DM a question about my cottage. If I stay in my cottage for a tenday, does that reduce the amount I'd normally have to pay (40g) to maintain social class 4?

Because if not then for now I think I'll rent it out and earn a 5 net gold / month profit. Just something that can slowly accumulate until I'm ready to upgrade my investment or buy a new one.

To maintain your social status you have to have a lifestyle aligned to a certain value. If your cottage would provide the same value (for example renting it out), then no problem! Otherwise, you can pay the difference.

My only doubt is that I don't remember you buying a cottage! When did you buy it?

I'm buying it now, between adventures. Like how that mount Boo hunting lodge was purchased.

I have Advanced FF 2nd Edition, the heroes companion, and blackmoor of course. Are there any other supplements available for the game, especially with new magic traditions etc, or is it just companion?

Is that encyclopedia compatible with your blackmoor game? I forgot what you said before about how cross-compatible 1st edition supplements are with 2nd edition AFF.

The Enyclopedia Arcana is for AFF2e, not for AFF1e.

Well I'm sold! I decided to follow your link and buy the encyclopedia arcana, because it said it has an expanded list of treasures and other stuff that I think sounds really interesting once he gets into enchanting later in the game.
