In reply to Nefertiti (msg # 47):

Yep, and if you have another skill that you think you could use somehow I am ok.  (EX: alertness, seeing the thing out of the corner of your eye.)  The difficulty might go up though, depending on how much you are trying to fit something that just doesn't fit.  (like subterfuge, fool the bullet you are not there - will have a very high difficulty)

I am unlikely to post today because windows were replaced in my home and it caused a major dust storm which triggered my dust allergy pretty hard. :(

It is about 4:10 AM.  The sun rises about 7:30 this time of year.  Walking back would take about an hour.  A drive only about 15-20 mins.

July 4th

For those of us in the states, tomorrow if our independence day.  I will likely not be online.

Also, if anyone is interested, feel free to share some info about yourself.  (no pressure at all)/

Your Storyteller is Ron.  I live in the US, in Massachusetts on the east coast.  I have been playing vampire since first edition, but it hasn't been a main game of mine.  I mostly run Pathfinder (DnD before that).  Been a GM for over 30 years with a dedicated group until recently.
This vampire campaign is one I started locally with my players on one of our breaks from our main game.  I really don't know a lot of the lore, and never followed the books, new editions, etc.  I just happened to like the thought of New Orleans with all the history (Though I use google for that) and the opportunity for the supernatural there.  It seems rife for all kinds of spooky things.

July 4th

Happy 4th of July. :)

I'm 26, I'm living in Sweden but I'm originally from a little country called Lithuania on the Baltic Coast. I have played most iterations of DnD, Shadowrun and Vampire over the years, including a few weeks of Werewolf in which I played Snake Plissken as a werewolf.

I like to follow lore, history have a font of weird knowledge and yet very rarely  play bookworms. Maybe I should!

July 4th

41 a couple of days ago.  Canadian, of Arabic and French decent, with a Latina for a wife, so I'm pretty multilingual, which is nice in a New Orleans setting.

I play some D&D, but not past pathfinder, as I never bothered to invest in buying the newer editions due to 4 being so awful.  Love the Birthright setting of D&D.  I like the 40k line of RP games from Final Fantasy, as well as a lot of their other products.  A great unknown gem of a RP game is Kult, if you like horror, angles and demons, and the decent into madness.  I can't wait for the new Cyberpunk rpg, and video game.

July 4th

My name is David, I am 45 soon to be 46 years young. My Parents were from Portugal, but I am from Massachusetts, and have played on and off with Ron's Group for over 30 years or so (including the original New Orleans Vampire game).  I have Gm'd and played a large number of Table top RPG games mostly D&D (3rd, and 5e being my favorites), Pathfinder (another favorite).   I have won a regional Iron GM competition, and have even ventured into publishing super hero modules.   In my personal life I have 3 children including twin boys.

Very cool.  Dave and I have played a bunch of cyberpunk.  We have both played with the creator of the game Mike Pondsmith and chatted with him and his son.  Dave knows him a bit better than I do.  Very cool guy and pretty good GM.  His son created the Witcher RPG which is awesome and is a great GM himself.

Re: July 4th

Greetings, my name is Edmund and I have been roleplaying for 40 years. I got started with D&D blue book through my cousin and been playing ever since. Use to LARP Vampire in Jacksonville and tend to play Nosferatu. (In Jax we had 30' cockroach named "Matilda" that took care of the empties)

I live SW of Gainesville, Fl and mostly play Pathfinder when I get a chance, but also board game.

As a heads up I will be mostly unavailable 07/17 to 07/21 as I am taking an SCA Camping trip. I might be able to check in randomly during that time.

That sounds really cool.  I've seen interviews with him, and he sounds like a person that puts a lot of thought into his game.

In University, a friend of mine created a Cyberpunk LARP, and we had a great time with it, with the LARP constantly bring in some 30 players for 3 years straight, every other weekend.  Always thought he should have tried to send it off to Mike Pondsmith to see if he would be interested in selling it.  The idea is the game took place in some dive, in this case in NeoTO (Toronto's nick name).

I've never seen the Witcher RPG.  I'll have to check it out.

In reply to Katherine Dashkovari (msg # 69):

Sorry this is some of the stuff I am a bit new at.  I was waiting for a few more people to tell me they are set for the night, before I describe the next night.  However, if you want to retire for the day and head out, drop a message in the "new thread" post and just say what you want to do.  (You can make it a private line if you want just me to know or even a PM.)  Then I will open a new thread for you.

How about some suggestions?  Should I keep some threads open for locations and then people can use private lines for private actions/conversations or would you rather have every scene be a new thread?  If so how should I name them.  Date and locations?  People, something else?
