Distribution of magic items or non-gold treasure should be handled with in-character roleplaying; you have one post to argue why you should be granted the boon after which, if you can't come to a decision in game, I will have you roll for it on a d100. Highest roll wins the prize. Obviously you may only make a case for an item if you are able to use it!

Gold will be distributed equally. Gems and other valuables will also be distributed equally once the valuables have been sold; however, someone will have to be appointed to hold these treasures.
