Upon returning to the control room, Bane slides himself into the seat before the central control terminal and begins his search of security recordings, logs and messages for any clue as to the location of Sora's missing fortune. R5, who has landed the ship upon receiving the message that they have regained control of the estate, trundles into the control room shortly thereafter and plugs itself into the terminal beside Bane to assist in the search. Zirak stands behind them so as to oversee their progress. Ak-Yev does not join them, but instead departs with a troop of guards to begin organising the defences of the estate and isolate any remaining holdouts in the fortress. Sora is content to let the mercenary oversee this process, and perches himself upon the remaining security console, continuing his conversation with Eeth.

"So why do the Jedi Crusaders hate the rest of the galaxy so much?" Sora asks Eeth, frowning.

"We do not hate the galaxy," Eeth corrects him.

"Right. Why are you at war with the galaxy?" Sora amends.

"We are not at war with the galaxy either," Eeth once more corrects Sora, "We are at war with the Stratocracy, because Veers has declared war on the Living Force."

"By disbanding the Jedi Order?" Sora queries.

"It is much deeper than the simple disbanding of our Order," Eeth says grimly, "He and his officials do not believe in or respect the Force. They do not listen to its guiding or to those who are in touch with such things."

"Are we seriously asking a weakling who couldn't even get away from some pathetic Weequay what is going on with the Galaxy these days and why people cut his departmental funding?" Zirak scoffs destainfully.

"It has nothing to do with funding," Eeth sniffs, "It has to do with where he is leading the galaxy. He must be stopped before he leads it to destruction."

"To be fair, he seems to be doing a pretty effective job of stopping himself without any assistance from you lot," Bane quips as he continues to type away.

Sora frowns.

"Is there no way to simply reason with him? The Stratocratic agent who befriended us seemed quite reasonable. And speaking of Sella," he adds, glancing to Zirak and Bane, "We need to track her down and rescue her."

Bane does not appear to hear the weequay as he focuses very intently on the terminal before him.

"Why are we speaking of Sella? I do not see the smallest need for us to be speaking of Sella. We have a food source right here, so why do we need to think about her ever again, much less waste our time actually hunting her? I highly doubt she's the one who emptied these treasure vaults of all my credits," Zirak says reasonably.

"We are speaking of Sella because you two let her captives get away, and instead of going after her, you headed straight for my estate and my credits," Sora flares, half rising, "Well, now the credits are gone and perhaps justice has simply been served."

"Captors, you mean. Or maybe you don't; you're right that she was probably working with them, trying to lure you into rescuing her by relying on your noble idiocy," Zirak sneers, dwelling darkly on this unfair thought.

"Captors," Sora corrects with a resentful glare at Zirak, "And I don't care what you two do. I am rescuing her before I attempt to access any credits. Eeth, can I count on your help?"

"There are bigger issues in the galaxy than one missing Stratocratic agent," Eeth says firmly.

"So I am going on my own then, am I?" Sora says, his voice dangerously calm, "Fine. But I'm taking that cube with me."

"Since it looks like we three are on the same side in thinking Sora is stupid for wanting to waste time rescuing Sella," Zirak says to Eeth, rolling his eyes at Sora, "Perhaps we can count on your help to knock him out and lug him back onto the ship until your precious Force has had time to talk some sense into him?"

Eeth opens his mouth to respond, but before he can do so Bane interrupts.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me..."

"What is it?" Eeth asks darkly.

"You weren't in Al-Campur two days ago, by any chance?" Bane queries, glancing at Eeth.

"You know that I was not," Eeth replies, "Why?"

"I found this. Dated two days ago."

Bane angles the terminal screen so that Eeth and Sora are able to see it.

Across the top of the screen is the logo of HoloNet News. Below is an image of what appears to be Eeth Koth, partway through leaping across a massive, circular stone table around which a dozen weequay are seated. He presses a button and the image begins moving to depict Eeth flipping across the table, green lightsaber in hand, to impale the nearest weequay who had half risen with a cry of terror. He withdraws a grenade and hurls it into the centre of the table as smoke begins to fill the room and obscure everything aside from flashes of green and orange light in the haze.The recording continues as a slick, female voice sounds across the recording.

"...Fear continues to spread across the planet of Sriluur following the assassination of the Ruling Council earlier this morning in what many are calling a Jedi Crusader terror attack. The Jedi, who has been identified as Eeth Koth, a prominent member of the terrorist organisation, remains at large, and citizens across the planet have been urged to remain indoors and alert. This is the organisation's boldest action since the attack on the Stratocratic Department of Military Research, and their first attack within Confederacy space..."

Eeth's eyes widen in bewilderment as he watches the recording.

"That is... not me..." he shakes his head in disbelief.

Zirak narrows his eyes.

"Did you steal our credits?" he demands suspiciously.

"Relax Zirak, I actually believe him," says Bane, "Though I suspect it might have something to do with our missing fortune," he continues grimly, swapping across to another image of what appears to be the treasury full of weequay soldiers packing aurodium ingots into crates, "These were cleared out a couple of days after your capture, Eeth, and around a week before the supposed 'terror attack'. My initial guess is that Sora's uncle thought he'd make use of your capture and frame you for the murder of the Sriluur ruling council. Not a terrible plan, you have to admit."

"...At least tell me the bounty on his head now is worth as much as the credits he didn't steal?" Zirak says, eyeing Eeth with a mercenary gleam in his eye.

Bane types into the console, then nods, impressed.

"It's actually quite a decent amount-"

"We are not handing over Eeth for a bounty," Sora says firmly, "Didn't you two hear him say he didn't do it?"

"Yes, we heard him say that he doesn't have anything worth sparing him for," Zirak sneers. "He has been abundantly clear on that. His only worth is as a food source, and even that is nothing if you won't eat him."

"We need him to take us to the Jedi Crusaders," Sora replies, "We need all the information we can get on this cube."

"We should leave immediately," Eeth says, "If your uncle sent any transmissions regarding the attack, it won't be long before we have half the galaxy on our doorstep."

"And speaking off..." Bane says ominously, typing away, "We have a ship entering the atmosphere, requesting permission to dock."

"Wonderful."

"Who is it?" Sora frowns, rising from his desk to approach Bane.

"Your guess is as good as mine, Sora," Bane says unhelpfully, flicking a switch on the comm system beside the terminal, "They'll be expecting a weequay to answer to you'd better do the talking Sora."

"Blockade runner to Ruul," comes a cold, female voice in Basic, "I'm here for the Jedi."

Sora sends the others an ominous glance, before coughing and leaning closer to the comm.

"Um... Jedi?"

There is an impatient sigh from the other end of the comm.

"Korak was expecting me, right? What platform am I heading for?"

"Um, right..." Sora says, "Right... The Jedi... Yes..."

OOC: Sora Bulq rolled 3 using 1d20. Bluff.

Bane places a pained hand to his helmeted forehead, bringing up a schematic of the Bulq Estate and silently tapping Platform Three.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" comes the female voice impatiently.

"Ah, yes, sorry," Sora says, "You are cleared for Platform... Platform Three."

"Fine," says the female voice, "Just make sure you have the Jedi ready."

With that the comm clicks off.

"Real smooth, Sora," Bane shakes his head darkly.

"... So what now?" Zirak sneers.

"Now," says Bane confidently as he snatches up his blaster rifle and begins to stride to the door, "We find out what Korak was up to, and hopefully where he sent all that aurodium."

"Right..." Sora says doubtfully as he unclips his lightsaber and strides after Bane.

Zirak looks disappointed that their immediate goals don't include eating Eeth, but rallies at the thought of credits, also following Bane.

"Find Ak-Yev and tell him to meet us at the platform," Bane instructs Sora as he makes his way out into the corridor outside, "We'll need a weequay to meet whoever this lady is, and she may recognise you."

Sora nods, flicking on his comm and speaking in Sriluurian with Ak-Yev as they hurry down the corridor.

Bane leads the way, following the schematic diagram of the facility on the datapad he carries before him. They walk swiftly and silently for most of the journey, however, as they near the exit to the platform Eeth speaks up.

"So what exactly is your plan? I hope you don't intend to hand me over to this bounty hunter?"

"Why would we hand lunch over to dinner?" Zirak smiles nastily.

If Bane is smirking, his helmet conceals it from his companions. He adds nothing further to Zirak's answer.

Eeth narrows his eyes at Zirak, but before he can respond they are joined by Ak-Yev who comes jogging up the corridor behind them.

He gives Zirak a respectful bow upon reaching them, "Emissary," before turning his attention to Sora, "You summoned me?"

"He did," Bane answers, "There is a bounty hunter landing on the platform, and the odds are fairly high that she is the one Korak gave our treasure vault to. Or even if she doesn't have it, she'll know who does. She is apparently here to pick up Eeth Koth. Your job is to get her to come inside where we will be waiting to ambush her."

Ak-Yev glances at Zirak, raising a questioning eyebrow.

"Quay demands it," Zirak assures him regally.

Ak-Yev bows once more to Zirak, before barking an order in Sriluurian to two weequay guards nearby, who form up to flank him as the door opens and the trio stride out onto the platform.

"All right," says Bane as the door closes once more, typing the screen of his datapad to bring up a recording of the empty platform as Ak-Yev and the two guards walk into view, "Let's find out who we're dealing with..."

A modified blockade appears on the horizon a moment later, making its way steadily towards the platform. It slows as it draws nearer, eventually coming to a halt above the platform where it hovers as its landing struts are lowered with a burst of steam of depressurisation. It sets down and the boarding ramp is lowered. A few seconds later a white skinned female with an auburn topknot appears to descend the ramp, closely followed by a male trandoshan and a IG-86 assassin droid.

"Oh crud..." mutters Bane.

"What's with you? They don't look so tough to me," Zirak sneers.

Bane glances up from his datapad to stare at Zirak.

"That's Aurra Sing," he says, as if this explains everything, then, at Zirak's continued blank look, "She's only one of the most deadly bounty hunters in the galaxy. And vindictive. Your unfortunate weequay devotee out there is going to find himself toast if he doesn't do some pretty amazing bluffing. And, well, he's a weequay, so..."

"Time to find out if we can force choke through monitors?" Zirak suggests.

Bane surveys the former Sith lord for a moment longer, before shrugging and passing him the datapad.

"Be my guest."

Stretching out with the force, Zirak has done the traditional Sith pinching gesture with one gloved hand.

A moment later the door to the landing platform slides open once more, and Bane and Sora come charging out, rifle raised and lightsaber ignited.

"Go for the biocomputer!" Bane shouts to Sora as he fires at the Trandoshan, who quickly ducks back behind one of the landing struts, "It should knock her out!"

"I take it we are no longer trying to get them to come inside?" Ak-Yev says to Bane dryly as he and his guards dart forward, firing at the IG-86 unit, which twists and turns to dodge the blasts with methodical agility.

"What gave it away?" Bane shoots back tersely, ducking lower as the IG unit launches a series of answering blasts at the pair.

Sora gives a shout as he charges past the pair, swinging his lightsaber around in a well aimed slash which severs the antenna protruding from Aurra's head a few centimetres above her skull. With a shriek of pain she collapses forward, spasms for a few seconds, then lies still.

OOC: Sora Bulq dealt 18 points of damage to Rhen-Orm Biocomputer.

"Well, it actually worked," observes Bane as he advances a few paces.

The Trandoshan growls something in Dosh to his droid companion, before retreating up the boarding ramp of the ship.

"Agreed," replies the IG unit, retreating after him as the boarding ramp raises after him.

Zirak, having no difficulty crediting himself for all of this, smiles smugly.

"Leave them," Bane shouts to Sora over the roar of the corvette's engines as it begins to lift off, "Grab her and take her inside. I've no idea how long we've got until she wakes up."

Sora nods, deactivating his lightsaber as he stoops to swing Aurra's unconscious body over his shoulders and make his way back into the fortress.

Bane gestures for Ak-Yev and the others to follow as he backs up, watching the cruiser rise off the platform and soar off into the air.

"Remind me never to mess with you," he says to Zirak as enters the landing bay door and closes it behind them, then, to Sora, "Plonk her down and let's search her for any datapads or the like."

Bane crouches beside him, swiftly unholstering the pair of blasters strapped to Aurra's waste and placing them in his pack. He then begins to search the pouches at her belt.

"Three lightsabers?" he says, withdrawing the weapons one after another, "Looks like someone has been killing Jedi."

"That is my lightsaber!" Eeth says in surprise, gesturing to the last of the three hilts to be withdrawn from the pouch. It flies through the air into his outstretched hand as he speaks.

He inserts the medpac into Aurra's thigh as he says this, and presses a button. With a gurgle it's injector needle jerks out and sprays bacta across the weequay's pants and boots.

Whether it is due to Zirak's rather pitiful healing efforts, or simply by chance, Aurra gives a gasp and her eyes snap open a few moments later. They swiftly narrow as she directs a venomous gaze about her captors, lingering on Eeth.

"Can we try to focus here?" Bane complains, glancing at the pair before turning back to Aurra.

"Why? Did Korak promise you more once the job was done?"

Aurra gives Bane a longsuffering look, before rolling her eyes.

"I don't know anything about this 'job' and aurodium you keep babbling on about," she sneers, "Koth has a bounty on his head and Korak contacted me saying he'd caught him. I'm just here to collect him."

"If she doesn't have credits, I say we eat her."

Aurra sends Zirak a sneer.

"We found Eeth's lightsaber on you," Bane says patiently to Aurra, "Now, I'm guessing Korak gave it to you to make the assassination of those weequays look more legit. What did you use, out of interest? A holographic disguise matrix or some kind of transformation serum?"

Aurra shifts her sneer to Bane, and remains obstinately silent.

"All we want," continues Bane, ignoring Sora, "Is that aurodium. You give us the aurodium, and we let you go free."

"You sure your friends are okay with that?" Aurra says skeptically, glancing at the pair of Jedi glaring at her.

"Because of her half the galaxy will be hunting me," Eeth says coldly, "She's not going anywhere."

"Half the galaxy was hunting you anyway," Bane waves a dismissive hand, "This is hardly the worst thing you Crusaders have done. But without those credits you are much more likely to get caught."

"Half the galaxy is hunting me as well, if it's any consolation," says Sora.

"Exactly," says Bane brightly, "Even more need for credits to fund your going underground."

Zirak seems to see the sense of this logic.

Eeth narrows his eyes at Bane, but does not argue any further.

Bane nods, taking this as agreement as he turns expectantly back Aurra.

"Well?"

Aurra eyes Eeth appraisingly, then Sora, then Zirak. At last she returns her attention to Bane.

"The aurodium is at my hideout," she says guardedly.

Aurra's fists clench as she begins to tremble, glaring defiantly at Zirak. After several moments her smug smile returns as Zirak's own smile fades and he lowers his hand.

"Well?" prompts Bane after a moment, not sounding hopeful.

"Failed attempts to shatter minds always make me feel hungry," Zirak notes, eyes glinting an ominous red, "Is there any reason to bother about keeping her alive for the aurodium if we can't get it anyway?"

"Well, we can get it if she is alive to lead us to her ship..." Bane says carefully.

Zirak stares coldly at Aurra for a moment longer.

"Fine," Zirak allows at length, grudgingly, "I suppose she might as well live, since Sora needs something to feed on."

"Exactly," says Bane, sounding relieved, "All right, Aurra, we'll do this your way for now. But try to betray us and I won't make any effort to stop Zirak here from bringing you to an unpleasant end."

Aurra narrows her eyes at Zirak, but nods reluctantly.

Bane pauses a moment longer, before advancing to flick the deactivation switch on the disruptor field, releasing Aurra who falls heavily to the ground.

"So, where is this hideout of yours?"

Aurra picks herself up, eyeing Bane resentfully for a moment as she brushes herself off.
