Quests: ***** active.         $ coming upon return to Oleg’s
*****Svetlana's Ring

Source: Oleg Leveton, at Oleg's Trading Post

Task: Although his wife claims it’s not a big loss compared to what the bandits could have taken, Oleg knows the theft of her wedding ring has distressed her. She’s forbidden him from risking life and limb to recover it, but if anyone else can find the ring and return it to him, he’ll be very grateful.

Completion: Track down the ring. The bandits were the last to have it, but they might have lost or sold it already.

Reward: Oleg promises 1,500 gp in trading post credit if his wife’s ring can be recovered.

$$$$Wanted: Bandits

Source: Wanted poster at Oleg’s Trading Post

Task: The bandits in the Greenbelt need to be shown that their actions will not be tolerated. Capture or defeat at least ten of them to send a message.

Completion: Any ten bandits defeated completes this quest.

Reward: After the tenth such defeat has been reported, the Swordlords of Restov will authorize a bounty of 600 gold pieces.

$$$$$Moon Radish Soup

Source: Svetlana Leveton at Oleg’s Trading Post

Task: Svetlana would dearly love to have children one day, but Oleg’s been under a lot of stress lately, and they both aren't getting any younger. Svetlana is interested in preparing an old country remedy for such things. Unfortunately, the main ingredient (moon radishes) are relatively rare. A patch grows about 16 miles south of the trading post.

Completion: Bring Svetlana a basket of moon radishes.

Reward: Svetlana would like to keep this a secret from her husband, but she is ready to offer an old masterwork breastplate they found when they took up residence in the old stockade to anyone who can bring her enough moon radishes to make soup.

$$$$$Wanted: Falgrim Sneed

Source: Kesten Garess, at Oleg's Trading Post

Task: A mercenary that Kesten worked with months ago was a Varisian man named Falgrim Sneed.  Falgrim robbed his comrades as they slept and fled into the Stolen Lands to become a bandit, and Kesten hopes to capture him alive and return him to Restov for punishment.

Completion: Capture Falgrim Sneed, alive if possible.

Reward: Kesten can arrange a reward of six masterwork weapons of the capturer's choice if Falgrim is captured alive.  Dead, he is worth three.

$$$$$Wanted: Tuskgutter

Source: Wanted poster at Oleg’s Trading Post

Task: Every Greenbelt hunter has a story about Tuskgutter, each wilder than the last. Whoever manages to kill the ill-tempered beast will get a nice reward from old, retired Vekkel Benzen, who lost his leg to the monster pig a year ago.

Completion: Deliver Tuskgutter’s head to Oleg’s.

Reward: Vekkel has promised his masterwork composite longbow and six +1 animal bane arrows to whoever can kill Tuskgutter. He also promises to share the head cheese he plans to make out of this trophy.

****Temple of the Elk

Source: Father Jhod Kavken, at Oleg's Trading Post

Task: Seek out a lost temple of Erastil believed to be somewhere to the south of Oleg's Trading post.  According to Jhod, the site may be guarded by a large bear, and apparently something isn't quite "right" about the bear.

Completion: Locate the ruined temple, deal with the guardian, and guide Father Kavken there so that he may reconsecrate the site as an active temple of Erastil.

Reward: Jhod has promised to provide spellcasting services free to the party for life (with the exception of expensive material components, which the group must still supply).

 Head of a Tatzylwyrm
Source: Wanted poster at Oleg’s Trading Post
Task: The way everyone talks about tatzlwyrms, one might think they’re swarming throughout the Stolen Lands. This isn’t the case; they’re actually quite rare. A tatzlwyrm head would be a great conversation piece at Oleg’s. He has promised a reward for anyone who can deliver one.
Completion: Slay a tatzlwyrm and deliver its head.
Reward: Oleg will pay 600 gp for a relatively undamaged tatzlwyrm head.

Kobolds in the Hills
Source: Wanted poster at Oleg’s Trading Post
Task: The Sootscale kobolds dwell in a cave somewhere in the Kamelands. Normally not a problem, they’ve been riled up by something lately.
Find their lair and ensure that the kobolds aren’t going to continue being a threat.
Completion: Either slay the kobolds or forge an alliance of peace with them.
Reward: The swordlords send a reward of 800 gp once the kobold activity is under control.

Gathering Fanberries -
Source: Crazy old Bokken
Task: Bokken’s something of an eccentric, but he knows how to make delicious potions. His secret is an additional ingredient, fangberry juice, but he’s running low. A large thicket of fangberries grows about 55 miles southwest of Oleg’s.
Completion: Bring Bokken enough berries to make fangberry juice for seven potions.
Reward: Bokken gives the PCs a 25% discount on any 7 potions.
Improves attitude by one step.

TACTICS
________________________________________________
Before Combat if entering a dungeon or predicting other obvious confrontations, Jhod casts barkskin on himself well in advance, as well as shield of faith if there is time.
During Combat (nonlethal) Jhod tries to keep the community together by defusing hostilities by casting calm emotions. If a fight still breaks out, he tries to contain the violence with entangle, using his merciful arrows if needed.
During Combat (lethal) Jhod first cast prayer unless the encounter starts with some distance between the party and the enemy, in which case he favors entangle. He follows with divine favor then uses his bow to his best ability, using his Channel Energy ability and restorative spells and abilities when needed. If engaged in melee, he 5-foot steps back to continue using his bow if he can, or uses his plant domain power to strike his opponent if not.
Morale If reduced to 10 hit points or fewer, Jhod sacrifices one of his prepared 2nd- or 3rd-level spells to cure him if he is not in melee. If he is, he favors Channel Energy.
