Runa had listened to the brief but detailed instructions Senior Garcia had given about how to use the device that would allow them to breathe under water. It seemed like magic to her, like many of the devices here in this time and place but she knew from Lilibeth they were not. Just clever contrivance of craftsmen and women.

Using the device, she exited the small canoe that had carried them close to the strange island, slipping under the waves with the rest. She held onto the torpedo like machine with the others and marveled at the small things ability to pull all of them with a quickness towards the island.

For this part of the mission, she was more an observer. If she was asked, she could no doubt wither away a part of the island ship and create an entrance for the team but that was not the preferred option.

She watched as the mind mage, Bellissima, attempted to use her power to open the way for them.

CMZ had listened carefully to the instructions about using the rebreathers.  While he had find it easy to breathe with it, he still finds himself holding hos breath for a large portion of the trip.
Once at the hatch, he waits the alloted amount of time, then reaches out to attempt to open it.  If he cannot open iteasily, he decides to try to wrench the hatch open with physical strength.

It soon becomes obvious that The Maharaja can't swim. Breathing through the device isn't difficult, but moving in the water without the assistance of the vehicle proves nigh on to impossible for the tall man. His relief, upon entering the hatch, is just as obvious.
But, he came to this world to be a hero. As soon as he's inside, The Maharaja activates his awareness of chi to look for potential enemies.

The heroes had coordinated their movements well. All of them were infiltrating the island at the same time.
[Secret to Winter Herald:As Winter Herald turns the wheel on the hatch (A3) and finds it open, he realizes he's not hearing any of the others having trouble. Looking down the shorline at Chimp Man Z, he sees the ape-ish man spin the wheel on the hatch he has approached with no more trouble than he himself had had. Entering the corridors, even his advanced senses hear nothing from the nearest rooms save the slightest trickle of water as if from a leaky faucet. There is noise coming from the corridor that runs past the airlock, but nothing visible. It's almost certain he hasn't been noticed.]
[Secret to Chimp Man Z:As he spins open the hatch he's been assigned (at A2), Jacob glances down the coast and notes Winter Herald just as the android's head drops out of sight through his own hatch. Although he hears some murmured conversation down the corridor, Chimp Man Z doesn't see anyone.]
[Secret to JUSTICAR:The handle on hatch A1 turns easily, and nothing prevents the robotic purveyor of justice from entering. Using his visual and auditory sensors to their utmost, Hikari detects nothing more than some murmured conversation down the corridor concerning the relative merits of science and magic.]
[Secret to Runa; Bellissima; Senor Garcia; The Maharaja:At Bellissima's urging, the airlock cycles open. Once the three heroes are inside, the floor closes slowly allowing them to gain their footing as Señor Garcia pilots the drone away to sabotage the submarine.][Secret to Runa; Bellissima; The Maharaja: It takes a bit more time for the water to be pumped out, and once it has a light above the single door in the room turns green. Opening that door shows a small changing room with another door, this one unlit and unlocked. Through that door is a corridor. As they begin to look into the corridor they notice Winter Herald standing quietly a few dozen feet up the corridor. Nothing else is heard.]
[Secret to Senor Garcia:Once the others pass through the airlock, it is obvious that it is operated solely from the interior. Señor Garcia would need to find another way to board the vessel.]
[Secret to Bellissima:At no time did any of the systems appear to create an alarm, nor do there seem to be many alarm systems hooked up. Perhaps they have another system in place.]
[Secret to The Maharaja:His awareness of chi extends about forty feet from him, and this includes the large room between the two corridors taken by the other team members and the area that his group just entered. There are three people in this room, none of them are masters of chi but all of them have a normal amount.]

Bellissima frowned as the airlock wasn't integrated with any other systems, once they got out of the airlock and into the corridor, she took off the breather, but kept it handy. "I haven't found a integrated security system yet, no alarms have been triggered that I can sense," she informed the others as she kept mentally searching for any technological equipment to contact, especially a camera. She could have communicated telepathically, but she was too tired and needed to conserve her strength as much as possible.

The Maharaja looks at Bellissima, nods, then puts a finger to his lips as he waves frantically at Runa and Garcia. Once he has their attention, he points down the corridor towards the open area, and then holds up three fingers and waits for some sort of acknowledgment.

Waiting to see CMZ enter Justicar will focus his Auditory sensitivity on the cabin door he is at listening for any activity within the cabin.

Questions:
1. Are the cabin doors pressure doors?
2. Can Justicar turn up his Auditory gain to listen for a heartbeat on the other side of the door or hear footsteps within the cabin?
3. What are the walls of the Bio-ship interior made of 'organic' material {potentially flammable} or metal walls?
4. The conversation on magic vs science he will record but also try to run some voice recognition software... is any one of the three speakers identifiable as Dr. Phage?

It occurred to Winter Herald that his sensors might not be capable of perceiving a group that might not even be here, depending on how reliable their means of "dimensional travel" was.

He slowly moved to the source of the noise. If this was a trap of the kind he would have set up, it was a very expensive one.

He was annoyed at the misstep, though. That would prove a problem. He simply stood where he was, as if it were perfectly natural for him to be there, theoretically out of line of sight, until he confirmed someone was coming, or until he heard no movement.

Once it was clear that the rest of the team was able to gain entry into the underwater airlock using Bellissma's abilities, Senor Garcia turned the drone around and headed towards the rear of the submarine.


Once there he began the work of placing the explosives on/around the sub propellor. With eight packages of explosives provided, which was twice as much as needed, he quickly inspected each charge, using the six which were int he best shape, he placed six of the packages, keeping two for himself.

As per the team's discussion, Senor Garcia did not set up a countdown timer on the explosives. He then set up the remote timer tho, if need be, he could manually set off the charges. Next, he attempted to set up an anti-tamper device so that if anyone tried to remove the explosives they would go off. Last he set up a hair trigger that would set the explosive's if/when the propellors began to spin up.

OOC: My character never intended to enter the underwater airlock, as he still has to place the explosives.

Karl monitioring the situation from Justicar notes Senor Garcia's demolitions efforts to wire the escape sub... noting and identifying his difficulties takes control of drone-lambda and moves extending it manipulator arms to assist his efforts in setting up the trap construction for the booby-trap and the hair-trigger timer detonator.

Bellissima preps the Airlock for Garcia if he wants to use it to enter the interior after he was finished planting the charges on the submarine.  Seeing Winter Herald down the corridor, north of her for lack of a better direction, she waved at him.  She pointed at the hallway to the west, indicating he should check it.

She looked at Maharaja and Runa and pointed to the hallway that lead to a door across the hallway from the airlock, indicating they should check the door.  She indicated herself as staying here and watching to the south.  She could speak telepathically to people, but she was conserving as much energy as possible.

Runa nodded her head at the mind mage, looking the other woman in the eyes so that she would know she had seen her signal and understood its meaning.

Without a word, she moved down the corridor as silently as she could. 'Being a ninja' as Lilibeth called it, was not what she has trained for.
She reached the door and stood by it, waiting for Maharaja to be the one to open it as he most certainly was closer to being a 'ninja' than she was.

[Secret to Bellissima:After shutting all the doors, Bellissima has the airlock open to await Señor Garcia. How she'll know when he's in the airlock to shut the outer doors and drain the chamber is still a question. ][Secret to JUSTICAR:The cabin is completely silent, it must be empty. None of the cabin doors are pressure doors. There is no sound within the cabin, no matter how high the gain is set. The walls on the interior appear to be some sort of enamel, it is doubtful that it would be flammable, but it is likely that it would be combustible. The distant conversation has only two voices, voice recognition identifies neither of the voices but there are few clean examples of Dr. Phage's voice. ][Secret to Winter Herald:The only sensory data, of any sort, comes from Runa, Bellissima, and The Maharaja. ][Secret to JUSTICAR; Senor Garcia:It takes a some time for Señor Garcia to get the explosives set, even with the drone's help. ][Secret to Chimp Man Z:Jacob sees nothing but JUSTICAR coming in through the other hatch, and carefully assessing the situation before giving Chimp Man Z a thumbs up. ][Secret to Senor Garcia:After the explosives are set, Señor Garcia heads south under the tentacles. There is still nothing to indicate a camera or sensor of any sort. ]Everything else is quiet.

Justicar, not willing to leave anything to chance cracks the cabin door just enough to slip one of his External sensor whiskers to peek into the room to scan for visual confirmation the room is empty shifting through various optical scan IR, LI, UV, and his motion detector.

The Justicar's visual array is 360^deg... and though he does not physically look up he scans the ceiling and floor for any signs of occupancy.

If no one is spotted he will enter the cabin, shutting the door behind him and check the Head to make sure there are no occupants.

After setting the explosives, Senor Garcia swims up to the shroud surrounding the upper half of the submarines' hull. He then inspects the shroud, flipping through his goggles varisou vision modes.

Winter Herald continued his approach to the sound. He knew Chimp Man Z was here, and this meant there was a high chance the rest of the team was also here, although in what quantity or capacity was unknown to him. He briefly wondered if they had brought Smokh's people with them, but he was getting the impression this was not the case.

Slowly and steadily, at least for him, he advanced. For anyone else, his movements were uncanny.

No. The Maharaja indicated three something in that large room to Runa, Bellissima, and Winter Herald. JUSTICAR is hearing a conversation between two individuals in the large room to the south of that one.
[Secret to JUSTICAR: There is no one in the cabin or the head. Nothing adorns the walls and floor, there is a small duffel bag in one corner of the room, and tatami mats on the floor in lieu of furniture. Other than a few scraps of paper with non-sensical kanji on them, nothing in the room reveals any secrets.]
[Secret to Senor Garcia:It appears there is no heat differential between the submarine and the surrounding water, and the pervasive glow of the interior suggests there's no heat sources inside. There is, of course, a fair amount of wiring with currents running through them but all are of small value indicating the submarine is probably shut down.]

Bellissima nodded in acknowledgement toward Maharaja as he pointed down the hallway and then held up three fingers. She frowned as she looked down the corridor, it was going to be hard to sneak down the corridor without being detected.  There were four of them, including Winter Herald as she waved at the robot, to get its attention.  She got Runa's attention as well.

She reached out and touched the wall of the corridor and sent her awareness outward to see if she could connect to any technology within 5 feet of her.

She nodded at Maharaja and signed him to lead the way as she made sure that Runa was ready to move down the hallway as well.

Satisfied, Justicar leaves the cabin undisturbed and returns to the hallway.  Gesturing to Chimpman Z he points to the south room where the voices are coming from...

Justicar hugs the north side of the hallway... to stay out of sight of anyone in the northern chamber as he quietly edges along the wall to extend one of his external visual sensor whiskers to peek into the southern chamber to locate 'if possible' the source of the two voices...

[Secret to JUSTICAR: There are, in fact, two individuals discussing the relative merits of science versus magic. One of them is trying very hard to be the cinematic version of a mad scientist, white lab coat with sensible shoes and a stethoscope included. The other is dressed like a merchant marine. ]One of the figures in the large room to the north of JUSTICAR and Chimp Man Z suddenly shouts [Language unknown: Earortman ecare!]. Other exclamations indicate there are, in fact, three people in the room. Beyond their existence, no information concerning them comes to the fore.[Secret to JUSTICAR: The two in the room to the south leap to their feet (they were sitting at a table) and while the mad scientist starts tapping madly at his phone the merchant marine pulls a six foot quarterstaff from a pocket in his pea coat.]
