He pondered the message for a few seconds his mind moving in its usual metahuman enhanced rapidity...

Setting the Autofacs back to AI controlled to focus his attention to this new development and addressed the Sea Sentinel - Robot Vehicle AI intelligence, "K-Sea.  Red-Alert.  Battlestations.  Ready Chaff Dispensers, and Smoke Dischargers and leave the dock.  Destination harbor location 'Alpha', prepare to spoof destruction if attacked and submerge the boat. Bring ALL A.C.E. Security Units on-line."

'Acknowledged Hikari. Working.'

Karl who was in the lab himself working on the experimental laser resistant armor surfacing, paused and looked up as the lab lights all turned red and he cocked his head commenting, '...a little of an over-reaction, possibly son?'

Hikari briefly replied, "...not as the only active Sentinel in Center City no.  If FORCE is deploying android infiltrators disguised as Active Sentinel members, I must assume all Reserve Sentinel Members ~ Crusader, Lite Star, Bellissima, Goliat, Recycler, TaoZen, Maharaja, etc... may have also been compromised ~ I'm IT. Once FORCE realizes his android infiltrators in the LESP HQ have been spotted... things may very well progress... rapidly.  See to mother protect her dad."

Karl snorted, 'You know very well Yumi is VERY capable of seeing after herself, but I will make sure she is informed. YOU stay focused on helping the LESP!'

"The MK IV Justicar's drones have been upgraded with Force Field Emitters correct?"

'Naturally.'

Hikari left the lab, "K2, Time to suit up"

'Acknowledged Sir.  On the main deck standing by'

Hikari switched to energy form and his cloud-like form seeped through the specifically designed tubes retrofitted throughout the ship hull to allow him near instantaneous travel to any section inside or outside the ship. On the ship's outside deck he switch back to human form near the waiting MK IV the AI suit immediately wrapped itself around him encasing him; systems coming online at the ready.

'K2 online, Sir'

Then Justicar replied to Detective Broyko on the Secure custom line... but switched to text message rather than spoken voice that sensitive bugs might hear...

With that Justicar's rocket thrusters lit and he was soon roaring across the sky for LESP HQ...

As Januchowski heads to the security office, the lieutenant went towards his office, with a slight detour. Approaching Paragon and Shockwave, Broyko asks Shockwave to come to his office and fill out some paperwork. After this is done, the detective explains that they have an internal issue that prevents them from verifying identifications as they need to, and if possible could Shockwave come back tomorrow.

Justicar notes his approach to the LESP HQ... at a mile and a half distant... he suddenly cuts his rocket thrusters and free-falls to less than a 30'ft NoE 'nape of earth' altitude before spreading his suit's mechanical wings and engaging his fan thrusters.  Keeping to NoE he follows the streets using buildings as cover to approach the LESP HQ surreptitiously... keeping below a 25'ft ceiling to hopefully avoid any radar tracking and IR Targeting.  The Fan thrusters are not 'quiet'... but they are significantly less noisy {about a little louder then a running car engine}  than the rocket thrusters...

On arrival he lands outside the Converted Firestation and pauses as if performing a systems check of the MK IV suit as it will be noted to some that this suit has been not seen in weeks and it has been 'modified' with sleeker styling lines and smoother more fluid joint articulation.

Needing a drink of water, and possibly delaying the inevitable as he waited to here Broyko's response, Shockwave crosses to water bottle/coffeepot area. He takes a paper cone off the bottom of the dispenser, fills it about two-thirds full of water, and drinks it.

Seeing Shockwave getting water, Viktor Broyko looks down at his empty cup, and shrugs before hurrying towards the young man. "It's a definite yes. But listen, we're always short-handed because we've got a serious attrition rate. This is, officially, the most battered squad in the city. Be sure your ready to take the risks before taking the job."

Drifter's rigged coffeepot explodes.
Stainless steel coffeepot shards flew outwards from the pot. Shockwave, being closest to the offending coffeepot, bore the brunt of the blast. He flew forward straight into Viktor Broyko's arms. Together the pair stumbled back and fell. Broyko gets up and waves at Drifter, emphatically shouting 'come over here' before he looks down at Shockwave and stops, only to stand and stare.
Two or three other patrolmen are rushing around putting out fires. No one else appears to be injured. Those nearest the blast had stopped most the shrapnel. The single largest piece had pierced the back of Shockwave's skull. The new hero was no more.

The explosion within the LESP HQ registers clearly upon the MK IV's Advanced Audio System and dread fills the Young hero's heart.  It is not well-advized but he reacts on emotion rushing into the building to try to help or save lives when all reason would tell him to stay put... he doesn't listen.

Justicar enters the HQ heading toward the epicenter to where his sensors registered the explosion.

Storming into the office area running far faster than suit use to be able to move.  He looks for Detective Broyko and immediately moves to his side while K2 launches a  pair of drones which immediately extend their anchors and emitters erecting two blue glowing fields of force energy boxing both the Detective and Justicar behind protective fields with a wall to their back...

"Detective...are you alright?!? What happe..."

Then he noticed the ruin of the young man Shockwave he'd met early that morning... the young very eager hero... now very dead.

"...oh gods."

There was So much blood...

with what would likely be his last round of sabotage.  Drifter will down load any and all personal files of the LESP and send them out on to the public world wide web.  No secret transmutation he will be letting all the data he can be revealed.

Were Justicar less distressed and gripped by grief and or knew for a certainty who was responsible he could very easily slam down a ECM Jamming over the entire building that would shut down ALL Wireless communication that was not hard-lined but the young man is filled with likely misdirected guilt that he was unable to stop this loss of life... this death.

Instead he focuses on Detective Broyko looking to see if he is in anyway injured.

Addressing Detective Broyko, "Sir are You hurt?  Do you know how this happened?  Where is Januchowski?  I.. I'm so sorry... I should have been here... I might have..."

All pertinent questions but clearly, not critical, the young hero's emotional distress is clouding his thinking speed so he is not acting but waiting for direction from the detective...

K2 does not need to hack the LESP wireless network having already clearance and access to utilize and access the network...

Detective Broyko shakes his head and then points to his ear.
Then he says, "ya know, none of the guys on their little sabbatical should be back. But they're here. I saw Drifter come in through the front door, myself."

Justicar nods, "Sir, if we have been infiltrated by android dopplegangers there is no telling how many explosives have been secreted within the LESP HQ, we should evacuate the building and send in a bomb searching SWAT to clear the building. I'm more concerned about the safety of our personnel than engaging in battle with the unknown capabilities of android infiltrators while our staff is in the line of fire."

Now more calm and thinking clearer, Justicar activated his Android Detector and began scanning the personnel in his immediate area... awaiting directions from Detective Broyko.

The lieutenant chuckles, somehow finding humor in their situation, and starts pushing himself to his feet. "Drifter doesn't use doors, Paragon doesn't appear to have her badge or gun, and Winter Herald hasn't reported directly to me after arriving. One of them blew up the coffee pot, THEY'LL PAY FOR THAT!"
Realizing he was being overly dramatic, Broyko says, apologetically, "I may be a little concussed."

Justicar's expression was concealed behind his visor but his tone softened, "Of course Detective..."

Gently as possible Justicar examined the detective's head for any evidence of a contusion or injury from a blow...

"You may have a slight concussion sir, if you don't mind I'm going to take some actions feel free to countermand me if you have a better perspective or I've missed something Sir?"

With that Justicar stood up and walked to the edge of his drones projected Force Screens and did a thorough scan of the personnel present with his Android Detector... even if androids are detected he will turn on his loudspeaker and direct everyone to exit the building and help the injured as well... HE will take care of Detective Broyko.

He will position himself as directly as possible between the Detective and any detected androids, but will NOT reveal he knows they are just position himself directly between them and the detective, then have K2 shuts down the force fields and recall the drones to their ports on the armor.  He will leave Shockwave's corpse where it is for the paramedics and forensics officers to deal with.

Hikari will call emergency services that there an emergency situation at LESP HQ and paramedics are required, one confirmed deceased.  He will also put in a call to E-SWAT that there has been a bombing at the LESP HQ and a bomb sweeping team is required to sweep the building for further threats.

Justicar will confirm that the fire alarm has been set of in the building by K2, then will help Detective Broyko up and escort him personally from the building to the paramedics when they arrive...

He will set K2 to continual scanning and Identifying any androids with the exiting LESP personnel, the arriving Paramedics, E-SWAT officers or any civilian bystanders watching the evacuation.  But Justicar will stay near Detective Broyko and will not leave his side interpossing between the detective and any detected android... he will not speak to how many if any androids he detects keeping that info to himself ~ for now.

Noting the presence of Drifter still in the area Justicar will scan him with his Android Detector but not make a scene of it as he moves himself between the potential android and the detective and addresses him...

Justicar quietly locks his weapons targeting array on "Drifter" internally turning the safetys off on his laser and blaster hand...

Drifter should know where Runa is he was with her that morning and can make communication portals with any person he is familiar with he could find her that way... so Hikari knows this is not the real Drifter...

He cocks his head "What? How is it you don't know ~ you were talking to her just this morning? Are you feeling well? Were you injured in the explosion?"

Hikari is stalling... to get a good reading on his sensor scans directed at the imposter Drifter...

NOTE: If Drifter is out of range of his detector Justicar will casually approach to just within sensor range but no closer. Mindful to keep Detective Broyko behind him ready to cover him and block/interpose any attack directed at him.

I can see you at the moment and so I know where you are at this current time.  But if you were to leave and go down town to some random location at some undetermined time, then how am I supposed to know where you are?  I cannot be everywhere or go everywhere at once! I am not that powerful.  I need co ordinates of some kind! preferably known ones.  Just because I was talking to her earlier does not mean I know where she is now.  She has left the building and has not given anyone any sign of where she currently is."

Winter Herald strides swiftly to Januchowski, shouting "Everyone! Run! This isn't me!"
Large blades whip from Winter Herald's left wrist, extending almost a foot past his left fist. His arm whips around and the blades stop a few inches from Januchowski's neck. "Run, ski! I can't hold this guy back and concentrate on the jungle at the same time!"

The detective yells out "Paragon! Rogue protocol."
As the uniforms grab some unusual weapons from the rack and chase after the android, the detective tells JUSTICAR, "stop that drifter."
Then he stands and moves toward Winter Herald while drawing his service revolver. Without speaking the detective fires two shots into the android's feet.

Justicar replies, "On It!"

Slipping his left arm behind him under his 'Ballistic Cloak' a metallic ~ 'CLANK!' is heard and he raises the arm again to aim a large metal flashlight like attachment clamped to the forearm with its blunt bulbous head at Drifter...

Justicar fires the netgun at Drifter aiming to entangle him in the metallic net to prevent him running until he cuts himself free {no easy feat considering the metallic cabling of the net}.  Not a permanent entangle but enough to slow him down for what comes next...

Combat Computer, Integrated Weapons Systems with Laser Targeting already locked on Drifter... with a spreading large net; it is not hard to hit but IS hard to avoid...

"K2, Containment Protocol ~ Drifter!"

To which the internal AI launches three drones which position themselves around Drifter whether he struggles with the net distraction or not, set their anchoring utility limbs and each extends two of their Force Field Emitter 'limbs' to encase Drifter in five glowing fields of blue force energy "Boxing" him from any escape.  The five 10'ft planes of force edges do not touch the stationary drones anchored in place keep a 1 inch gap between the edges of the erected force field planes.

But Justicar is still in motion as the empty expended netgun launcher jettisons from its armature mounting on his forearm and he does something none have ever seen him do before ~ with his left he draws his father's German Bastard sword 'Caladburn' that has been carried and never drawn from its shoulder sheath opposite the sheathed katana of his Tokyo family.

With his right arm he reaches back to magnetically attach the metallic mechanical grip of his plastic transparent riot shield to his forearm and the whirr of the arm servos that mechanically locked the shield to his right forearm...

Moving with a speed unseen before in the Justicar suit ... it is clear the suit's speed and fluidity has been heightened as he moves with a blur of speed to interpose between Winter Herald and officer Januchowski, the bastard sword 'clanging' loudly as Justicar bats the forearm blades away from the shocked officer standing ready to defend him sword and shield in hand.
