reach of a bomb!

The hutt is talking to the barkeep an Aqualish male. The Aqualish talks in excited tones. His raspy voice becoming louder. He reaches into the first grate and draws back his hand with a harsh word from the hutt,"doma he'lagre! Contra fade gul," says the hutt . The Aqualish stands upright and passes a large pack to the hutt and the hutt orders the Noktos to push the hover sled to the back room. The aqualish says in basic," Free drinks all around courtesy of Gombra the hutt!" A cheer goes up in the building as the band strikes up a lively tune. Its at this time that you notice a bandolier of E-clips across the hutts chest. This hutt is no mere hutt, but an adventurer!

By the time Gruss and his cohorts make it back to the Den, the CorSec unit has already vacated the premises, called away by more pressing calamities. Debris from the fallen lights is nowhere to be seen.  In fact, between the placid roar of the crowd and the silent ministrations of the serving droids, you can't tell there was ever an incident.
A tall Mandalore in a plate cuirass and shoulder half-cape is absently twisting one of her dreadlocks and talking to the pretty Twi'lek girl that ordered the party into action earlier. As soon as the three walk into the club, she turns and strides toward you. Her brow is furrowed and her lips set in a grimace until she sees the bag Yuher is carrying. She doesn't quite smile, but she does loosen up a bit.
"V3-6 wants to thank you for retrieving her property. Please follow me."
At the table to which she leads you, a willowy droid with a segmented cylindrical body and four thin arms sits across from a tense Cerean naval officer. The lights across its faceplate flash a muted spectrum of warm oranges and magentas as you approach, and it brings its four claw hands together in front of it in a gesture that's vaguely contemplative. Its voice is silky and distinctly feminine.
"Greetings and salutations, worthy friends. Tava, would you be so kind as to pull up some chairs for our esteemed guests? While her bodyguard brings the chairs, the droid waves over a server to take the party's drink orders.
"Please order whatever you'd like," she insists quietly. "It's on me."

"I assume that will be acceptable?" She doesn't even wait for a response before continuing. "And if you wouldn't be averse to making a few more credits today, I have a proposal for you. My shipment is landing on Pad 16 later tonight. It's a rather substantial cargo destined for one of the nobles that likes to vacation here; and based on the recreational nature of its contents, I have a suspicion it may draw unwanted attention. There's one gang, in particular, about which I'm concerned."
She opens her top two hands to include the adventurers at the table and turns to regard each of them. "Concerned enough to make it worth your while to protect my interests."
She spares a nod to the Cerean naval officer, who excuses himself stiffly and heads for the door. V3-6 transitions back to you with liquid grace. "Would you care to hear more?"

As if on cue, Tava reaches over Chullka's shoulder and places a small holoprojector in the middle of the table and taps a button. The projector shines to life, displaying a figure of a tall, lean Arkanian man with platinum hair and a severe, hawkish face.
"Hyrim Natendal," Tava growls. "Worst kind of scum. He promises kids and people down on their luck strength and health through drugs, then experiments on them."
V3-6 nods, and her voice affects an off-handedness that sounds either coy or bored--it's hard to tell which. "Morality notwithstanding, the man is ruthless and quite brilliant, and he has the money and the forces to make himself a threat. It's not wise to underestimate him."
Tava's voice is low and grim. "He's got at least twenty enforcers of his own, and he hires muscle like it's going out of style. We know he's got access to at least two assault droids. Maybe a hover tank, as well." Her mouth twists in frustration. "Maybe. We aren't sure."
"Hm. Indeed. At any rate, this is the man I suspect will try to steal my customer's goods. If you keep them out of his hands, I'll reward you handsomely. If not," she splays her top pair of hands in what's probably meant to be a shrug. "you'll likely be too dead to worry about it. Would you care to take the job?"

Looks like he figures he can recoup his losses and even turn a profit if you waste Bonduna. My own business interest have run afoul in the form of investment I will lose if the bounty is not collected. I normally do not offer bounties offered by others but my investments are at risk and it would look bad withing my clan for me if I lost so much."

SUDDENLY MAKUUB IS STOPPED IN HIS TRACKS BY A PIERCING FEELING IN THE BACK OF HIS NECK, FOLLOWED BY THE FEELING OF DIZZINESS. Yuher stands against the wall beside the door with his hands folded in his cloak, an old habit from his Jedi training. His eyes are closed, and you might be tempted to get the impression that he's napping standing up.
His eyes open when Talia finishes, though, and he's about to speak when the Gamorrean laughs and makes a snide comment. Yuher squints curiously at his comrade for a minute before he says anything.
"I'm sure we could survive a direct assault, Mr. Gruss, but it's always nice to know what you're walking into before you get there." He casts a glance sideways at La'fenna and turns to face Talia. "I'm with Talia. Reconnaissance is smart, not cowardly. Chullka, Gruss, and I made a good team earlier, so I recommend we stick together."
He favors Chullka with an inquisitive look. "Wasn't there a slicer among your groupies that had connections inside the CityGov servers? It'd be nice if we could get blueprints for their base, maybe power distribution if they're using the city power grid. Might tell us if they're running droid fabrication. Or charging a hover tank."

Looked up from the maintenance on his vibro-axe, snorting hard his beady eyes looking on narrowing for a moment, his grunts thought as ridicule. He had certainly agreed with Talia, but this only proved why he never liked talking, the Gamorrean was never quite understood.

Tiki then stands off to one side opens the drivers door and extends his hand towards the drivers seat, like a sales man offering a test drive.

The gamorrean seemed to give a smile, grunting and snorting in what could only be excited laughter. "Gwerk snrk gwerk Snrk gwk!!"   Slapping his vibroaxe atop the dash into it's clip, starting up the speeder. This might be fun after all.

There is only two giant blast doors in, back and front doors? Although there is a sky walkway between this building and a local administrative building. Oh and that tank boys,......seems our friend has a battered looking siege tower,...its currently on the north east end of the compound. Figures dressed in piecemeal clothing, it hiding their gender and race scurry about moving quickly out of the way of Gruss' speeder. Yuher brings his lightsaber up as the enemy starts concentrating their fire on him, but he doesn't slow his pace. He swats one blaster bolt aside and rolls left to avoid another. When he sees the repeating blaster come out, though, Yuher heads for a nearby wall to take cover.

He tosses a plasma and an EMP grenade to each party member. " Like I said, just in case,". He makes his way deeper into the compound taking point.

It is seeping from the floor/grate above. Chullka takes out a small light tube and sticks it in his mouth, aiming it and his two fisted blasters up as he walks around under the upper grate/floor. "Fundim! You up there?", he shouts taking aim and swiveling his head shining light on the upper area." Its your old swoop buddy, Chullka!" A soft moan is his only reply

Turned the speeder about  backing it up in the entrance of the blown out door. He left the speeder on hover, hoping with it backed into the door, it'd be less seen. Locking down the console, and grabbing his vibro-axe he followed the group. No way he'd miss a fight.

AS HE LEAPS OFF THE HOVER BIKE, YOU CAN HEAR THE SOUND TRAVEL THROUGH THE AIR JUST MERE SECONDS PRIOR TO HIS SWIFT LANDING IN THE SAND. AS THE SOLDIER LOOKS ON AT HIS MASTER, HE BRINGS HIS BIKE TO SUDDEN HALT AND AWAITS NEW ORDERS.

(You can either try and stay conscious, by either a force power you have/stunt/aspect. Or you can try and roll a superb on 4d6's , normally that would be five +'s ,but is only four +'s because the mercs rolled only a one +)  Or you can let him get stunned.)

Its a little more  of a raised area then a true second floor. Some of the solid floor has been replaced with a interlocking metal grate and and there are two sets of stairs leading up to that level. There are several spires leading further up that you can see and you can make out what looks like flashing screens and other equipment. You also see a dark figure among the other objects on the floor above,maybe  that's the slicer Fundim.

Chullka goes over to the fallen Sullustian and turns him around. The sullustian has a burned patch on his abdomen where you took the blaster bolt. His breathe is coming in short breathes and his eyes are barely open slits.

Chullka grabs his shoulder pouch and pulls out a bacta trauma patch. " The blast vest took some of the force of the shot." he says opening the front of Nrurb's tunic. " But he's in bad shape. We might be able to get his stabilized . maybe not.We should get him to a med center or back to the ship" he says as he peels the plas layer off the patch and sticks it over the Sullustians upper chest. He then pulls a field medics micro doc from his pouch places it on the sullutian's forhead with its leads to his neck. " Lets look around. There was a reason he was attacked by those Ganks. Got to be something big, Nrurb has been a slicer for fifty cycles and never had such a bad attack like this."

Once he gets a feel for the space, Yuher sets his Cleverness to the task, trying to figure out the most likely places to find valuable items based on what they seem to contain.

HE RAISES HIS HAND AND WITH THE USE OF THE DARKSIDE, REFLECTS BOTH SHOTS SENDING THE BLASTS FLYING BACK TO THEIR ORIGIN. THE FIRST OF THE BLASTS HITS ONE OF THE HUMANS JUST UNDER HIS  HIS CHIN AND OUT OF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD LEAVING A LASER BURN IN ITS WAKE ON THE BACK OF THE WALL JUST ABOVE WHERE HIS HEAD WAS ORIGINALLY SET. THE SECOND BLAST, CAUGHT THE OTHER SOLDIER COMPLETELY OFF GUARD. AS HE WATCHED HIS COLEAGUE FALL TO THE GROUND, THE LASER HITS HIM IN THE LEFT CHEEK AT A DIAGONAL ANGLE AND EXITS THE ORIFICE OF HIS RIGHT EAR. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT MAKUUB IS IN THE CLEAR....FOR NOW.
