The reception area has opulent décor, with pink marble flooring and gold inlay on the elegant black walls. There are a number of very expensive-looking and indescribably “modern” art objects scattered throughout the room. The surface of the reception desk is a touch pad controlling everything from a computer workstation to the telephone and intercom. There are also several smaller workstations off of this console used by the numerous interns that work there. The lounge furniture is painfully stylish, and equally painful to sit upon.
The receptionist is exceptionally good looking, for a receptionist and the same can be said of the interns. Considering the nature of the business, this is probably intentional.

Jacob had done this sort of thing once before, working across jurisdictional lines.  It had been Chicago, assigned with Lt Broyko and an FBI agent to go after a super-powered convenience-and liquor-store robber that had made a run for it.  In that case, a SWAT team had been loaned to him.  Luckily, the arrest happened without shots fired.  Since this was not an attempt to arrest anyone, merely an investigation into the life of a missing person, the FBI was not required.
He pulled into the parking garage of One Police Plaza, and met with the liaison.  They were given an officer to drive them around where they needed to go (someone "desked" for some reason or another) and to act as validation of their authority to investigate within the city.
After dropping Bellissima at the apartment building, Jacob leads the way into the agency, and explains why they are there to the receptionist as he shows his credentials.

The receptionist, smiling, taps a few spots on her desk and says, "Mr. Davidovitch is here, I believe he's brought a guest."
A few moments later, a petite, dark-haired woman approaches Zee, and says, "You are the famous Chimp Man Zee, and I am the famous Madame Barpofsky. None of that matters."
"Did you find her? She can't be gone; she told me she wouldn't do it, again. Did Ms. Pembrose get you what you needed?"
"I am at your disposal, sir, what would you have of me?"

[Private to group LESPradio: +Justicar here, Investigation Team ~ Fingerprints are not as critical anymore, INTERPOL has already confirmed Madame Barpofsky's Id from her photo as Zinaida Navokov.  Fingerprints can completely verify, but at this point are non-critical.  You might try to gently ask about the 'Madame' about her Zinaida Navokov real identity but do so in private and as discretely as possible, it might give some clue as to who might want to abduct Holly Cook if such is a possibility.  I'm sure it is a sensitive subject to approach with her.

Something that occurred to me among asking family and coworkers perhaps Miss Cook had a boyfriend who might also be a source of information about her if you can locate them.

Madame Barpofsky reaches to the receptionist's desk and taps a control. Then she taps a very camouflaged earpiece and speaks, her words ringing through the intercom system. "The authorities helping return Holly to us are here. They have questions. All employees are requested, no, required to answer their questions fully and truthfully. If you have ANY information that will assist them, you WILL share it."
She taps her ear piece again, and turns to Chimp Man Z with moist eyes. "You have carte blanche. If there is ANYTHING that you want but can't reach, tell me. Holly was the daughter I never had, I won't let her down."

There is something personal that I feel I need to ask you, Madame Barpofski, Jacob says quietly, but not suspiciously so.  Just so you know, our agency is very thorough in its investigations.
He had heard the information Hikari had given over the radio, but he had not acknowledged it.  It has become his SOP to listen to police channels in case a powered situation occurs.  He switches to Russian.

Although only those familiar with the language will know what she says, there is no mistaking the combination of ice and venom in her tone as Madame Barpofsky answers, [Language unknown: "Uspeplal areanyshe, nitra laio messac m e ted seil khuylo, p is simoar whinos earad O sapale hoeima i naivei ortpa."]

Lilibeth had smiled at Madame Barpofsky when Jacob introduced her as a new detective but said nothing. That seemed like the right thing to do, if she were a junior detective. "Which isn't all that far from the truth she thought.

Runa hadn't spoken during the drive and continued to be silent. Lilibeth suspected that was probably due to her simply being uninterested in the sights, such ad there had been during the trip.

When Jacob began speaking Russian, she was even more impressed with him, something she hadn't thought was possible. That was finally enough to get Runa's attention. "You speak more than one language too. Just not Russian."

"I just think he is cool, now shush, I want to listen"

"Why? You can't understand them anyways."

"I liked it better when you were bored", Lilibeth thought back at Runa, hoping that the other failed to notice she had almost thought 'you" instead of 'it'
