Reaction Round 1:

Though Octavian isn’t as smooth as Razuli, he scrambles out of the way as the arrows reign down.

Damn! This day would be difficult enough without these warriors dogging our tail.

Spoiler text: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)

Though we are still working out the details I figure I’ll act as if I only knew of three attacks incoming   So I’ll spend 2Doom to dodge all three but I don’t want to add more so I’ll be rolling straight  2 dice for each defense
00:21, Today: Octavian rolled 18 using 2d20 with rolls of 10,8.  Third  Dodge (Athletics) 11/1 .
00:21, Today: Octavian rolled 14 using 2d20 with rolls of 3,11.  Second  Dodge (Athletics) 11/1 .
00:20, Today: Octavian rolled 13 using 2d20 with rolls of 1,12.  First Dodge (Athletics) 11/1 .

You all dodge the arrows raining down or press yourself against cover but what now? The ledge is not that big and besides a few rocks, two small trees and a little overhanging rock-shelf (cover for Iriska) there is not much else besides a long way down.
To make thinks worse you think you can hear more angry tribesmen joining to other group, you think you can even her the voice of the chieftains son, the one who was the first to welcome you into the village, from up there yelling orders or threads, hard to say...

Spoiler text: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
Another half dozen arrives and they start to get better organized!
Ketei is currently in cover behind the two small trees and Iriska is covering under the rock-shelf.
You go first as usual.

Ketei leans out from under the cover just enough to get off a shot at the collecting tribesmen. He focuses his first shot on the son, knowing that without him the gathering will be less organized, or perhaps it could infuriate them more.

Round 2
Since Ketei has remained unnoticed to this point, he's attempting a stealth ambush.

19:44, Today: Ketei rolled 23 using 2d20 with rolls of 4,19.  Stealth Ambush, TN12/F2.
One Success

19:48, Today: Ketei rolled 38 using 3d20 with rolls of 13,15,10.  Ranged Weapons w/ 1 Momentum, D1, TN15/F3. No range penalty due to Shoot for the Horizon.
Success plus 2 Momentum

19:51, Today: Ketei rolled 2 using 1d20 with rolls of 2.  Hit Location.
Head

19:59, Today: Ketei rolled 3 using 2d6 with rolls of 1,2.  Cover.
3 Cover

19:54, Today: Ketei rolled 14 using 4d6 with rolls of 1,3,6,4.  Hyrkanian Bow Damage.
19:55, Today: Ketei rolled 7 using 2d6 with rolls of 5,2.  Reroll damage due to Accurate (3 & 4).
5 base Damage - 3 Cover = 2 Damage

Holding Momentum till hit is confirmed (if I get the ambush exploit he is defenseless and I get 2 pierce).

GM:

Spoiler text: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
You would need to spend two momentum to pick out the son (like a called shot) and from your current position you cannot ambush the tribesmen. On the plus side: They cannot react anyway and naked men dont have armor that needs to be pierced anyway!

As the arrows rain down on all of you Razuli deftly ducked into some bushes near the rock wall. A quick glance up ensures him that they are probably very difficult to spot from above but then his eyes are slowly drawn to the wall itself where a skull stares at him, peering into his soul with his hollow eyes.  Razuli quickly realized that the skull isn't real and just chiseled out of rock but the unsettling feeling that something is not right in this valley remains.

A high pitched scream can be heard above as Keteis arrow digs itself into a tribesmen who stepped in-front of the elders son to get a better aim at you. Keeling over he falls down into the same tree as Arithames before. With a loud crack a large part of the tree breaks apart and crashes down into the depth together with the wild warrior.

A single well placed arrow manages to strike Ketei but leaves no lasting harm as it bounces off his heavy helmet. The disorienting effect of the impact makes it hard to get a clear target through the underbrush above though and so the arrow sails past its mark.

In one fluid motion Octavian steps out of his cover while the sling swings around, sending the stone upwards and right against the chin of a black skinned warrior. A mean "thud" is all that can be heard before the fierce warrior collapses like a dropped bag of sand.

Octavian shoots a wryly smile

When I left the free companies...I decided I didn’t want to die on a battlefield for another’s fortune and glory; I wanted to die seeking my own.

And with the number of bows they have...this just might be the place and time.

We seem better at hitting them than they are at hitting us.

Still, I don’t like our odds on the climb with a hail of arrows raining down. I definitely don’t like the girls’ odds.

So let’s see if we can’t soften them a little. Maybe they will decide it’s not worth it.

Loading the sling, Octavian exposes himself as he winds up and hurls another stone.

Ok, I didn't even look at the dice rolls, just your total and D value. I thought your total was the number of successes rolled followed by the Difficulty needed. So he got Success plus 0 Momentum on the damaging hit.

Ok, so Ketai will create Doom to defend both hits (being fair even though I know the one will generate no damage.

17:20, Today: Ketei rolled 9 using 2d20 with rolls of 1,8.  Acrobatics, TN11/F1.
Success plus 2 Momentum... resulting in a successful Dodge and using the 2 Momentum for my next Defend.

17:36, Today: Ketei rolled 46 using 4d20 with rolls of 19,7,12,8.  Acrobatics, TN11/F1.
Success plus 1 Momentum... resulting in a tie (win to the PC unless Doom spent).

Ketei anticipates the retaliation and is prepared to avoid the arrows. He deftly dodges the arrows by moving among the trees as he makes his way toward the sound of the scream. The arrows fall around him and thud into the trees but he remains unscaithed.

While nobody on the ledge has much time to enjoy the scenery its quite obvious that the place where Arithames points at only show a gaping hole down and into the cliff-face with no Razuli in sight.

Could this be the answer to the doom raining from above or is it a trap leading to a short but painful death?

Arithames watches Ketei quickly uncover a small and dark tunnel going down and into the cliff. The walls seem to be worked very well despite its apparent age and it looks quite slippery to be honest. But why would Razuli vanish into that hole that quickly if nobody pushed him in?

Iriska quickly dashes over to Ketei and ducks against the overgrown wall without exposing herself to too much missile fire but Arithames ends up stumbling badly as one of her legs still hurts from the fall so Octavian has to cover her while helping her up.
