Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

I may have missed it, but the description seems like a pretty dim/dark situation.

Riding in at night?

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Two shooters on the lower level porch (counting Diehl), two more on the upstairs balcony, and the tumbleweeds that seem to be moving all on their own.

I don't mean to be so difficult lol

What's the range increment?  Any cover?

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

This portion of the posse is effectively short range from the ranch house. There won't be any range penalties to either side. The tumbleweeds are also at short range.

The area where the riders are is completely absent of cover. It's an open area, virtually free of plants and rocks. The only spot to obtain cover would be either the ranch house itself, or one of the adjacent structures, like the bunkhouse or barn.

I'm going to follow double-kay's example and be difficult.

What is Albert's range to the remaining guard in our thread?

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Although the position where Cooper, Castillo, and company are positioned might be technically out of short range for most pistols, given the well lit conditions in and around the stable, and how easily visible the posted guard is, I’m not inclined to impose a range penalty on any shots.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Albert Cooper:
OOC: At least I think that was the plan. Do slap me around a bit if I'm not remembering correctly.

IIRC the plan was for the other crew to come up the back way, for a pincer like effect. We come in the front door bringing the noise (we made a bit more than we bargained for; word to the wise, if anyone tells you they have an "okie doke" just say no), y'all come in the back, blocking a retreat but also executing a stealth op by coming in through the secret entrance. And we all congregate within for a grand finale hopefully.

Haha, I regret nothing.

Also, to save time later:  Is the Gatling operator in any way covered/obscured/protected?
