Re: Holy Name of Jesus Church

Jean de Griss:
Jean cocked an eyebrow as the figure approached. "It has been a while but if you wish to fight with swords, I will need to borrow one." he said.

Seeing that the foe was not interested in talking, Jean showed the hooded figure that he was not going to be an easy target. "Yours will work." he said as he quickly showed his fighting experience.

Not sure, maybe with that number of successes, I just took the sword from him.
22:42, Today: Jean de Griss rolled 7 successes using 8d10 with the World of Darkness 2nd ed, Specialised system with a target of 6, rerolling 10s ((5,4,10(+8),6,5,10(+9),9,7))
(Show off moves Manipulation* + Brawl (*Cunning & Grapple)) pg 82

Jeans impulsive move startles the figure, and as Jean run at him he stop, standing defensively.  As Jean gets closer the figure's stance changes, unsure.  Jean get within inches, and can see the mans face who's look is not one of anger or confidence but confusion.  As soon as Jean turn and grabs the sword hilt, there is a flash of light, and the nosferatu is thrown back away form the man, at least ten feet, his hand smelling of burn flesh.  The man looks just as confused as jean as to what just happened.  The sword lies on the ground, it's glw form the hilt fading in the moonlight.

"What are you?" He asks.

Jean take one point of aggravated damage.

As stealthily as he can, Suel moves until he is behind the figure... not right next to him, but in an excellent position to attack from behind, if need be.

Jean looked at his bruised hand and then at the foe. "[Language unknown: Po Nc ta ispe Eiivmean ssis ure prwa utwete. Thu ble Tio tio al.]" Jean said in Latin as he launched himself at the figure, confident that he will not need to hunt the rest of the night...

Re: Holy Name of Jesus Church

<Goldenron>Just a remionder we are using alternate combat role for RPOL so that way combat doesn't take days.  I have rating for you you and sul already.  Please let me know how you are approchign this fight, and blood you are spending ahead of time on attributes or powers, and then please roll 3d10.  We'll see what the outcome is, and either you or I can describe the fight.</Goldenrod>

The mans hood drops, and there is no sign he is any supernatural, but Sule notices that he seems to have some sense of Suel's location, even if he can not see him directly.  He turn sideways stepping closer to his dropped sword, and making sure both of you are in his field of vision.  He crouches low, set's his feet apart in a martial arts style stance, standing his hand in front of him as Jean makes his move.

Feeling his blood boil, Jean's muscles started to bulge and become more nimble in preparation for the upcoming fight.

Use two from my blood pool to increase strength and 1 for dexterity.
20:15, Today: Jean de Griss rolled 12 using 3d10 with rolls of 6,4,2.  Battle +2 str/+1 Dex.

Suel takes a quick look around.  Is there some large size object he can pick up and hurl at their foe?

Yes in fact there re several barrels near this side of the church as you are making your around the two of them widely.  If you are only going to throw something, then you only need to roll once.

Re: Holy Name of Jesus Church

OK Thanks.  The combat will go three stages.  The first Jean wins hands down and will get the person and drain some blood. (roll d 10 for blood points) Jean would you like to post the description of this part of the fight?

The second part he manages to get away from Jean, and grab is sword moving to the attack.  He won this section and attacks jean doing some damage, (3 wounds) but before he can do more damage Suel's barrel hits him breaking him away.  Suel, do you want to describe this section?

Last, he also rolled low but beat you, Being wounded from the bit and the barrel, He uses this time to grab his sword and get away but not without leaving behind a clue as to who he might be.  I can write the follow up.  You guys ok with that?

Moving quickly, Jean launched himself at the foe. He latched his fangs, but was not able to get a good bite in his neck. The fresh blood felt good but had not sated his thirst after the busy day he had in the last 24 hours.

Re: Holy Name of Jesus Church

With a desperate groan, the hooded warrior drove the palm of his right hand into Jean’s chin, and followed it up with a rear kick to the solar plexus, driving him back.  Jean sneered, blood still dripping from his fangs, as the martial artist reached gracefully for his sword.  Moving like the wind, he slashed the vampire three times before a barrel collided with his head.  He tried to shake off the fog as he turned in disbelief.  Another fiend!

Re: Holy Name of Jesus Church

The man looks from Jean, who seems to be recovering rapidly from where he was cut with the sword, to Suel, who has tossed the full barrel as easily as if it had been a softball and realized he was in trouble. He lifted his sword high and charged at Jean saying something in what sounded like arabic.  Jean easily dodges the blow with his pumped up reflexes, but has only enough time to strike at th mn, hitting him in the back.  Jean can hear the crunch of ones, as the man topples, but turns that momentum into a forward roll and runs straight out into the street.  As he does you hear the tires of car screech and some screaming form inside the car.  Trying to follow the man would reveal the kindred to the people on the street, something that must be avoided at all costs.
Jean's hand throbed, and when he looked down at it, he noticed a symbol burned into the the palm of his hand.  It looks like a tower with two moons over it.  It must have been carved into the handle of the sword.

"Lets quickly get out of here." Jean said, wrapping his hand with a handkerchief. "We will need to report this and see if there is anyone that knows of this group before they lay waste to us. You know how to use this camera on the cell phone that Christian mentioned? It would be much easier to for you to show someone that screen thing rather than me having to show my hand all over the place." he added.
