Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Albert Cooper:
I'm updating my character sheet after that last battle and want to be sure I know who still has bullets that Albert scribbled on. Last I had written, there were 2 loaded-for-bear with Jacinta, 1 with KK, and 2 that were labeled as TBD (Albert definitely kept and used 1).

Can y'all let me know if you used any of those magic bullets? And verify what you still think you have? Also, I think I may have passed one to an NPC (Bauer?). Please remind me if so and if it was used.

Still got my 2.  <3

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Albert, I cannot find in any of the threads I reviewed that Bauer expended the bullet you gave her. So I’m presuming that it is still in the deputy’s possession. She would certainly return it to you, if you have need of it.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

I do not have need of it, and since it's her bullet - probably best if fired from her gun. I just want to make sure I've got my accounting updated. I figure Albert will replace any bullets that were fired during downtime.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Marshal:
By way of explanation, I'm planning to run Dragon Heist, which is an urban centered adventure set in the colorful city of Waterdeep. Waterdeep is a rich setting, and as you might infer, while there will be some dangerous lairs and underground tunnels to explore, that's only one facet of the unfolding tale. The scenario has a real swashbuckling feel to it, and it provides a lot of opportunities for puzzle solving, social interaction, and role playing.

I'm working on putting the game together and expect to have it done in roughly a week to two weeks' time. As soon as it's ready for players, I'll drop a PM to those who were open to coming on board.

I wanted to update those that had expressed interest in Dragon Heist. Obviously, my original schedule for having the game ready didn’t come to fruition. I had some personal difficulties that came up over the last couple of weeks that really put a damper on my creative endeavors. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay.

I honestly expect to have everything finalized by this weekend, or the following Monday or a Tuesday at the very latest. I’ll make sure to drop a line to anyone who’s still interested in joining in at that time.

In reply to Albert Cooper (msg # 535):

Tamsin has had a magic bullet for a while now (since the church). I don’t know if that needs to be accounted for as well.

+1 from me. Sorry to hear things have been difficult, hope everything is headed in the right direction now.

It does need to be accounted for, yes. Until it's fired, anyway. Thanks for the reminder!

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Two things:

If most of the posse feels that their discussion with the Owl Mother is at a close, I can proceed with bringing the group down from the mountain and back into the Lincoln area. I know that the Owl Mother still wants to speak with Kansas Kate individually, but (provided the outlaw is even willing to have a conversation) that can be played out concurrently with the new scene in Lincoln.

Second, if anyone remains interested, the Fifth Edition Dungeons & Dragons game I’ve been working on behind the scenes is finally ready. If any of you would like to join in, just drop me a PM over there. I don’t need a full RTJ, just a note letting me know who you are.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Alright, there’s some final business to attend to before the posse departs High Lonesome and rides back to a Lincoln to put an end to a Murphy’s reign of terror.

I’m going to award everyone 5 XP for the courage they demonstrated on the ride up to High Lonesome, which will entitle each character to one advance. As before, please document your advances in the Character Experience and Awards thread.

Please note that this experience award will move all of the posse members to Veteran rank.

In addition:
  • Everyone should be holding a minimum of five Fate Chips. If you aren’t, be sure to draw enough chips to provide you with at least five. You also have the option of discarding any chips you’re holding and making a redraw.
  • I am going to throw another Legend chip into the pot, so make your draws with 1d36. Anyone who gets an exploded number has snagged it. Note that Bryan Lee can’t draw for the Legend chip because he’s already got one in his possession, and is, quite frankly, already badass enough.
  • Everyone should also ensure that they are holding four adventure cards, which means most of you will need to draw at least one card. In addition, you can discard any cards you don’t want to hang onto and draw new ones at this time.

One other piece of business - ironically enough, after making sure all the accounting has been done, Albert's going to need everyone to waste those bullets so he can recover PP and make the new, special, anti-Murphy bullets. He can only use half his PP for magic bullets (I assume he can use 8 with his new, higher total of 15). These new ones cost 2, so during the intervening time heading down to our final confrontation, he'll be asking people to raise their hand if they want one.

Re: The Thornton-Curry Saloon (OOC Thread)

Albert taking the extra power points edge has reminded me:

For the last two and a half years, I thought I was spending power points on healing skill rolls and I was concerned about what would happen if more than three people needed my attention. I don’t know where it got into my head because I don’t even have the Healing power, and I can see quite clearly that skills and powers are two separate things. I don’t remember what made it click, but I just laughed and laughed when I figured it out.

However, me thinking I needed more led me to become a shaman, which I wouldn’t have thought of, so I guess it was for the best that that point flew right over my head.

All good.

lol we need another Chapter I'm not sure what else to do with K2 right now other than ugly cry.

I apologize in advance ya'll she's going to be really annoying for a while, having... what's the opposite of an existential crisis?  Anti-existential security?

This is going to mess with her bad in a weird sunshine and rainbows way, KSK is a life or death duelist because everything is meaningless.  It's like a celestial unicorn just vomited its sugary, cinnamon colored breath into her soul.
