The Darkwood Inn II (OOC)

Dread normally says either way, it's either trust the roller from hell, or take 1/2 hit die + 1. your choice. I personally go with the half +1. The dice roller hates me.

The Darkwood Inn II (OOC)

what fidget says. either go for the guaranteed 1 above half (d6:4/d8:5/D10:6/d12:7) or roll and take what the dice goddess gives you. no rolling then going for the guaranteed. ;)

and Arell if you want Rolf to be your Pet take 1 rank in animal handling.

You get first dibs.

Rolf will tag along with the party if there is a member who wants him and spends the slot to learn how to handle him
Then I will give stats to the player.

order of dibs.

1. Arell
2. Nomerendal
3. Fidget
4. Sara
5. Dorak

@Tanien - I'm considering some things for my level-up... Are you a primary archer? I'm considering a slight revamp of my little gnome. Bards have oodles of skills, but are very feat starved, so I'm just wondering what your character's focus is before I make my decision(s).

@GM - Could I maybe use Countersong to help Sara? Voices in her head might constitute a language or sonic effect... ;-) If she gets Saves, maybe I could use Inspire Courage to help as well? Or lastly, could I try to counter whatever's affecting her by using Charm Person spell somehow?

No Sara, you're sick, and you're GOING TO LISTEN to my countersong, now sit down and start clapping your hands! ;-)

I was all ready to dig in and make these PF rules bleed trying to save you. Don't forget it... lol.

I thought for sure the spider monster jumped into Sara and we were going to have to fight her or something to get it out!

yeah I thought about letting it run for a bit, but knew it would just be fun role playing for sara and might actually cause some friction later. so once Dorak said something...figured Id spill the beans.

good rping for sara though to convince you so readily

in her character background, thats exactly what happened though...the spider thingy did almost possess her ;)

More like the Hivemind is an spiritual entity from the first world that possesses arachnids (or others...but primarily arachnids). And with the body of it's host...an assassin spider being slain it tried to jump into another host...and failed and left a share of itself inside her head

Forgive that bit of indulgence, but Tanien's post in the Character Creation thread brought me back to Arell's original questionnaire.  And I remembered I had more stuff to do with Arell beyond being cranky and killing stuff.

No forgiveness needed. Some of these folks here who've been in my Rise of The Runelords game for quite some time now...years...know that it's rewarding to me to see players develop their characters and posts like that make it worthwhile.

The Darkwood Inn II (OOC)

Arell and Nomerendal have heard of Idris Eaveswalker. He's a haughty well known Elven Ranger part of an adventuring group
He made Falcons Hollow his home because he fell in love with a local Kitani, the clothiers daughter several years back.

They married had a daughter Kimi some 14 years ago. For a long time he'd go adventuring for a few days/weeks and return. The clothier died. Kitani took of the family business. But Idris wasn't for settling down . Adventuring was in his blood...and so was womanizing. Kitani kept pulling him out of taverns where he was enjoying his second favorite pastime...the first was hunting werewolves.

Most recently after a big blow up Idris left to go adventuring...that was 2 years ago.

His daughter Kimi ignores the bar rumors and idolizes her dad fancying herself a heroic adventurer too. She's 14.
