This is our starting point.  Any who have read the Request to Join and Game Info texts should have a good idea of purpose and intent, so I'll keep the list here short and sweet:

• Neither "Adult" nor "Mature" content is welcome here.  We wish to encourage participation by folks of all ages who are interested in Traveller.
  
• If you must express profanity or obscenity, use the usual RPoL custom of substituting your favorite fruit or vegetable instead, please.
  
• Civility and courtesy are preferable to any of their alternatives.
  
• We should treat everyone here respectfully regardless of the various differences that may separate us.
  
• Even if the discussion becomes heated or passionate, we should be able to disagree without being disagreeable or nasty.
  
• As we go, the culture and etiquette may evolve.  As they do, this topic will be revised accordingly.

When your access is granted to the game, we assign you a Participant Number (as in Participant 1, Participant 2, Participant 3, etc.).

Feel free to create a "character" that has an alias you wish to go by here.

It occurs to me we should probably have an introductions thread so you folks can get acquainted with each other a bit better.  (I'm not assuming everyone already knows everyone else...)  Let me nip out and take care of that.
