Chapter VII: Journey to Ruul

"We're not traveling to Corellia," Zirak informs Bane half an hour later, sticking his head into the cockpit, "We're traveling to a moon called Ruul."

Chapter VII: Journey to Ruul

Bane, partway through typing in hyperspace coordinates provided by R5, pauses, sending Zirak what is doubtlessly an irritated glance.

"Might I ask why?"

"Sora's family has an estate there," Zirak replies, "He thinks he might find some information on those Jedi Crusader people there, since it appears they owned that facility in which we awoke."

"We care," Zirak glances down the corridor behind him, lowering his voice, "Because Sora is the heir to that estate, and it is worth a ton of credits, that's why."

Bane and R5 exchange a look.

"Fair enough," Bane replies as R5 hastily trundles off to acquire the hyperspace charts to the facility.

Chapter VII: Journey to Ruul

Bane makes his way over to the pilot's chair as he speaks, and igniting the engines, he proceeds to take the ship out of the hangar and up, through the traffic, out into the gleaming sky towers of the upper city. He directs the ship across the surface, and within a quarter of an hour they have reached a bossed silver landing platform, spanning almost a kilometer in length.

As they approach the platform, they are hailed via comm. Bane switches it on, and a monotone male, human voice addresses them.

"This is Geranii District flight tower 4592. Please provide your vehicle's name and identification."

"This is where we find out if you are as good as you like to think you are," Bane mutters to R5, who has returned with the hyperspace coordinates, before addressing the comm, "This is freighter 'Malar's Fist'. Transmitting identification signature to you now."

"Your signature has been received, 'Malar's Fist'. You are cleared to land."

Chapter VII: Journey to Ruul

Bane, Zirak and R5 disembark, making their way across the gleaming platform and into the skywalks and towers of the upper city. The sun shines brightly down upon them, casting its golden rays onto the tops of the low hanging clouds a hundred or so meters below them. The streets about them couldn't contrast more sharply with those below. The buildings about them are polished, and they spot numerous maintenance droids sweeping streets, cleaning windows and scrubbing walls. The beings about them are well dressed, wearing robes and gowns. Businessmen hurry past, speaking hurriedly on comlinks, advertising droids hover past, displaying holoads, and families bustle about the grand shops about them with well dressed children laughing, shouting, crying and screaming.

"Come, Zirak, do try to control yourself," Bane says quickly as his companion sends a particularly malicious glance at a spoiled looking human boy standing several meters away, midway through a temper tantrum, "Much as I appreciate your sentiment, remember where we are."

Chapter VII: Journey to Ruul

Zirak glances darkly at a pair of security droids hovering nearby, who incidentally are doing nothing to quiet the screaming child.

"You have a point," he concedes resentfully, though to Bane it seems more than coincidence when the boy appears to trip as Zirak passes, falling flat on his back and wailing even louder than before. Unperturbed, Zirak continues on.

Within a few minutes the party arrive outside a large shop above which a sign depicts three horizontal bars which form the base of a triangle which appears to have had its top cut off. The bottom most of the bars is black, the middle bar is a dark blue, and the top bar is a lighter blue. between the two blue bars a white circle rests, cutting a chunk out of each.

R5 beeps with glee, trundling past Bane and into the store and over to where a shelf displays state-of-the-art flamethrowers and fitted blaster pistol mounts.

"Beepity-boopity-dwoop," it informs Bane.

Chapter VII: Journey to Ruul

When the trio exit the shop half a standard hour later, a very smug R5 is fully equipped with a fire extinguisher, rust inhibitor, holorecorder and audiorecorder, in addition to its flamethrower and newly mounted DL-22 blaster pistol. They make their way through the streets once more, and are relieved to see no sign of the screaming boy. Within a few minutes they are back on board 'Malar's Fist'.
