Mad Scientist (not the insane kind) who combined some interesting anti-matter and radiation together to make himself turn into a bit of the night sky. Also really strong and resilient.

I guess I'm just a really smart, really really fast, lowly truck driver with guns, if we're getting all extra descriptive. ;)

GM: You just asked me to change my physical beauty attribute to be higher, select a different portrait, and then you posted that I just got out of boarding school and am going home to visit my parents.

In my character application, I'm in my 20s, I run/manage a large business in Canada, and I'm, according to my rolls, uglier than sin.

I think you've mixed me up with somebody else's character...? I won't post until we get it all cleared up, just to be safe.

Umm... that doesn't help much...?

I'm trying to figure out if you meant that post for somebody else, or if you want me to play an entirely different character altogether than what I'd applied with and created. You've just gotta let me know what I'm supposed to do, so I can do it.

Guess Im up eh?

So the idea here is to get all you guys together cooperating on solving a tough deleihma where as you may get the attention of some other factions depending on your actions.  The three military personnel are being ordered into action and the others just happen to be in the area or are doing their own story line.  Everyone (even the military personnel) may do as you see fit.  I'm sending Harbringer and Bobcat on their own little scenario and Starfall is making some startling discoveries.

I would like to take an opportunity to explain my style a bit.  I'm a story-telling DM/GM who likes using vivid description and invoke good imagined visuals and scenes that could be part of a movie or story.  My weaknesses are my knowledge of all the rules and using a lot of minute details.  I am not a military guy, but I try and give each military NPC their own persona and attitudes toward stuff based on their alignments.  I see alignments as guidelines which should only be enforced if a character is going too far from their chosen alignment too regularly.  Good people do some shady stuff sometimes.  Some good people like to think they're evil, maybe an adolescent or someone with a inner appreciation for darkness yet has a good moral set and empathy for other people.  Like if you're Principled good or Lawful Good in DnD, you gon't have to be a cookie cutter goody goody two shoes with no tolerance for erratic behavior or evilness.  Judges, Police Chiefs, many law abiding, government friendly citizens are  lawful good or principled, but they all don't have the same personality. One's a mother of three, another is a doctor.  Even paladins or demi-gods or whatever each have their own distinct personalities.

I've just had player in DnD get confused or too focused on abhearing to their alignment.

Anyways that was out of no where.  I just wanted to say I have a lot of experiance at Dming DnD and only a little with this game.  I have a grand story idea for a new band of superheros and I wanted to give it a go on here.  If you guys help along the way with rules and such that'd be great.  Hope you all don't mind April O'Neil making an appearance.  The Ninja Turtles and Splinter are around.  But this is a bit over their head.  This is a tough encounter.  This is where people will really need to use their special abilities to over come an enemy that is willing to blow themselves up at any moment.  All of the children are in the gymnasium with at least one terrorist rigged with explosives.  Transport to the scene may also be an issue unless you can fly or have a truck like Rapier.

Starfall you are heading to the source of the thingie... you're on your little side quest as well.

And ok Sara I'm sorry I've been picturing your character a bit different. You are this freaky looking bug-eyed chick with un proportionate lips and wig-like hair just from British Columbia Canada.  Three years ago shortly after the Nuclear war, America Annexed British Columbia and Alberta for resources and strategic military defense of the Pacific coast.  You can say you are fleeing into Eastern Canada as a refugee or that you still live in what is known as New Columbia USA and have duo citizenship.  Up to you.

Ready to continue when you are.

One of my most enjoyable games was in the Shadowrun setting. Three players, of which I was one, and a GM who didn't know a single rule in the book. Over the first several months he figured out a good bit of stuff, but when it came down to it, the story was what he wanted and he would ask the players the 'how do I make this happen'. It got us all into telling the story, instead of just 'reacting' to events.

If you need help with the rules, let me (us) know , and we will help you.

They've all been very helpful with the rules... I'm sure they can help you further!

But also, that didn't really answer my question, when I re-read the game thread, it says I'm a boarding school kid, who lives with her parents, and that I need to change what I look like?

I mean, I'll be upfront: I rolled like shit, on literally EVERY single stat. Feel free to change them around freely, and do whatever you want with them. There is NOTHING at all that I love or care about with this character... literally zero. So you can recreate whatever you want with 'her'. I'm just working within the parameters of what I was given/what I rolled. Its just really confusing when you're not super direct with me about what you want from me.

If you want to recreate me as some child who lives with her parents, no problem. Go ahead and tell me how you want me to do exactly that, and I'll do it. If you want me to not be hideous as fuck, go ahead and change that too... I don't really care. I just need to know with plenty of time to adjust WHEN you're going to be completely changing my character to something that I did NOT create. Because a boarding school kid living with her parents I didn't even apply to the game with, much less create once I rolled like shit.

What I rolled to match my "single girl living alone, and working her ass off in business as a marketing manager" literally doesn't match it. NO marketing manager has a 5 in PB, because they'd fail and be fired. But that's what I rolled. The HIGHEST stat I rolled was a 13, with an average stat of around 8.7? EVEN after I add all of my skill bonuses, my mutant bonuses, and everything else, my stat average is like 10.2, lol. So I had to 'adjust' my concept a bit, and I went with a hideous creature that plays on their horror aspect. Her background still makes no sense (because I don't really care about it at all), and that's why I don't care what you change, but you NEED to let me know exactly what you want. If you want "superhero material", its literally impossible with my character's stats, but if you just want "Please don't be gross and become a child" then I need you to say that, so its clear to me what I can do to help.

TL/DR: You're clearly not happy with my concept, so if YOU want me playing something entirely 100% different from my concept, then you need to create it, or explain what you want from me so I know.

I appologize for trump's behavior.  He's a womaning pig and a moron so I'm trying to put both of those into his character. Oh and a megalomaniac.  Narcissist. lol  i honestly think that's a way he would react in that situation.  Plus he has declared martial law after the nuclear attacks 2 years prior.  So he acts like a dictator which suits him.

Seems to me that most RPers are not supporters of him.  Maybe it has to do with us being able to put ourselves into the shoes of so many diverse characters.  Which would also explain why most actors don't seem to be fans of his, either.

Personally, I think most rp'ers are used to recognizing things by their actions, as most of the time this sort of detachment from appearance is necessary to play the game. Thus, we recognise the man for what he is, and wish this was the anniversarry of one of his visits to his downtown properties.

I'm neither particularly a supporter nor detractor of Trump, but I also see that as irrelevant in this context. This is a near-future fantasy/sci-fi game, therefore Trump, post nuclear war and taking dictatorial powers could be entirely different from what he is or is not now. Furthermore, the scene didn't really get that much into politics; most his behavior was brashly domineering (which one would expect from any dictator) and overtly male chauvinistic, which, whether you support him or not, is behavior he (much like Bill Clinton, in fact) has publicly displayed.

That said, I generally like to avoid RL politics in games because it is generally a very polarizing topic.

As I implied, though, in game politics has little to do with RL politics; if, for some reason, in game Trump were a rampant child molester, even if it is because that is how the GM thinks of him IRL, I don't have to associate that with RL Trump. In the end, it is a game, after all.
