Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)
Iíll be sure to keep it open so each of you can contribute.

That leads me to another question. With regard to bringing the game to a close, I can do one of two things.

I can set up a final gathering, likely at the Thornton-Curry Saloon, where the cast can interact before parting ways. If anyone has any unfinished business with another character, player controlled or NPC, this would provide them the opportunity to address it.

On the other hand, if the central concern is the greater fate of Lincoln itself, I can write up a denouement that discusses what unfolds within the Rio Bonito Valley in the wake of Murphyís demise. I could also use that narrative as a bookend, after those players who wanted to wrote a few paragraphs on what became of their individual characters.

Iím completely fine with either option. Just let me know what youíd prefer.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)
It's been fantastic, thanks again for this wonderful story! I loved every moment.

Albert did want to raise one more toast at the end, specifically to Siobhan, Ezekiel, Tamsin, and Jacinta who were neither residents nor law dogs.

In addition to the work by our fantastic GM, thanks to all the other players as well. You are all awesome players and made this game incredibly enjoyable.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)
There was a time when Hollywood used to make movies where they actually gave a damn about the characters and the story and would add those little denouements for each of them at the very end.

I heard this in my mind:

I watched Luca last night. One of my favorite parts of the movie was the credits where they show what happens next with all the charactersÖ

Agreed!

The postscript was a great idea!

And yes, wonderful achievement to complete the whole story you set out to tell!  I've not seen it on RPOL before.  And a great story to boot.

3.5 years and 4600+ posts later, we have completed a fantastic and vivid Deadlands story.

Thanks to the Marshal for a great job done, and to my fellow player characters for creating vivid and memorable characters.

This definitely bears repeating. Not one bit of this story would have unfolded without the presence of each of your characters. Every one of you did an exceptional job of bringing your chosen persona to life. I have no doubt that I will be remembering some of the events of this game for years to come.

Again, my thanks to each of you for taking part.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)
Albert Cooper:
Yes, I would be. Unlikely Iíd be able to do any character creation until near end of July.

Full disclosure: Part of my motivation for asking was due to the fact that constructing the game will take some time. Besides including details regarding the world itself, being a fantasy setting, there are racial options and edges that are unique to 50 Fathoms that I need to be certain to inform participants about up front, so they can incorporate them into their choices during character creation. Also, although spellcasting itself works as it does in most Savage Worlds games, there are specific streams of power that arcane characters tap into which impact the powers that they are able to access. All that to say that typing up that information will require some work on my part, work that selfishly, I didnít want to put in if there wasnít any interest.

That said, with regard to your situation Albert, I honestly doubt that Iíll have the game properly constructed before the end of the month. Iíll probably be ready to open the doors around the time youíre free to devote some thought to character creation.

My sincere thanks to everyone who expressed interest. Iíll drop each of you a quick rMail once I have the game prepared.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

So...  not sure if this is the best place to do it.  And I know its early and all...  But if anyone else wanted to spitball 50 Fathoms character ideas.  I'm in...  I'd love to work out some possible preexisting connections or such...  If wouldn't mess anything up.

Character creation is an addictive joy for me.

Life...has been shitty lately. BUT...I'm still going to enjoy the 50 Fathoms game, quite a bit. Has there been any discussion about characters? If so, lemme know where. If not...let's start?
