In reply to Yuher Tru'sar (msg # 899):

the NPC thugs, rolled 1 using 4 Fudge dice ((-1, 1, 1, 0))
The reptile thugs are returning fire but get pushed back while seeking cover of their own.
"Sound the alarmss!" you hear one say as blaster bolts ,and slugs fly over you.
B4-86 rolled -1 using 4 Fudge dice ((-1, 0, 0, 0))

Poor B4-86, He takes two blaster hits to his crotch area and gets a sparking hole there. "Oh the indignity!!" He yelps as he gets behind the lift doors. His complaints so loud they are easy to hear over the fight.

Chullka  Chullka rolled 2 using 4 Fudge dice ((-1, 0, 0, +1,+1-1))uses his blaster fu and he is driven back behind the cover from inside the lift. " We have a bantha poodoo turf gang waiting for us??!!" he says trying to lay down cover fire. Poor La'Fenna in a limp weight as you rescue her.

Going with a Quick (+3) approach this time:

20:01, Today: Yuher Tru'sar rolled +3 using 4 Fudge dice ((-1, 1, 1, -1)).

Yuher leaps into the midst of the guards, lightsaber flashing this way and that and deflecting blaster bolts into the ground and walls around him. He drops to the ground in a roll to dodge slugthrower fire. As the Jedi springs up from the roll, he bounds into the air and throws his saber in a whirling arc at one of the guards.

You slice one of your attackers cleanly in half. The smoldering torso falls away from thrashing legs. The remaining thugs,(you count four more), increase their attack giving in to their reptilian blood lust. One in a dirty flight suit kicks his fallen comrade away in a skid of dust and small rocks.

Dodging with a Quick (+3) approach:
05:41, Today: Yuher Tru'sar rolled +3 using 4 Fudge dice ((1, -1, -1, 1)).
Hm. Is that good enough?

Finding himself under heavy fire, Yuher keeps up a desperate running pace, diving into a roll behind some crates and then popping up just in time to snatch his spinning lightsaber out of the air. He skids to a stop, swats back a blaster bolt, then ducks and reverses direction as slugs track the wall behind him. He winds up behind the crates again for a short breather.
"Everybody still doing okay?" he shouts to his friends, panting from the exertion.

Damn that weak lung and damn the foul Sith that gave it to him! If it got any of his friends killed today, Yuher was going to hunt that bastard down and tear his limbs off piece by piece.

Anger was good. Yuher felt the energy of his anger feeding strength back into his wounded body. He let it course through him, drawing from it the power he needed to protect his friends. He focused it on the filthy lizards that were trying to kill them. They'd chosen the wrong people to try and murder today, and they were about to pay for that blunder with their lives.

Yes that is good enough.

I would say you are where you described and the Trandoshan's have everyone pinned atm.

"Doing great!!!" Chullka says sarcastically trading blaster fire with the enemy, while using the much damaged lift as cover. You spy B4-86, his legs sprawled on the lifts floor. You don't know if he is deactivated of just laying low. As for La'Fenna she is behind a particularly large stalagmite trying not to get shot and waiting for her opening to return fire on the advancing thugs

13:11, Today: Yuher Tru'sar rolled +1 using 4 Fudge dice ((0, -1, -1, 1)).
Tsk. Well, that could've been better.

Yuher cries out, "All right! I'm gonna charge 'em on three! One--"
Without further narration, Yuher ignites his saber and leaps out from behind the crate.
Straight into focused fire.
As he dives away and desperately defends himself against the hail of blaster bolts, the ex-Jedi grumbles to himself, "Damn. Not as stupid as they look, are they?"

Seems you are holding your own but they do seek cover not expecting a bold charge. This gives La'Fenna just enough time to cock the massive slid on the even more massive slug thrower she got from Gruss and she; bracing herself on the stalagmaite lets off semi auto volleys from the huge pistol.

La'fenna Tacha rolled 3 +1 to quick using 4 Fudge dice ((0, 0, 1, 1 +1))

She drops one of the attackers. This drives the thugs back their reptilian thugs darting a full foot from their mouths. You hear their angry hissing as they hide behind cave cover of their own. Chullka takes this chance to reload his weapons and to mount a scope on his blasters. B4-86 is still prone and groaning pathetically, La'Fenna shaken by the slug throwers power has ducked back down and is loading its heavy rounds into the chambers. From behind their own stalagmites you hear a hissing voice say," There is no escape Bothan. Give us the droid and the female and whatever wealth you have including your Jedi sword and we promise you safe passage into the under warrens."

Gonna try to use the Force to just blast a hole in their cover. The good, old Forceful (+2) approach:
13:09, Today: Yuher Tru'sar rolled +0 using 4 Fudge dice ((-1, -1, 0, 0)).

Oi vey. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that didn't do a heckuvalot.

Reminded of his fury by the lizard's taunting words, Yuher growls and sets his will against the wall behind which their attackers cowered. Cracks form in the natural rock. Dust rains down from the ceiling and falling stones clatter across the hard floor.
He doesn't get to finish his great work, though. When a slug zings off the ground beside him, the warrior has to fall back behind the crate again to keep from getting ventilated.

Actually that causes a cave in that buries the reptile thugs beneath mounds of rock. The cave is so unsound that the cave in continues and spreads all the way to the lift. "Run for it!" yells Chullka. "it's not stopping!" He gathers up the droid and hunched under the weight drops down low to the ground and heads to the only passage leading away from the lifts general area.
Following Chullka,La'Fenna runs after him,"The dust from those crumbling rocks carries vek gaku poison gas in the clouds! Lets get out of here!"

Breathing hard Le'Fenna looks away from the cave in in the distance of the tunnel many meters down where they had just been. "Certain crystals exist in some of the natural formation of stone in the less occupied areas of our warrens." Shaking her head she adds "and as you can see, outsiders and off worlders often seek opportunistic ploys in our lawless areas." Looking down the other end of the tunnel, where small electronic scounches rest on the sides of the walls, she points to a blue glow in the distance. "Looks like that is the entrance to the underwarren."

(Not a bad roll)

Traveling for the better part of an hour. As the party approaches a large better lit cavern they begin to hear the sounds of music. The sound of Enki unmistakable. As you move closer there is indeed some sort of street festival going on. Albeit a pretty rough and tumble one. There are musicians sitting cross legged on the floor playing on needle thin flutes. A more modern group of droids playing electro instruments joining in. There are tables set out between buildings and structures amist various twilek and other beings conversing, eating, and dancing. The jovial nature of the scene can not be mistaken, the contrast is stark given the look and reputation of the underwarrens.

Looking around you all notice that the twileks at the fringe of the party as well as their non twilek guests are staring at you.
(Looks like they want to see your intent.)

A very large twilek, pale skinned, scarred, and heavily muscled saunders over to the party. You notice his scars run a pattern of violence on his bare chest, arms and face. These in turn are woven with intricate patterns of purple stained tattoos on his body. Looking more closely you recognize the patterns as temporary wedding tattoos, that some tribes used in more ancient times. Seems the tradition has not been lost here in the underwarrens.
"I am Nikko'Vosh", says the weathered looking twilek his head tails twitching. You notice one has an expensive prosthetic grafted onto it. It's metallic surface mimicking the look and function of normal head tails."You have stumbled onto my very wedding ceremony. My third one this year!" he guffaws, slapping the front of his shoulders in some archaic display of prowess. "I and my troop would be happy to assist you and your family unit."
"Family unit?" Chullka asks out loud
"Indeed!" says Vosh mirth in his eyes. "A jedi outcast, yes?" " I see you have done well for yourself as even Jedi have fire in their loins. Let only the sad young self imposed eunuchs and the oldsters of the order never feel the touch of a woman,eh master Jedi? You claimed a lofty prize", continues Vosh eyeing La'Fenna. "Daughters of Ryloth are more fickle then a spice trader, twice a shrewd, and do not give their charms to any lest she deems him the least bit unworthy." "As for your trained semi sentient cur here", he looks to Chullka. "The family is complete". "Now as to the comm center, It lays on the peak of one of the largest spires of the warrens. Well away from the cities and shanty towns. The only dangers once you reach is the spire or a portion of it is claimed my the Nikkto outlaw, Grum "Plug Eye" Fist. Never did see that as being a good name for an outlaw but we are talking a Nikkto. All I require for this help is a gift for my third bride." He motions to a barely out of puberty beautiful purple skinned twilek maiden.

Ooo. I like it! I'm having trouble deciding how much offense Yuher is going to take at his friend being called semi-sentient. He is having a bit of a rough day, but he's also on a time-table and doesn't really want to fight everyone here.
Maybe I'll co-opt Fenn for a sec to curb his darker impulses, shall I?

Yuher's eyes darken at the man's comment about Chullka and his hand strays toward his side, but La'Fenna grabs his elbow before he can do something rash.
"Semi-sentient!" she giggles. "Oh, you have no idea."
She curls her lip to sneer at Chullka just a little--but only for effect. Really.
Yuher draws a deep breath and mutters "You're right. Thanks," before he looks up at the groom-to-be once more.
He can't quite manage to keep the rancor out of his voice when he replies, "Congratulations, friend. Your bride is beautiful as a Bespin sunset. Sadly, we're traveling rather light at the moment. May I instead offer her a song to honor her day?"

Okay, so the approach is gonna have to be Flashy. He's singing a song at a Twi'lek party, and I just don't see how he'd get any respect any other way. That only gives him a +1, though, so here's my plan: he's gonna use the Force to read the room and give him a feel for what kind of mood is going to do well with these folk. That and his natural Bothan charm means we can invoke the Bothan Jedi aspect for an additional +2 to the roll.
(I mean, I probably should've used my Force Empathy stunt and rolled this beforehand to Create an Advantage I could've invoked, but I didn't think about that until after I'd already rolled the dice...)

14:07, Today: Yuher Tru'sar rolled +3 using 4 Fudge dice ((0, 1, -1, 0)).

+3 Good... I really want a +5 Superb... Can I spend another Fate Point and invoke Yuher's Trouble "Everybody wants a piece of me" in the sense that these people just can't get enough of his performance?
