The House of Melting Wax
At the sound of hearing its name Pawn lifted its giant eyeball and stared at what looked one of the bird-like creatures that spoke to it. Token was sure that it had never spoken to one of those creatures before. It was curious as to how this creature knew its name. Were these creatures omniscient?

Token nodded it and acknowledged the creature. "Why yes it is me Token. I have this form so that I my reside in this domain. I didn't seem like much would happen here besides talking so I created a form that would fulfill that purpose. Nothing more and nothing less. An eye to see and my energy so that I may converse with the others here. I call this form Pawn but you may still refer to it as Token" Being afraid of offending another person, Token refrained from asking the creature how it knew who it was. Token felt like it had heard its voice before though.

Turning to one of the other Beings that spoke in the room, Token spoke, "Hello. I am the one they call Token. I have seen your creations and I do say I find them fascinating but one thing does bug me. You say you are a Being of purpose like me but I do not fully understand your purpose. Your moon as you call it is a great creation. It lights up the sky when it is dark and it seems to control the waves as well. What I am curious about is the shape though? I am curious as to the purpose of the shape. It is completely different than the circular stars in the sky and the extra twists and turns seem to just be there for..."</Gray>

At that moment Token realized where he had heard the voice before. "OHHHHH Avelin is that you!? It seems you that you have finally taken a form. Sorry I did not recognize you earlier with all of your feathers, I might add it is an interesting form indeed."

Noticing that Token had abandoned ANOTHER conversation just as it started Token felt extremely guilty. The energy withing Pawn's eye turned purple from Token's guilt and it turned towards the god of love. "I greatly apologize for that! I am not the best at interacting with others. I would like to redo that again if you would allow me to. Pawn straightened up and the color of its energy turned to blue. "Hello I am the one they call Token. I have seen your creations and they truly are fascinating. But I am curious though. What is the purpose of the shape of your moon?"

If I created it I wasn't awake for me to realize it, but if I could hazard a guess it would probably be to tell me my purpose in a way I could see forever. It was what caused me to pursue that after all. I have only consciously created the asteroid belts and Hugo. Vronir replied. He wasn't exactly going to lie about anything after all.

Abraoigi curious about the being called Token extended a large tentacle approaches Pawn and lightly taps upon it. Examining it. Abraoigi also extended a tentacle towards Vronir stopping only about five centimeters away from Vronir's form the tentacle began to waggle and shake. After considerable shaking an eyeball appeared upon its tip and it examined Vronir's conjured form up and down from in front and from behind. Then it receded disappearing and an eyeball appeared on the tentacle tapping Pawn which did the same. Then stared directly into Pawn's eye before receding once more.

"You both speak of purpose, have you one then? What is it? Do you need it to survive? Avelin do you as well?

I believe purpose is more of an internal drive. You might hate it. You might wish someone else did it but, it's what drives you to move and live. As gods our purpose cause greater change than any other. But that means we need to truly realize our purpose even more. I believe mine is to expand and fill space and make love happen between people. Vronir replied. He was sure that what he said was true.

Upon hearing Abraoigi's question Pawn perked up. "Why yes I do have a purpose. From the moment I could think it felt like I had one simple thought. This thought feels ancient though as if it existed before me if that is even possible. This thought has been the reason behind all my actions, all my creations and all of my ideas. I yearn to learn EVERYTHING about the living organisms in this world and the next. Everything from how the function to how they react in any and every situation. My favorite thing though are mutations. It is such a fascinating thing is it not. That creatures can change, and grow to adapt to their surroundings without their knowledge. Hybrids are also another one of my passions. The combination of two different species and yet they perfectly mingle with each other to sustain a LIVING CREATURE! I can relate Vronir. I too want to fill the world with love. Love is an interesting emotion that is 100% unpredictable. Many new creature can also come from love. But unlike Vronir I do not wish to fill the world with just love. I wish too fill it with happiness, passion, death, sorrow, anger, hate, envy, sloth, sadness, freedom, restraint and much more. I want, need, and have to know. No matter what the cost or sacrifice I must know. You asked me if I have a purpose and for this question I answer yes. My one purpose in life is to experiment and learn." With this final sentence Pawn's energy turned reddish orange due to all of its passion.

In reply to Token (msg # 15):

Abraoigi's being in the swamp and being in the house of melted wax speak simultaneously with it's being in the swamp examining Noric as it did to those in the house of the melted wax earlier.

"You are all quite strange to me. This obsession with purpose. I am what I am and I do what I do. Why is there a need for more than this in things? Then again, why must there be a need for things at all?

Abraoigi's being in the house spoke further to the Gods within the house.

"Another creature who is like we has searched out my other self. That self is bringing him here to speak. The creature wishes to know of the thing that cursed the swifts and the lacerta. It seeks an audience with you Vronir. The creature calls itself Noric."

As Noric entered, the building had the feel of a conversation that had been taken place, but it felt as if Noric had entered on a long pause... as if they were expecting him. Well, perhaps they were, especially since a somewhat smaller version of Abraoigi was already there. Noric checked-- yes, he could communicate with his "real" self...

Noric decided to lead with a version of his introduction to Abraoigi. "I greet you," he said to them. "I am Noric, creator of the stars... and of the great forest, for I am also a god of abundance and of growing things... and I am god of the people who live up amongst the skytrees. It is because of them that I have come here, for I have questions. First, I would like to meet the creator of the lacerta, if he, she, or it be here..."

At the mention of Lacerta, Pawn's body stood up straight with curiosity. Seeing another Being Token saw the chance to introduce itself once more. Things always seemed to go off track when Token talked to much so this time it would keep this introduction short and simple. "It is I who created the Lacerta. They call me Token. Who might you be?"

In reply to Token (msg # 18):

Noric felt confused. Who might he be?!? Perhaps this new demigod was deaf? Noric carefully faced this Token and moved his lips slowly and carefully, repeating his words from moments before. "I am Noric, creator of the stars... and of the great forest... for I am also a god of abundance and of growing things... and I am god of the people who live up amongst the skytrees... It is because of them that I have come here. A curse was placed on my people, the swifts, causing them to lose their feathers and wings and flight, until I unmade the curse. It was also placed on some of your lacerta, causing them to lose their scales, and in some cases grow legs...  Do you know anything about the curse... 'Token'? Do you know who caused it to happen?" That long speech finally over, Noric turned to the others assembled. "Does anyone here know who cursed my people?"

As he waited a brief moment for an answer, Noric's eyes passed over the others... and then did a double-take, resting on... one who was in the form of a swift?!? What...? Noric had not noticed him at first, in the dim light... no, it was another god, but... Noric almost asked what the point of the other god wearing that form was, but he didn't want to interrupt his primary purpose for entering the building... the answer to that could wait a little longer...

Token feeling embarrassed turned a bit pink for making the Being known as Noric repeat itself. Before it could apologize for ruining another introduction, Token heard Noric ask the others a question. "I know nothing of a curse but I have seen a blessing bestowed upon my Lacerta. One that has created an interesting new species. It seems that your 'swifts' which I assume are your bird creatures have been given the same blessing. Unfortunately it seems something has stripped them away from this privilege."

In reply to Token (msg # 21):

So Token not only was not the source of the Fatherless curse (and didn't know who was), he approved of it. Noric managed not to roll his eyes.

"You have a right to your perspective," said Noric, "especially as it regards your own creations... as do I toward anything that involves mine." Noric looked at the others in the building. "On to my other question. Who here knows who caused the swifts and the lacerta to become The Fatherless?"

His eyes came to rest, once again, upon the god who was in the form of a swift. Noric especially wanted to hear what that worthy would have to say.

"Oh, that was me." Avelin replied mildly, scratching at his feathery hide. The thing was always so itchy. "The lacerta just seemed so limited, stuck in the swamps and drying out if they ventured too far off. And the swifts had all those feathers. I thought I would spare some of them the constant molting and itching. The new people are far less messy with their smooth skins."

In reply to Avelin (msg # 23):

"Do you not like birds?" Noric said to Avelin. "Then why are you wearing feathers and a beak?"

Noric diverted water from one of the fountains, and the water began to fill a narrow shape in front of Noric, about four feet high. "I like birds," said Noric. "This is a bird I have seen in Abrioigi's swamp." The narrow shape began to solidify, and change color to silver, almost as if it was made of mercury, though it was not. The thing was an egret or heron, more or less life-size. "A beautiful creature," Noric continued, and then the other demigods witnessed Noric pour a truly astounding amount of divine power into his creation, a silver light streaming from Noric into the new metallic form of the water bird.

It took less than a minute. When Noric was done, he whistled a single note, and the silver bird flapped up onto his right wrist, and perched there. Then Noric flipped his wrist and hand, and grabbed the bird by its ankles, just above the feet, and gave it a sharp shake, and it went completely straight, forming a single straight form. Only the feathers above the ankles flared out a bit. "Is it not a fine weapon?" asked Noric, pointing it in Avelin's direction. The beak was extremely pointed, but it looked sharp on the sides, for slashing, as well, if need be. "I shall call it Regret."

Even though Noric was standing 20 feet away from Avelin, the sense of potential danger he offered was palpable. "Do not curse the swifts again," Noric said to Avelin. "Regret may overwhelm you if you do so a third time."

Then Noric gave Regret another small shake, and the straight form curled back and spiraled around his right forearm, as a sort of bracer. Then, without another word, Noric left the House of Melting Wax, and merged with his other self, which continued to wear Regret. He went to find Abrioigi's true self.

Created Regret, a combat artifact. Regret has an intelligence of its own (although it cannot speak nor make noise), does not sleep, cannot be charmed in any way, and can see through illusions. Regret is unbreakable, and is resistant to all magic, including divine power-- it would take great effort to affect Regret, although it could theoretically be refocused into a utility artifact by Noric for the usual ap fee (but only by Noric). As seen, Regret may be used as a divine weapon, or can spiral itself into being worn as a sort of bracer.

Abraoigi's second form grabbed each of the deities that were present in the house save for Noric with it's tentacles and stared menacingly at each of them.

"I do not know who, nor do I care tampered with my souls. Know this though: If you tamper with my souls or my creations ever again. I will destroy everything you have ever created and I shall rip each of your forms asunder into new ones only to destroy and torment each new form you take. Do not cross me again."

Of course, all who have enetered has a part of themselves stuck inside stuck inside. Though some of us have become quiet almost to point of death. I honestly think that there is little reason to do anything besides wait and lie low as I believe the God's who truly want to talk just do it in their normal bodies.By the way I am Vronir by the way. We knew you guy's existed. We had verbal records of it happening and it was fact just like the trees and the bees.  I was a fatherless a result of your race being altered by another. So did we think you excited no we knew it. There is no such thing as belief but fact remains unchanged. He said honestly and matter of factly.
