The Great Rock

The wind is strong enough that the surf is hitting the beach in small rolling white waves.  Nothing like that which could be found on the West coast, but much more active that the normally placid rising and falling of the water.  The great rock, isn't really that Great when it comes to size.  It is large enough to have to climb up thought and the top is flat enough to stand on.  It is also in the middle of the sand bar that makes up the beach. allowing people to gather to all side.  It is a good place to talk to a crowd of people and perfect for a gangrel moot.

The Great Rock - 10/14

In reply to Storyteller (msg # 1):

Tonight the mood is somber and the crowd is small.  There is no one standing on the Great Rock.  That is used for storytelling or announcements to large gatherings.  Instead a small groups of people stand by the water, a body lying on the sand before them.   Kimmy stand with her arm around George.  Jesse kneels close to Davon's Body.  Standing back away form the group, close enough to hear but not close enough to be a part of the group is Uncle Larell and Angle by his side.

As Joe pulls into the parking lot he and Lexi can see the strange lot gathered on the beach.  They are hidden form the road by the trees but here form the parking lot, he can make out Uncle and Angel.  The cricket are chirping loudly and the sweet sickly smell of the water fill the air.  Jessie's body seems to convulse slightly form time to time, but as you can only see her back you are not sure why.

The Great Rock - 10/14

Lexi looked at the gathering, her own eyes downcast for the moment. The cheer she carried on the way here seems to be gone, she mumbled under her breath - "Best not forget - I did lose a friend tonight. Maybe not a brother like they did, but still a friend."

Once they were there, she got out of the car, leaning on the roof. "Thanks for the lift, Joe. Seems like the boss is here too, so I guess if you want to come it's allowed too - in case you want to say bye."

The Great Rock - 10/14

In reply to Lexi Thompson (msg # 3):

"I didn't really know Davon," said Joe quietly, "but he deserved better than this." He quietly walked over to Uncle and Angel, while carefully listening to what was going on. He also, to the extent possible, made a point of walking out of Jessie's line of sight.
