Act 1

In reply to Ando Corleon (msg # 5):

You push one stone. It slides back into an icky, crawler infested recess in the wall. At about your forearm the stone stops, pressing against something hard. You do the same to the other much to the same effect. You then push both together, the tiny stings of the crawlers irritating you. You feel a shift in the wall and it slowly grinds up. Bits of dirt and slime dropping from it.
Looking beyond you see a passage. Its solid azure color in stark contrast to the outer passages you have explored.

Guthrir comes up behind the others. "Sorry," he bleats awkwardly. "Got soomethin' nasty on me boots. What'd we find?"
When he spots the blue passage he whistles long and low. He asks his allies, "Ach. That hurts me eyes. T'ain't natural, whatever it be. What'dye make of it?"

Act 1

In reply to Ando Corleon (msg # 8):

You realize that the painted walls are laced with lapis lazuli, a semi precious stone. This goes on for many feet, the painted wash having a power fine ground up stone in it. "This is a small fortune." says Gannor looking at walls.(Being from across the great sea, from the relative same land mass as Maztica  he recognizes this stone as he pokes this wall at one of the scattered larger chucks of blue stone in the walls.
You also notice that this section is less worn the the passages you saw before.

Act 1

Ando scrapes his fingernails into the wall to see how difficult it may be to harvest the lapis lazuli. "Small fortune indeed. It won't be worth it to carry this around with us, it will slow us down. But whoever made this must have been able to afford even more further in...let's go."

Pry a few gemstones off the wall and keep going

Act 1

In reply to Guthrir (msg # 11):

The corridor is suprisingly  clean and well kept. Much different then the outer passages you explored. The blue hall yawns silently before you. A sense of dread comes over you as you peer down it.
(Do you continue or backtrack?)

Ando frowns and let's the dwarf go in front of him. Still, he's curious if there is more treasure beyond, so he continues.

Act 1

In reply to Ando Corleon (msg # 14):

The party continues on the corridor never changing. It finally ends at a large set of lapis double doors. The doors look to be made of the same blue stone and stand 8 feet tall and 5 feet wide each. The only noticable markings are a set of ancient runes across the top of both doors. There is also a curious door handle on each door. The stone has been cut and worked to two small fist sized ,"cups" on each door, each slightly recessed inside each door. The handles are silver and are two simple bars extending to a third horizontal bar. This bar can be gripped but there are two very sharp needle like points extending from each handle.
If they are used the user will surely stab his palms

Act 1

Ando has been studying them for quite awhile, "Right. I was waiting for one of you to volunteer. There must be some other way."

He didn't have anything like thieves tools, but maybe they could pry the handles using crossbow bolts.

"Here, let's try this." He slid a bolt between the handle and pulled.

You are slowly pulling the lock apart and away from the door.
It is still wedged fairly tightly and it will require a second DEX roll to finish the attribute test.

Act 1

In reply to Ando Corleon (msg # 22):

As you pry the doorknob off it clatters to the ground. You can't be sure but it seemed like the two needle sharp prongs on the handle just as it was falling off extended and lunged at you. (Some kind of trap? Vile magic?)
Sure looks that way as the knob twitches on the ground it's two silver points extending and contacting almost in frustration,....but that would be only your imagination right? You all have heard of golems and inanimate objects having a semblance of life. The half of the double azure doors you pulled the handle from inches open and stops. Barely a three finger distance in width. Darkness yawns beyond and the fetid stench of an open grave and the carrion within it wafts to you,....

12:01, Today: Ando Corleon rolled 16 using 1d20+7.  atk.

Suddenly Ando kicks the doorknob as hard as he can. Once this is completed he feels embarrassed for having done so and doesn't offer any explanation to the others.

"Smells terrible. This may be a bad idea, or it may be worth sating our curiosity." He slides his scimitar in between the gaps and pushes to lever the door open.

a small sigh seems to come from the passage.
