Into The Mystic

[Private to group Telepathy: Now, don't you be too concerned, honey. It's not like we're going to kill you, or anything. But you'll have to be stopped. I'm going to go find your flying friend and talk him down. You girls have fun.]
"Crazy old witch!"
The voice behind Bellissima, this time a voice attached to a person, sounds annoyed. "Admit it, you couldn't see me till miss big mouth pointed me out!"
Standing behind Bellissima is the famous Rachelle Yu, known as 'the female Jackie Chan' (and, yes, it does make her angry). She says, "I don't know you, and if I did I would probably like you so not knowing you is better. Which do you wish to do, surrender willingly or after I kick your butt?"

Bellissima spun around to face Rachel Wu, "You are right, I didn't see you coming until she gave you away." The brunette heroine nodded in agreement as she watched the famous oriental woman cautiously.  "Before we get started, just want to say you are an inspiration while I was learning martial arts and it will be an honor to get my butt kicked by you."

Bellissima focused her telepathy on Rachel, scanning her surface thoughts as she moved away from the van and to a more open area of the field.  She liked having space to move when she fought.  "Although there is a third option, you tell me what is going on around here, although I am betting you don't want to because it is illegal, otherwards you would have called the police to remove me." Bellissima flashed a grin at Rachel, "Then we have a friendly sparring session, kicking my butt, and then I walk away."  She counter-offered hoping to pick up actually information from the oriental woman's surface thoughts.

Hoping that she had distracted Rachel enough, but ready to avoid any attack, she reached down and turned on her radio, "NIMBUS!  Incoming! Insubstantial, flying woman with mental abilities!"

Rachelle remains about five yards away, cocks her head to the left, and says, "he can't help you. The witch has probably him thinking he's a doberman chasing a squirrel as he zips off through the clouds. She's like a spider sitting in the center of her web and pulling everyone's strings."
"But, I think I'll tell you what's going on before I take you down. That will just make you more desperate to do what you've no chance of doing. The people that go through the organization training, here, are implanted with hypnotic commands that can be activated in the future to perform actions belonging to one of several contingency plans. In the meantime, they work in and for the church, increasing its profit margin and expanding its reach."
"As this pertains to whoever you've come to inquire about, the answer is 'yes'. The massive stroke, aneurism, or suicide of the individual was most definitely a result of the church's meddling. Now you know."
"Here's what you don't know. I have to help them with some of the stronger willed people. People who, like you, have highly organized and energized mental processes. Father Kinkaid always says, 'if you can't heal their body, salve their mind. If their mind won't listen, rip out their soul!"

Rachelle sets her feet at right angles and slightly apart, holding her hands over her chest, one cupping the other with index fingers extended.

"I wasn't calling for help, just giving my friend a warning," Bellissima allowed the five yard distance to remain as she watched Rachel take her stance.  Bellissima had seen enough of Rachel's movies and read up on the woman enough to know that she was a better fighter than her.  Going defensive was the better option, get Rachel to move out of her stance and approaching, which was when a person was most likely to leave themselves open to an attack.  The most dangerous time in a fight was moving into range.  Bellissima was in no hurry to attack and she could attack from range if she wanted, she had two rocks picked out that were about 100 lbs.

Blinking as Rachel came right out with what was going, slightly surprised at the woman's bluntness and confidence in defeating her, but she guessed the famous martial arts had a right to be confident. "Since you are being so forth coming, how did you catch me?  I didn't see any cameras or bugs around the fence and thought I had picked a good enough place with cover to avoid casual observation?" The more she could keep Rachel talking the more information she could gather. "And is the old woman the one really in charge and Father Kincaid one of her minions?  And do you have to help because of hypnotic suggestions or are you willingly helping them?"

Bellissima was standing in a neutral but ready stance, giving away as little about her style of fighting as possible. Listening to what Rachel says and her surface thoughts to gleam as much information as possible.

Rachelle smiles, as she begins to sway in an almost hypnotic fashion, "That old woman, and myself, are tasked with keeping an eye on the new recruits, here. We spend most of our time floating unseen and watching for betrayal. Even when we're not watching, the old woman knows. We knew you were coming weeks ago, right after she told us the bomb would be a success. But she's not in charge. None of us are in charge. FORCE runs the place, and soon, he'll run more."
"Now, the reason I can be so honest and forthcoming is because I'm not going to hit you. I spent years perfecting those movie martial arts, and the first time I met a true master they took me without a single touch. THIS is the true power, feel it now."

Rachelle continues to sway, like a serpent, and opens her mouth slightly as if preparing to hiss.

Bellissima heard from Rachel's mind that she was going to attack her life force and drain her will.  Then her sixth sense went off warning her that danger was coming as the famous woman went into a hypnotic, snake like movement and then open her mouth.  The tall brunette woman couldn't sense what kind of attack hit her.  She was feeling something bad, but she didn't know what it was.  That worried her more than anything, she didn't know what was happening to her.  Time to get offensive and end the fight quickly because she didn't know how much time she had.

She extended her hand out towards Rachel, sending out her telekinesis to grab at oriental woman with the intent of picking the woman up and slamming her down against the ground as hard as she could at least 2o feet away from her. "Fine, if we aren't using martial arts, I can play that game!"

Rachelle slams into the ground, once. As her body moves towards the ground the second time, Bellissima's "grip" seems to slip from the woman and Rachelle rotates in the air to land lightly on her feet.
A small trickle of blood comes out the corner of her mouth, and Rachelle says, "that's pretty good. I'll study that. But it won't matter. In the ways that count, you're already defeated. Can't you feel it?"
She nods towards Bellissima, and the psychic feels as if a spear has been slammed into her chest.

Bellissima coughed, blood spurting out of her mouth and staining her lower lip causing her to lose her hold of Rachel, the oriental woman landing lightly on her feet. "The fight isn't over yet," Bellissima hissed back at Rachel.

Things weren't going well and whatever the woman had done to her was affecting her ability to focus as she reached out with her TK, trying to grab the woman again, with intention of sending her 100 feet away and then pounding her up and down against the ground as hard as possible.  If she could get a minute to herself, she might be able to heal whatever is affecting her once she was able to focus on her body and regenerate whatever damage there was.

Madam White Snake's ultra-fast blows are little more than taps. As Bellissima struggles to parry the attack sequence, she notes Madam White Snake's surface thoughts naming this as the Greased Lightning Kata. Bellissima can't stop a quick kick, forearm, and backfist strike (taking five points of SDC damage), but manages to parry the rest of the blows. Both of Bellissima's attempts at grabbing the villainess slip off the odd mystic protection Madam White Snake is using.

Bellissima was left backpedalling as Rachel released the Greased Lightning attack.  She had heard about it during her training, but had never seen it pulled off so effortlessly.  If she didn't have trouble breathing and felt like all of her joints ached like the worse fever she had ever experienced, she would have been much more admiring of the famous martial artist's skill.

"nngg... thanks... Madam nng.. Snake.  Drop... the nng.. sickness thing and I ..  will ... return nng  favor," she panted back as blood dripped down her chin.  She would have returned the favor and attack with her martial arts skill, if whatever was making her so sick was gone.  But as it was, there was no way she could match Rachel in a physical confrontation with the way she was feeling.  Focusing through her discomfort, achiness and overall terrible feeling, she grabbed at Rachel with her TK, trying to force her way past the force that was protecting Rachel, in an attempt to slam her against the ground.

As Bellissima attempts to work through her mystic shield, Rachelle attacks. Not using a kata, she opts for successive knife hand blows. Bellissima parries the first one, but the second one gets through (doing five more SDC damage). As Rachelle attempts a third knife hand blow, she is whisked away by an unseen force and slammed into the ground! Twice!
The second time, bounces off the ground and rolls up in a ball, gasping as if she's been hit by a truck. However, Bellissima is still in contact with Madam White Snake's surface thoughts, and she's thinking about the 'impact sponge' technique where one accommodates the blow and depends on healing later, but make it look like no amount of healing will ever help.
She does, in fact, look incapacitated. In her mind, she keeps chanting 'wait for it'.

Bellissima flinched as Rachel rolled up into a ball of pain, giving a very convincing act of being out of the fight, until she heard the thoughts.  White Snake was playing possum, trying to lure Bellissima in close and dropping her guard.  If she hadn't been reading the woman's mind, she would have falling for it too.

Frowning, she didn't feel right in just grabbing and smacking White Snake again, but also didn't want to reveal she was reading the woman's mind at the moment. Suddenly nodding as she remembered the standard issue handcuffs in her backpack.  She reached out and grabbed at White Snake, with the intention of restraining the woman in place.  She would roll White Snake over to her belly and yank the woman's arms behind her back as she walked over to the van to retrieve her handcuffs from her backpack.  "Stay down and I won't have to hurt you anymore."  She ordered cautiously as she kept her eyes on the famous martial artist.

Bellissima was keeping up her guard, she knew that White Snake was faking it, but maybe she could use it against the woman and get her handcuffed before she realized what was happening. Bellissima let herself be lead to the house on the hill and then into a room.  She was in shock that something was making her fear animals, twisting her memories of her interactions with animals, but she was a telepathy and she could see the underlining real memories under the corruption.  She wasn't sure that was going to help her if she ever encountered an animal right now, but it gave her hope that she would be able to shake off this irrational fear in the future, if she could just figure out how to remove the strange energy affecting her.

And she also still felt terrible, coughing up some blood occasionally, unable to hold her focus as well as she usually could.  She had a trick up her sleeve and now that she was alone, she was going to try it.  If that didn't work, she was going to have to find Rachel and get the woman to stop what she was doing to her.  Even if that meant beating her unconscious, maybe she had to maintain her focus to keep whatever going.

Ignoring the water and ibuprofen and tossing the cloth aside, as she settled into the bed, curling up as if she was going to sleep.  She took a deep breath and focused her mind through her discomfort, reaching into her body with her psionic ability to fix any damage done to her and hopefully clear out any poison or effect inside of her body. All she needed was a minute or uninterrupted time.

After a couple of minutes of focusing, Bellissima accepts that she can't heal herself anymore.  Whatever was affecting her, she couldn't detect.  She did feel a bit better, but she was feeling a disconnect between her mind and body which was disturbing.  As a high level athlete, she had a great sense of her body usually.  Fortunately she could breathe easier, but she was still feeling like crap, like she had a low grade fever.

But it was time to get back on mission.  She had to warn the others that this was a FORCE base.  As quietly as she could, she rolled out of bed and prowled to the door, listening through it with her ears.  Then she reached out with her mind, trying to find any thoughts close to the door and then anywhere within her reach.  Any mind she found, she would quick listen to their surface thoughts to see what each person was doing.

If there was no one close to her door, she would quietly try to open the door, although expecting it to be locked.

Into The Mystic

The house seems eerily empty. The only mind she finds is at the door, downstairs. The person seems agitated, and proves it by throwing a small explosive into the house, followed by a smoke grenade.
Judging by the surface thoughts, this is another member of the team!
