Darren, once breakfast is ready, enjoys a nice breakfast with Cassie...he also keeps track of whether or not Jessica is still around. She may still be here, she may have left, but she doesn't seem to have stopped by for breakfast...he sends someone to find Jessica if she's still here.

Jessica it turns out is in the library on her E reader

Darren went to check on Jessica after sharing breakfast with Carrie.

"You off to work already?"

Smiles "Just reviewing things"

Darren grins at that. "Well then, how long do you have before you're off?"

He never knows when they'll get recalled by the Sept, or even their packs. It's in and out all the time.

"2 days" she states clearly

Darren is pleasantly surprised. "Two days. That's longer than I thought you had. So...did you have breakfast yet? We had it made. I think Cassie might have helped for reasons unknown..."

she nods "Thank you for your kindness

"Well, kindness is surprisingly important. Especially for those who have to fight all the time. You might not see enough of it, some days...or even weeks or months. It's good to have a safe place you can come back to, where you don't have to think about what you have to do next."

In some ways, Darren functions as a vacation spot for these ladies too. If they're here, they're not fighting Wyrm. Every soldier appreciates going on leave.

This is new. He hadn't met this one before, though he'd spent enough time with the lady wolves to know this was another one.

"Well, hello there. I hadn't been told you were coming. Do you need space to stay?"

Normally the Sept gives him more warning than this. They must be busy with whatever took Jessica and Cassie back to their packs. Wouldn't be the first time info has slipped through the cracks.

She nods "YYes I do" smiles

He did notice she cut an especially impressive figure. Like a super hero of some kind. Gave him a few clues about her, but...

"Welcome then. They were a little slow on sending me your name though...apparently they're busy in house."

Smiles & nods "I am Oksana I would be your guest"

Darren nods, and shows her to her room. "Anything you'll need while you're here?"

Definitely Russian. He can't help thinking of those 'Russian bride' websites, except for him, this'll work out much out better than it does for others.
