Re: OOC discussions, commentary, and suggestions
Okay we've had our first two GM-LOLs and so I'm announcing a new policy, metagaming be damned: Make the GM laugh, giggle, snerk, snort, or gasp and your character gets an immediate Inspiration awarded (if you already have Inspiration, then gain a Hero point)

Jack:
"Release the mutton! "

Tremor Enkau Valevine:
If this meant going into the sewer, hard soled boots might help, a blistering pox of blackened sorcerous Khyber leeches upon the thing that would make plunging his soft boots into...

< cascade of images of bowel movements from Giants to Gnolls >

Inspirations awarded: Jack and Tremor Add 'Inspiration' near your Hero Points section of the character sheet. Use Inspiration as a Hero point, or trade it to another character.

*bows*

Thank you very much! :) I actually made myself laugh with that one.

And I agree with Tremor's poo-post too. He made me laugh with that, as well as this:
quote:
...that campaign would require treats.

And I don't know if it was intentional, but 'Hard tack soup' got an involuntary snork.

Chance gets Inspiriation.

Re: OOC discussions, commentary, and suggestions
Thanks it wasn't planned but something I have made myself with jerky instead of Tack.

Shaved and cut the jerky into pieces put it in boiling water to create a broth and added whatever was at hand.

If it was intentional would of said something like Making hard Tack soup, as he cuts up an old leather saddle. Dropping it into the boiling water to soften up, the dried horse sweat is a bonus to offer up a unique spice for these lousy wharf rats who have tried to kidnap me.

Some 'meta' info about the game

I wish I could take all the credit...

But this campaign is the fusion of two resources: the D&D 3.5 Stormreach book for Eberron, and the Razor Coast module. Putting them together is weirdly easy, and there seems to be a nice synergy in the settings.

Anyhow that's where the source ingredients come from; I'm just the chef.

I picked up the My Little Pony game out of curiosity; someone had once mentioned reskinning Mythender to do that.

I don't think this version is a reskinned Mythender.

This is as close as I am likely to come to seeing Tom Hanks live:

It could be worse, I could be under Jack's command with no mutton to eat.

next she will be feeding those sea monsters Wolves in sheeps clothing when the mutton runs out.

Re: OOC discussions, commentary, and suggestions
I am continuing to experiment with internet technology: try this:

Theme Music
This is my pick for theme music for Tremor's thread Becalmed in Stormreach;
right click to open in another tab, then click play, then read the adventure.

Most of the time we can link to youtube for themesongs , but sometimes the song is not available on you tube.

But if you host it on Drive then we can link to that.

Excellent idea, thanks! I updated Jack's description page to replace the YouTube links with Drive links.

What about the direct link option?

RPOL does not recognize the iframe src code.

What do you mean by a direct link option? As in, playing music within a post? That would be nifty. :)

On a different topic, I thought this was interesting:
https://on.natgeo.com/2yEABqe:
"Other than hardtack and salt beef, the closest we may get to a genuine pirate dish today is salmagundi, loosely described as a 'salad', and consisting of a random hodge-podge of ingredients, generally a scrambled concoction of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits."

You ought to look up the origin of 'buccaneer.'

I've removed Samuel from the game; he's not been here for a month.

What should we do with the missing sailor?

  1. Shark bait
  2. Overboard
  3. __________

Well, if he was on Jack’s ship, I might suggest ‘Olaus-bait’. ;)

Bummer losing a player, though.

You can't lose someone if they were never truly yours.

But you can eat them...
