Bryan Lee:
As luck would have it, I played the Inspiration card on a round where most PCs and allied NPCs elected not to roll anything lol.

Marshal, is Dolan dealt into the round? I didnt see his name on the list.

lol IKR?  Especially bad as I'm really going to need it next round

I know I intitially said I was going to go On Hold, but I found some time to put a post together, so I updated my post to take Lee's actions.

I promise I’ll get things updated this evening. My workplace has been a bit of a madhouse this week. Sorry for the delay.

When you do an update, could you also let me know what Jacinta has to target and/or what modifiers are appropriate?

It's really too bad that we don't have a Huckster Dealin' with the Devil or we'd have more of those Jokers being drawn.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Can I just say I love the contrasts in this scene?

Heroic, awe inspiring Ranger:  "You must face justice for your crimes!"

Loathsome Anti-hero gunslinger: "I'm going to cut your head off so I can show it to your friends."

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

It is rather hysterical. Members of the posse are examining clues, searching for wounded, keeping watch on the street, and talking about just how dastardly the villains opposing them are.

Meanwhile, in front of the general store, Kate’s gearing up to re-enact a medieval execution.

In case any of you are interested, thought I'd share this:

A four part actual-play Deadlands game set in Deadwood by some of the Critical Role folks and friends. Not out yet so I don't know how it'll be, but they put out usually well produced, high quality stuff.

Soo...  Its unclear...  Is Kate standing there holding a head or not?  Is there a headless bloody mess on the store porch?  Not that Wayland would have too many issues (He's quite mad after all), but I just feel the /need to know/.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

If I’m not mistaken, our resident outlaw has forgone decapitating Evans...at least up to this point.

Okay, unless anyone objects, I’m going to proceed with moving the posse to Buckshot Roberts’ hideout later this evening.

In the meantime:

  • Everyone will receive two advances (10 experience points) for their participation in the battle at Blazer’s Mill. Please make sure you report your character progression using the audit trail format in the Character Experience and Awards thread.
  • Everyone should ensure that they draw as many adventure cards as are needed for them to be holding a total of three. Players can discard unwanted cards prior to making their draws.
  • Everyone should be holding five fate chips when we start the game’s next chapter. If you’re holding less than that, draw enough to put five in your hand. You also have the option of discarding some or all of your chips and making a fresh draw.

Indeed, Cooper was successful!  Kansas Kate is not indifferent to pageantry, but a moment of thought was enough to realize it wasn't going to have the effect she wanted so why bother?

For those concerned about regaining Power Points: the ride from Blazer’s Mill to the Apache encampment took just over three hours. However, while at the camp, characters will regain Power Points at the rate of one every fifteen minutes.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Before we go further, I wanted to get a little feedback from everyone regarding how to best proceed.

If most are primarily interested in jumping forward to the ascent into Capitan Pass, I can easily narrate the events leading up to that ride, such as the ride out to the Tunstall Ranch and requesting the assistance of the Regulators, and then proceed forward with the push toward High Lonesome.

However, if the group would prefer to role play the discussions with the Regulators, and any other matters of import, I can put that together as well. Please just let me know. I’ll go with whatever the majority voices as a preference.

My 2 bits' worth:

Double Kay does not trust The Regulators, but a lot of that has to do with the way she sees the world, and she's sure not going to hang back and babysit them.  So if we want to breeze over that I'm fine FWIW

I'm okay with either. Albert would take a role in talking with the Regulators (and also would likely talk with his uncle about things) but I don't think we need to necessarily play it out.

Took too long...

But, at least my vote was along the same lines. I'm gonna feel like I helped and was a part of it anyway.
