Vazaz

Vazaz became the most wealthy and powerful city on the southern coat of Nezrak's continent by betraying Yoolmai  during the revolt 200 years ago and sending its fleet to blockade Yoolmai and cut it off from the Free Isles which were supporting the revolt.
The handsome docks of its port are crowded with shipping, slavers from Krenomd and Garibo with their miserable wares, round-bellied grain ships to be filled with the harvests of the surrounding latifundia, merchants trading in the silk, glass and other fine goods produced by the artisans of Vazaz itself, and many more.
Near the docks are great warehouses for goods and pens for slaves, as well as auction rooms where anything can be sold. There are also taverns catering to the common sailors and finer inns for the sea-captains and merchants, whose mansions lie further inland along the broad avenues leading to the wide piazza dominated by the Citadel held by Nezrak's half-orc guards, the Palace of the Tyrant ruling in his name, and the sinister Temple of Yervaar from whose altar arises a dark, roiling smoke of unending unspeakable sacrifices.
In a separate quarter are the "Ratholes" as the humans of Vazaz contemptuously call the halflings who continue to live there. Some make a precarious living as tavern keepers (they still retain a reputation for excellent food and drink) and entertainers; others are thieves, beggars, or secret smugglers and rebels. Despite their open contempt for the "rats" even the half-orcs only dare go there in strong patrols, especially at night.
