Never played this adventure path.  It's your game.  Do what you want with your NPCs.

Re: Prelude limbo.....

I have never played kingmaker.

As for NPC.
Your talking to GM that made an ancient evil green dragon that turned senile.
He captured a princess which turned out to be male actor on stage playing princess role.
The poor PC end up being befriend by said dragon and now has to sort mess out.
With out using combat...

So yes give the NPC the a charter if it good for the game.

Re: Prelude limbo.....

Yes, but it lasted all of five minutes. The game ended after the bandit encounter at Oleg's.

Also, I have no objection to giving Oleg & Svetlana a charter. It's your world, do what you like. :)

For traits I took Rostlander and Veteran of Battle(Gorum). My character sheet is done.

Re: Prelude limbo.....

Yes, like Octavia, my experience ended during the first encounter.

Hmm, as to the charter, I guess I need to know more about what the implications of them having a charter are for us as players?

Re: Prelude limbo.....

Started it once a while back, didn't get past the first encounter after Oleg's.

I have no opinion on whether or not Oleg & Co. have a charter. What matters is that we, as a group, are chartered. As long as that is in good standing, so am I! :)

My two traits are not campaign ones - Devotee of the Green and Mathematical Prodigy.

They'll just be people that we can easily crush and take they're lands from them. Lol ;)

When you click on it, does everyone see Oleg’s trading post?

Re: Prelude limbo.....

I have through various times played and run Kingmaker. I am of varying degrees of familiarity to various encounters but every party and adventure is a new experience, imo. The farthest I have ever gotten in depth is about 1/2 through the first book.

I have no problems with NPC tag alongs :)

Anyway I am the Varisian Bard extraordinairre and while I am currently a vanilla bard there are plenty of archetypes I could quick pick up to help round out the party.

Just for my purposes the party seems to be....

Cleric of Gorum, most likely some kind of melee/tank build

Paladin of Erastil...are you going archer?

Elven Swordlord...so probably finesse/maneuver fighter.

Rogue skill monkey from the sound of it...

Elven Druid which can go any different way...

Which means that the party is actually pretty well rounded. Two primary casters, a couple of front line tanks, a skill monkey and support. I do beleive I can stcik to vanilla if my assessment is correct.

I'm happy with that. I've grown to loooove being a support caster. You make everyone else better and everyone is super friendly to you as a result :D

Re: Prelude limbo.....

There are two maps depending on where you click.

The Main Game Map is Oleg's Outpost
The Game 0 Map is the campfire.

You can select between the two at the bottom of the map screen.

Think of me as a spell weaver.  With few useful personal tricks, maker of magic items and party healer.

I have good new...  I ask the GM and the GM seems to have no problem with this.
I starting game with scribe scroll (I know that odd for druid) and will have 2 scrolls of cure light wounds with me.

Re: Prelude limbo.....

@Tatyana - Are you going social rogue at all or primarily focusing on Dex?

I am tempted to take Street Performer which forgoes Inspire Courage (we have plenty of clerics to cast Bless on us :P) to allow me to turn characters invisible.

Could accelerate your sneak attacks considerably but only if you're specc'd to combat.

SCRATCH THAT

I'm going full metal. Making a Thunder caller! Probably switching from Varisian to Shoanti...

basically gonna be this guy:

I must say, the church of Gorum is most pleased with the music of this thunder caller. Prehaps I could commission a Gorum themed a rock opera? Very metal, very awesome. :)

Just want to note, Gorum is a very metal god.

Re: Prelude limbo.....

Now now Razmatin Vulcovila, play nicely.

Nasty little boy that don't share their toy may find themselves turn into pet hamsters.
Or discover they have unreasonable fear/phobia of lighting or loud sounds.
Or even better find themselves on quest to perform in front of every major king in land as Snowwhite in white stocking, suspenders and filly lace kickers.

Or I could make you little present to ware.  My person favorite in this situation.

On the other hand she may just decide to kick the **** out of you herself !!

Upsetting a cleric of battle not most clever thing a bard can do..

Really, Desna? That elven butterfly...thats not metal. Be warn Raz, I would hate for you to have a....Bogus Journey. :)

I'm thinking about making a new character, as Octavia and Gorum are not going to get any play. Also with everyone playing elves or worshiping elven, gods, Octavia(oddly) as the odd one of the group...

Re: Prelude limbo.....

<joking>Sorry but I'm Varisian and Desna kinda comes with the territory...</joking>

In all seriousness I have actually run this game with a cleric to Gorum and it was a blast for her. This is a wilderness territory ruled by strength of will and might with the blade. There are plenty of opportunities for both battle and feats of strength and because of it's relative closeness to the Shoanti tribes plus the war-torn River Kingdoms Gorum is quite popular in the area.

The eventual idea was that the cleric would take over the position of General and that the armed forces of the kingdom would double as worshippers of Gorum.

Ultimately it is your call (duh) but I'd be happy to play with a cleric of Gorum swinging a sword any day.
