OOC1:
Hi there, I'm playing Eryn. She's a Fighter working as a sell-sword, wielding a spear and shield. Eryn usually protects commoners and merchants as they travel between cities and settlements, but is hopeful that one day she can be hired for something more grand and exciting. She's been traveling for most of her adult life, so I would potentially have her grab a Ranger move eventually. Apart from that I haven't fleshed out her backstory, since this game works best when the characters learn to know each other as they go. I was thinking she would be meeting with the group as part of a traveling caravan (if starting off slow) or after having met up with one of you for a mission/treasure hunt/being a bodyguard/whatever.
I have DM'd a short-lived Dungeon World campaign before. It went overall well, and we had a great time, but real-life scheduling conflicts sadly led to the player group being unable to get together anymore. I'm hoping a play-by-post game like this can keep it together for longer. :)
From what I know of Dungeon World there is usually no issue with multiple people playing the same class, especially since characterization and choice of moves usually leads to them being very different from each other anyway.
That said - if people want everyone to play different classes, I am fine with potentially changing Eryn to a Thief or Ranger.
An easy Bond to fill out could be "I have sworn to protect <blank>", as that is my character's supposed job. Being a bit cautious, "I worry about the ability of <blank> to survive in the dungeon." could also fit well if one of the other characters are a bit squishy (such as a wizard). The other two bonds suggested for Figther are "<blank> owes me their life, whether they admit it or not", and "<blank> is soft, but I will make them hard like me". Thoughts? :)
