Information for any considering playing in my games

Please understand that I often play fast and loose with the rules and will give a full account in this thread for review before you decide to submit a character.

Race somewhat akin to a kender
Age M
Special Abilities N
Alignment TN
Deity Y
Location Kingmaker
Languages Y
Occupation PBP DM
Homepage URL Top Secret
About KenderKin
Known for saying this “I hope you realize how truly divisive and the antithesis of the community policy these stances are. For example leaving threads that begin offensively intact and only choosing to lock the thread when a dissenting voice or voices emerge, with the dissenters often enough simply cast aside and their efforts to inform or add opinion deleted and devalued (dehumanized)....by the people assigned to value everyone.
The community guidelines are all for cohesiveness and inclusion, but when it comes to it, we have divisiveness and exclusion. With no regard for truth, as it might contradict or hurt feelings.”

Has time sometimes.....

I play fast and loose with the rules, if something happens in the game (play-by-post), that you dislike/disagree with please send me a private message and we can discuss it away from the game-play thread and the out of character thread.

Play-by post has enough disruptions without "rules lawyering", since I use hero points most bad rolls/situations can be over-come with the application of a single hero point.

PBP
Play by post

Issue #1
"Us" and "them" initiative

US
Every PC rolls, highest rolled score becomes team initiative!
so on the PC's turn everyone goes....

THEM
Monsters get one initiative roll as normal added to the roll is a +1 for every monster of the same sort present....
20 goblins will win initiative!

Note: does not effect stealth or surprise rounds!

This sets a block of actions for PC's to post (in any order) and then (remaining) monsters to post as a "block".

Hit points
US
Full hit points per level

THEM
Also....

Issue #2
NPC RP availability.....

If I move the game forward and in your turn to post it seems the NPC is no longer there for you to interact with that is not the case!

If anyone wants to ask question(s) of any recent NPC feel free to do so. It will be "assumed" to have occured back at the first location, during the trip, or after arriving.

This can often happen because of the way I like to run PBP. As an example one NPC guides you to a location. I will post the trip and what that NPC says, also the location and what is there, introducing the second NPC and how he/she might greet you. This is supposed to help PBP go smoother, but not at the expense of RPing!

Interaction with NPC's (that is a hard one) If I present an NPC and you do not get an opportunity to interact....because I move ahead with a post that takes you to a new location just post something like....

Previously @ the Lucky Monkey
@Jenya
"So how did a cutey like you end up Lonely?."

Issue 3
I "hate" to bot anyones character.
- if you are away request a fellow PC bot you in their post
Also post in the time off thread

Issue 4 What is your AC?
Try and include "handy stats" with PC aliases so DM does not have to look up your info.
In the classes/level tab insert this information:
Witch / 8 // Init +5/ HP 49/49 // AC: 22/T:20/FF:15 - Percep: +5// F +3/R +7/W +6 /CMB +0 - CMD 13/ Speed 30

Issue 5 Maps/dungeon crawls
As far a dungeon crawl goes....I have been trying to place a "guide" or person that can get you to places that you "need" to hit for the campaign objectives...(to speed up crawling ;)

I think the map in tab works great, and lets you take a battle into any room, when I make a map, I feel like I am restricting the battle to the room in question, rather than allowing a more sensible approach (like falling back into a choke point.)

Issue 6 Area of effects
Attacks that cover areas I could do better knowing how large of an area a spell/effect/bomb covers, that should let me target(effect) the correct number of enemies and in general if it is the ones attacking or if you intend to do battlefield control by targeting current non-combatants.
example fireball @ (large nest and mamma spider)

Issue 7
Posts 1/day excluding weekends

Issue 8
Critical hits ie I rolled a 20! or ie I rolled a 1
If you roll a natural 20 congrats, I will double your damage for free...

If you roll something other than a 20, immediately roll to confirm and roll additional damage.

If you roll a natural 1....try and be more careful! ;)

Issue 9
Hero points (other re-rolls)
If you are using a hero point To add to or maodify a roll: I expect it to be applied either in the post the "poor" roll occured or within a "short" period of time afterwards.

Other persons helping a re-roll through an ability such as Fortune hex, can post they are using said hex, and make the new roll for the person!

Issue #10. How to know what I need to prep
Also in sandbox campaigns the team will be expected to explore in announced routes to aid the DM in knowing where the party is headed and when a return to home base is coming.

The Ayes have it!  If a majority of players agree the action begins. So three or more out of five or six PCs

Code of conduct

Please keep the following in mind at all times:

I reserve the right to remove players from the game at any time for any reason.

The following CoC to meant to bring more enjoyment to the game for all players.  Please read the CoC and abide by it at all times.

"Shamelessly stolen from Ao's God Game."
1) Do not state the phrase "Player/NPC X has been doing Y and I cannot tolerate it anymore. Something must be done about them or I'm leaving." This does no good. If the action happens, it means it was permissible by the rules. Anyone signing up for this game should be creative enough and flexible enough that they can have all their plans ruined over and over, but still think up ways to salvage the situation or something entirely new. If you have one vision for your Game and will not see it altered, then this is not the game for you.

2) Keep conflicts in character. I have no problem with players having feuds with one another, hell it makes things more fun. If the characters ill will spills into OOC then this becomes a problem. As a part of this pet peeve, do not ever state that you will now make your entire game goal be to undermine another player, I've seen it happen and it ends games. If your players do get into feuds with one another, do not escalate every attack. You could even try being subtle and invoke a plan that takes time to unfold instead of declaring "WAR". If I feel a player has become overly disruptive, then I will contact them via private message and ask them to reevaluate their methods, but my definition of disruptive might be different than the players being disrupted.

In the end, subtlety is fun, try it.

3). OOC Banter.  As a player you need to focus on staying neutral or being civil to each other.   Do not push me - I want a fun game and if I am not having fun then you will not be in it.

As issues come up the CoC may be modified as required.

Please also refrain from telling others how to play their character, alignment and any other time you might think someone else is doing it wrong.  Example telling a Druid that he/she would never burn down a tree/thicket to deal with a problem....
