Octavia watches Tauron and his speaking in bird.  She scowled humorously at the slim man.  "Is that the High Brevoy Poultry dialect or Southern Galtian Sparrow?"

Tauron turns back to Octavia.
No your wrong on both accounts.  It the don't up set the bird because if you do my Mistress will turn you into a Big fat Toad, Dialect.

At which point he get some bird food out of his pouch which normally he feed his swan and offers it to the crow.

I still cannot get use to Octavia having a sense of humor.
Don't get me wrong I like this personally of Octavia far better then other two she had.

Filarion asks for a simple meal with a small amount of meat and heavy on vegetables. Though he has been living with humans, his pallet hasn't changed much.

"Tell the bird to let Oleg know to cook a thick slab of meat for me," Octavia says, before realizing what came out.  She turns to squint slightly at Filarion, as if daring him to comment.

The bird pecks at some of the food and flutters around trying to decide to stay or leave....

"I don't know why you make such requests for food.  Svetlana is a good cook and we should be grateful that she cooks for us at all.", Drez grumbled.

He sat quietly on his horse as it pawed the ground nervously.

Mikmek snorts as a whisp or smoke curls out of his right nostril.

He looks over the plains....

From what I understand they are building up their numbers to take down Oleg' fort.

The next part of the journey in fact brings you closer to the fort, but you see no signs of increased riders or bandits anywhere in this vicinity....

Octavia urges her companions to speed. "If that bird message is true, then the Staglord may be coming to us.  At least that saves us the effort of hunting him down," she says with a grim smile.

Roddy is ok to travel and he agrees that returning to the far away temple is a good idea.  Crackjaw accompanies the group at Mikmek’s side.

Oleg’s trading post is in the distance a new red banner flies overhead and the place is more busy than you have ever seen it.

The men at arms can be seen on the walls watching.
When you get close enough you believe you hear someone ringing a cowbell

You approach the men on the parapets recognize you and call out

“It is as you said mistress the heroes return!”

Octavia raises her hand in response to the bells, noticing the guards watching them approach.  "I feel we will not have much rest ahead of us," she remarks to the group as they approach.

"Only the dead get to rest, Octavia." , Drezghl replied.

Roddy is the only one who still looks like he needs a rest though no one is sure what is in store for him.
He talks to Mikmek

The Druid mite seems to just stop and he chitters a bit before Mikmek explains

The gates are now on proper hinges and swing open in welcoming....

Filarion trots up on Linta till he's within comfortable telling distance and calls out, "We have returned. What's going on with the new banner?"

Octavia notices the changes in the gates.  Filorian asks the question on her lips, so she waits for the answer as she dismounts, walking her horse forward.
