In reply to Veskard (msg # 198):

Yes, clear the level. If there is time Argon will search the cells before moving on.

Re: On the road

I'll have to ask the group if there's time for that search. They seem satisfied that there's nothing to find and are moving on. Chime in and tell me what you think about Argon searching these cells. Also Argon, keep in mind that the cell with the coins definitely has some yellow mold that will eat your flesh if you fail your save.

Are you all decided on returning to 1 and going down the passage to the south? Or is that still under discussion? The basic options are:

Turn west, then north
Go back through 1 and keep going east
Go back to 1 and turn south

Re: On the road

Argon will follow the rest IC, but I would opt for Turn west, then north.

Re: On the road

So we have two votes (and possibly a third from Gilly) to go west.

How would you guys feel about just letting Gilly decide turns and such since he's in the lead? On the one hand, it speeds up the decisions, but on the other, the rest of you would have no input.

Also, since we're down to 4 players (Glanduil has not posted in 3 months) that means we could have a tie, so if we do the group vote option we'll need a tie breaker. Possible options include a die roll or having me vote on behalf of one of the people I'm NPCing. That in turn could be based on a die roll, or what I think the character would do.

Re: On the road

I already use the "let the guys in front decide" approach in our game from the start.

Re: On the road

I'm thinking that Gilly would be asking the others what they think about where to go. he's really just a kid with not much experience.

Re: On the road

How about we do this, Gilly: If you're in favor of turning west when you leave the cell block, that would make you vote number three for that, so just go ahead and narrate that in the IC thread. While that's going on, we can resolve how we're going to handle it in the future.

If you prefer to head back to room 1, we're going to need Wyrran to chime in.

Re: On the road

OK, since we have 75% of the vote minimum for west & north, I'll describe that in the IC and post a new map tomorrow.

Re: On the road

Map updated. Let me know if it start's getting too small and I'll change it to a whole-dungeon-map and a map focusing on your immediate environs.

Re: On the road

Will you be continuing west or turning north?

And as for determining direction, how about we do this: When you have a choice to make, I'll ask in the OOC. If we haven't had a clear answer by the next posting day (Monday, Wednesday or Friday) Gilly chooses because he's in the lead.

Any objections?

Yes. When I posted, I assumed you were at the back of the formation, but you're still definitely in range.

Re: On the road

Hi everyone, How many PC's do we have left ? I have a couple of good players who are likely to be keen if this seems like a sensible place to introduce some new blood ?

Re: On the road

Arrrrrrgh! Not Gilly, too!

[Mutters incoherently and angrily]

OK, today is crazy for me, so I'll have to post tomorrow.

Is the general consensus go back to town, or would you like to let Gilly and the gals go and just happen to find some new party members tied up in the dungeon somewhere?

I'm sorry, my opinion was to let new players in, yes, but not going back to town now. Just my opinion though, I'll go with whatever you like.
