It isn't really early, just past nine in the morning, but there are already numerous busboys positioning and setting tables. Only LESP has arrived, the secret service aren't there, yet.
The detective suggests the team sit at the tables and go over their assignments.

The Day of the Convention, Hikari made sure that both Arnold/Captain Justice and Lilibeth/Runa had their Comic Convention costumes and accessories … delivering them personally if they had not contacted him or replied to his e-mail.

Coordinating with the Comic Convention Administrators, Hikari made sure a landing zone was cordoned off at the entrance to the Convention Center where the Comic fans would enter… and just before the Comic Convention portion of the event opened Hikari flew in … piloting the Justicar-Paladin over the heads of the comic fan crowd to land the 24’ft tall Mecha as a guest appearance... landing on its whining fan thrusters to strike a posse for the crowds.  All its weapons system were safety locked and its heavy ordinance unloaded for safety purposes.  Then Justicar-Polymer exited the mecha’s chest cavity to meet and greet with the comic fans and sign autographs.

The Paladin also bore a cargo… something Karl had whipped up from one of the now idle autofacs aboard the Sea Sentinel.  Much to Hikari’s shock … Toys!  Karl had run off diecast metal 2’ft tall robot figurines of the Justicar-Paladin with a similarly diecast metal ‘action-figure’ of the Justicar MKIII in the toy’s chest… both fully pose-able and combine-able.  Hikari smiled at his father’s creativity… though they were only a run of one thousand Karl had made; the fact he was so thoughtful and generous with his time was a surprise to Hikari. The first thousand Comic fans at the entrance would have a unique souvenir to remember the event!

But Hikari was not at the Comic Convention; he himself was on in his Justar combat costume near the entrance of the Conference Rally in fact he was sitting in one of the external monitoring Vans of the local Center City Police Security.. not with the Secret Service as they did not want his presence. Oddly, Hikari was wearing some wrap-around optical headband crown-like device and dividing his attention between watching the police van camera’s {not much}, and watching whatever was being displayed on his headband gadget.

In truth the device was a miniaturized version of his telemental helmet and he was directing and occasionally speaking through the head-mic from his Justicar-Polymer suit with the assistance of K3 the sophant A.I. onboard the battlesuit with the Fans at the Comic Convention.  He was having K3 do all the autographs while he spoke through the suit to the Comic convention fans and both took turns monitoring the deployed drones ~ Phobos and Deimos high above with their now enhanced sensor suites monitoring the proceedings, running facial recognition software and a dazzling array of directional mikes, sound samplers, and high-resolution optical and electronic image enhancers.  Hikari was effectively two places at once occasionally stepping outside the van to soak up some sunrays and fill his body with solar power… but made every attempt to make no displays of metahuman power and as best as possible stay out of sight and out of the way of the regular security.

It was hard staying attentive to the Conference Security when he knew most who were gathering for it were pushing bigoted hatred of his metahuman status.  Hopefully the Assassin would be NOT be spotted by his intentionally unwanted “help” and whatever went down would be someone else’s fault not his.  He really did not want to ponder what he would or could do with how tied his hands were to assist IF he actually spotted someone suspect or something suspicious.. likely any warning HE gave would be ignored anyways!

The detective spreads a map of the convention center on one of the tables, and explains, "This is how I think we'll be distributing LESP. In addition to those listed, each of the exits within the banquet area will have one of LESP's uniforms on it. Before anyone asks, Januchowski wanted to be in the communications van out front so, thankfully, he's not here."
"As you can see, the secret service wanted this rear exit as their own. As soon as their crew gets here, you can all familiarize yourself with their agents so you won't shoot any of them. This brings up another point. It is imperative that we don't discharge any weaponry towards any group of civilians. Any assassins that show up are to be captured alive unless it is the only means to prevent their escape. Those are orders from above, and I don't know why."

Broyko waits while people discuss the assignments and make their plans.

Justar regards the layout of the deployment plan with a shrug... "Are you sure you want ME, of all people, out front at the main entrance where everyone can see instead of off to the side and out of everyone's way?  The Senator's going to have to walk right by me there ~ unless he wants to 'sneak in through the secret service back entrance/exit?  Not a very 'Inspiring' look.  I set Justicar-Paladin and Justicar-Polymer at the Comic Fan's entrance as, sort of, an Obvious distraction."

Pointing out on the layout, "I'd like to have Drone-Phobos high-surveillance over the Secret Service's rear exit or at least at the back of the Convention center covering from there while Drone-Deimos flies a loose large figure-eight patrol patern over the top of the entire convention center lengthwise."

Then slowly draws his Stun Gun Blaster from the waist holster at the small of his back directing his question to Det. Broyko, "..is this also off the table?  It fires an invisible electrolaser beam... totally non-lethal, but effective in incapacitating targets.  Also.. I personally can control and induce static electrical fields in my surrounding to entangle clothing and hinder targets... its also mostly invisible.. and completely non-lethal.  My Static Electrical Control powers 'Can' disrupt electronics IF I will it so.. or inflict minuscule damage if I choose, but I am Fully in control of that intensity and area affected.  Can I use those abilities if needed?  Otherwise I'm reduced to punching folks and you got plenty of Police for that."
