That's an appropriate interpretation, sorry I didn't get a more definite response in. RL has been more difficult lately, I swear God just shoved the 'people are stupid' slider all the way to the end.

It's been a steady slide, acerbated by the Corona that went around in 2020. The percentage of drivers that were bad went up from about one in three to fifty percent, because all of the decent drivers had enough money or pull to get a work from home job, while stiffs like me had to share the road with stiffs that think the transit to and from work is the best opportunity to show of their mad NASCAR skillz and become the next "Intimidator."

It hasn't reversed itself, either.

Also, I did notice after the fact that, yes, a card was handed to Garcia in the thread, implying that my favorite person to be suspicious about was in range to hand a card to one of our crew, meaning he was already aboard. He's not blowing the boat up with himself on it, unless he is a machine. The presumption I had was that he was delaying boarding and delaying interactions with us, which combined with the skip in my observation caused me to assume he was up to something that required time. My brain immediately went to "aquatic demolition job," with the intention that as soon as we had distance between us, he'd blow up our boat.

We'd still get where we were going one way or another, I have little doubt, but our position would be weakened considerably. And yes, a torpedo would be more efficient than deception and SCUBA demo work. I'm probably just getting rather used to flourishes.

Hahaha! Your good Winter!  Your only being paranoid... until your not being paranoid Enough!  All good reasons to be wary AND you did your best to account for what could be a real threat..without alerting or alarming everyone else!  So.. in my book you did well and what you needed to do.. no foul and no criticism from me for following your gut!

I am confused. Is Drifter now on the Shadowhawk? Is his disembodied voice coming from the air?

I was mostly holding off in case someone else had something to add. Because I do have a few things to say. I'm just seeing if someone beats me to it.

Same, as always, I expected Psi-Bird's position would be taken in the most extreme way possible she will clarify her position once others have had a chance to say something but keep in mind exactly what she said she is not anti-technology!  Nor is she anti-robot, she just feels robot's should not be fighting human made wars.

I do not know why Drifter would even be aware of our conversation he is not here? I don't know why he can even 'see' our thread we certainly cannot see their thread in Chinilaya?

Drifter wasn't on the boat[Private to Drifter: he could interact with those on the boat through a few of his abilities, but that would have to be done with some preparation and forethought as the GM has the threads actually separated by a day or two].

Yeah. There is no doubt Drifter has the ability to open portals for transport or communication... the issue is the seeming omniscience to even know a conversation is going on and or the location of the other team when we are no longer at the marina.. so how did he know where we were or that we were even having a conversation ~ to even open a portal?

And if that is the interpretation, that a communication Rift can in fact, cross not just SpaceTime but just Time, that is a dangerous power. You've just established that, from now on, any trouble the PCs get into, can easily be negated by Drifter opening a communication Rift to the past by a few hours and warn the party not to do X or to do X.

Wow.  I guess that IS omniescience.  That's really powerful.  Is communication ALL that can be used for? Cause that could get out of hand...

You could use it to tell them where you have hidden something that they may need.  Or, you could communicate with the past to tell your past selves something they will need to know, thereby altering the timeline.  Gives us the chance for a Re-Do.

That'd exactly what it means. Worse, it means the Bad Guys can do it too. Time travel in games, even if it's "only" communication, gets real messy, real fast.
