Spymaster walks back to the elevator car. "First layer of security is physical. It's usually the most quiet, as well."
Climbing through the hatch, he places a few items on the cable connection before climbing down and leaving the elevator car. The car, itself, slowly settles below the floor. "Thermite on the cables, probably take them a day or two to fix. Worked the same in Bucharest last time I was there."
"If we need egress, we can climb the cables. The tram car is disabled as no one can access it, save for us."

Having quietly followed the action up to this point, Nick Temper speaks up as he looks down the tunnel. He was wise enough to whisper, but whisper he did, "this is above my pay grade, but Colonel Flagg tasked me with looking after the lady. Actually, he said to follow her and do whatever she needed me to do."

Paragon laughed merrily, "Well anything can be a deep proposition. Are you wide enough to handle me?" She winked. Then go serious. "Tell you what, being near me is the best place you can be because the Universe loves me. Like seriously, my whole life things just fall into place. So keep near me and cover my backside." She giggled again as this double entendre was unintended.

"Till then, I got your back."

With the tram car essentially denied to the enemy, the heroes slink down the tram tunnel. Although there is a slight descent, the tunnel is otherwise very straight. Although they're very quiet, when the CAN see the platform at the end of the track, there are two individuals on it. The behemoth that looks to be six feet tall and four feet wide keeps looking down the track and making some sort of noise. The other individual is terribly thin, with membranous wings and a face like a grasshopper. The bug man is looking down the tracks in your direction.

Senor Garcia didn't say anything to Paragon right away. Instead, he switches to the Mk 20 SSR slung across his back, deploys the sniper rifles tripod and gets into the prone position before sighting in to get a good look at the two what are obviously meta humans on the platform.

At this range, and with no wind in the tunnel making a headshot would be pretty easy. Nevertheless, he activated the ranging laser to get the distance to target, focusing on the meta human with wings and a grasshopper face, but also getting a good look at the big one to determine if he recognized either of them from US Govt' intelligence reports, or LESP files of known meta humans

22:34, Today: Senor Garcia rolled 57 using 1d100 with rolls of 57.  optic systems 110% (laser range find).
PASS, I should know the exact range to grasshopper guys head

22:38, Today: Senor Garcia rolled 53 using 1d100 with rolls of 53.  Military Intelligence 101%
PASS, Any known intel on meta humans fitting these descriptions?

Senor Garcia whispers to the others. "Grasshopper guy is Cicada a known felon, and expert in hand to hand combat. Big dude is Bull, he can throw school busses with ease and hates the color red."

"Grasshopper knows something's up. Taking a head shot in three...two...one."
With each word Senor Garcia slowly exhaled until his lungs were empty and he simultaneously slowly squeezes the trigger of the Mk 20 SSR.

Cicada becomes more and more agitated till Señor Garcia takes the shot. Several times, he spasmodically jerks his head to one side or the other in apparent attempts at dodging the bullet. It's all to no avail as Señor Garcia makes a sound akin to a balloon being popped under a quilt. Cicada jerks a bit sideways as the bullet glances off his chitinous covering and impacts the tunnel wall behind him.
Staring down the tunnel, Cicada hisses and splutters. Bull chuckles and mumbles "bug man stupid funny", but makes no other move. Cicada takes off and begins to fly down the tunnel, and Bull shrugs and begins to lumber after him. The insect man has to fly carefully as his wings barely fit into the tunnel

Once they are within range Paragon will use slow-mo on the two bad guys. She puts the rifle into a stowed position and draws a pair of Chinese fighting daggers.

Limbering his staff, Spymaster says, "hand to hand expert? That means he's mine. If that's the Bull from the files, he's slow in more ways than one, tough but not invulnerable, and able to punch through the engine block of your average automobile. Don't let him hit you."
Stepping forward, Spymaster calls to Cicada, "c'mon bug man! Is that the fastest you can go?"
With Cicada's attention on him, Spymaster attempts some sort of feint.

OOC: Chi Zoshiki on the bug, let him try to hit what he can't see.

Señor Garcia's second shot at Cicada fairs much like his first, glancing off the creature's chitinous shell. The burst fired at Bull, however, strikes home. Bull takes two more steps forward after the rounds strike, roars "OWWWW", and plucks at the hair on his chest a moment or two before extracting the the bullets. In the process, he sees his own blood.
With another roar, this one more guttural and less surprised, he slams his fist into the wall of the tunnel then rakes it forward. The resultant broken block of reinforced concrete flies down the tunnel past Cicada and bounces to a stop. It's about the size of a toaster oven and constitutes about 200 pounds of material. Cicada looks at the block, looks back at Bull, makes a sound like someone just kicked him hard in his third knee and accelerates completely past the waiting heroes and down the tunnel. As he passes the heroes they can estimate he's traveling at about one hundred miles per hour.
Bull pays no attention to Cicada, or anything else. Continuing to lumber down the tunnel, slightly slower than before, Bull approaches the heroes.

Senor Garcia calmly remained in the prone position as Bull charged towards him and continued to fire double taps at the large meta human, aiming for center mass. After firing four sets of double taps, he rolls away from the gun and gets up in anticipation of the large meta human reaching him.

As he lumbers down the tunnel, Bull starts to sing, badly, "when mister eraser comes
then what you've drawn is done
'cause I am mister eraser!"

He's finished the first line of his song as Señor Garcia's first burst strikes him. Surprise from the armor piercing rounds actually defeating his thick, tough skin causes him to stumble, wrenching his right leg. Turning sideways, he rips a chunk of concrete from the wall. As he's doing this Señor Garcia's second burst glances off Bull's back. Bull tries to get the concrete in the way of Señor Garcia's third burst, but fails. This time he stumbles the other way, and wrenches his left leg.
He begins to hobble instead of lumber and with a roar heaves his three-hundred pound chunk of concrete at Paragon. The concrete bounces off the tunnel ceiling and breaks into two pieces. The pieces fly apart and pass on either side of Paragon.
As Bull tries to move forward, his legs give out and he drops to his knees. Just in time for Señor Garcia's fourth burst to strike the top of Bull's head. Even the armor piercing rounds can't find their way through Bull's skull, but their impact carries enough energy to complete the process. Bull drops face down and lays still. He pants, blowing out through his lips like a horse that had more of a run than it needed.

Glancing at Garcia she said, "I believe Sun-Tzu said 'the best victory is the one won without fighting,' or something like that."

Senor Garcia doesn't respond to Paragon as he walks towards the still breathing Bull. When he gets about six feet away, he draws his pistol and continues forward another three feet before pointing the pistol at the back top of Bull's head and fires two rounds at near point-blank range. Just to be sure he fires two additional rounds in the back top of Bull's head. Satisfied that Bull is no longer breathing he holsters his pistol before turning around.

Seeing that it's clear Cicada is going to get away he walks over to his sniper rifle and retrieves it.

"Let's keep going but keep an eye on our six in case Cicada comes back."

Nodding at Señor Garcia, Spymaster says, "those last four rounds might have been wasted, but I wouldn't bet on it. From what I read, we would've had no way to restrain him. That's how he got out after he was brought down the first time. His cell door was titanium steel, and so were the bars on the windows. He went through the prison wall."
"There was some confusion as to how he got through the gates. Some said the gates were open because a bus with new prisoners was arriving, others say they were closed till Bull picked up the bus with the prisoners and slammed it through the gates."
"I'll scout ahead, no one sees me unless I allow it."

Spymaster moves on down the tunnel.

Upon retrieving his Mk 20 SSR sniper/battle rifle, Senor Garcia removes the partially spent magazine and inserts a fresh magazine. He doesn't respond to Spymaster, who he knew was just trying to justify what was essentially the execution of Bull in case Paragon or possibly Nick Temper disapproved of the act. Of course, Spymaster of all people knew that Senor Garcia didn't take any chances with hostile meta humans.

Slinging the Mk 20 SSR sniper/battle rifle Senor Garcia looks at Nick. "Can you watch our six O'clock in case Cicada comes back?"
