Trouble is, I own most of it already, either in PDF or physical copy.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

For someone who’s new to Deadlands: Reloaded, it’s a really great entry point. Helps benefit a worthy cause, too.

On the other hand, I have to confess I’ve been somewhat curious about Feng Shui 2 for a while. I might take the plunge on that offer.

There's a bit of that bundle I don't have, but I'm on a self imposed moratorium for new books, etc. right now.  My willpower has held out so far.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Just so everyone is aware, I’m working on linking some of your narrative threads together, as several of you are headed to the same destinations. Which, honestly, is a good thing, as it will give you an opportunity to compare notes on what you’ve learned. Just bear with me as I try to make the whole thing as seamless as possible.

If you want to move Jake to the meetup, I don't think there was anything more I planned to do except follow those last directions I got.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

A quick question for those in the saloon, discussing a visit to the schoolhouse. The answer can be discussed here, or in-character, as desired.

Keep in mind that it’s now sunset in Lincoln County. Do you want to make your visit now, under the cover of darkness, or wait until tomorrow to explore the building?

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Sunset already? Dang. Albert will need to drop off something at home and check in with his family. Then he'll be able to start spelunking. Night time would be generally preferred as it will be dark underground, regardless.

I wasn't aware it was that late, either, but if Albert's going at night, I can't in good conscience let him go alone.

Only low down snakes and soiled doves of ill repute are out so late.  So Kate's in.

Or whenever.

Makes Bryan's decision easier. He can go cave diving at night and visit the Sheriff in the morning.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

I just want to double check, to ensure I'm not holding up any part of the proceedings. Those that have descended into the tunnel (Albert, Kate, Tamsin), are you advancing down the corridor, or are you remaining where you are, waiting for the rest of the group to join you?

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

I was thinking we'd wait, as others have indicated their desire to join us. Particularly 'Weedkiller' McGraw, who has a whole contraption set up for dealing with vegetable foes.

We're not specifically waiting for only you. However, Albert did make it clear what they had discovered in the hole and his (and presumably Kate's) intentions. I was hoping to either have people say they were going to join or not before proceeding.

The General also asked us to wait, so Weedkiller certainly isn't our lone holdup. I expect the Rev will also want to make a decision once he's gathered a few more facts (or fictions, depending on the case).

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Basically, Bryan didn't know who would be joining them so he wanted to guard their six, so to speak. He's a bit more relaxed now that it's just the Rev and not someone with hostile intentions.

He's eager to join the party down below and get moving, but the Reverend has lots of questions. :)

Yeah Kate was holding until everything topside was okay.  It seems to be, so she'll start moving in now per IC post.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

This is how I have each of your positions at present:
  • Kate and McGraw are currently on the covered porch, having not yet entered the house.
  • Castillo and River are in the common room, near the front door, dealing with Segovia.
  • Lee and Cooper have moved to the closed door on the right hand wall of the common room and are about to open it.
  • Allgood is at the back door of the house.

If I have anyone accounted for incorrectly, just let me know. I will update the Group 0 Map this evening, probably after I handle Cooper and Lee proceeding further into the house.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Incidentally, unless I receive information to the contrary, I’m working on the assumption that Reverend Allgood will continue to beat on the farmhouse’s back door until someone opens it to allow him inside.
