Could the people who aren't sneaking get there faster with a roll of Athletics?

Re: OOC

Not really.

As you start moving we are using combat moves.  So normal move and action or Normal move and DASH.

'Sneakers' just got a normal move for now.

I want everyone to know I greatly contemplated my post, Berethor is young and brash, so I played into that. Don’t worry though I have tactics and strategy, though we all know the Dice can tell a different story, hears to hoping this goes well.

In reply to Berethor (msg # 465):

Lol, no worries! As long as you don’t mind lots of IC eye rolling behind you!

Sometimes it is fun to RP the character as you think they would behave, not how you would advise them...!

Re: OOC

Questions on range combat v horsemen:

- Any modifiers for them moving at speed?
- Is horse and rider classed a Large creature? And if so any modifiers to hit a large target?
- If they are close together, can you just fire into the mass of riders with a bonus to hit, and them roll randomly to see which rider/horse you hit?

Re: OOC

LM - what is the terrain like please? I'm presuming that the path is fairly hard, dry compacted earth as it has wagons travelling on it and the approaching horses were creating a dust cloud but what is it like either side of the path? Open grassland or something else?

Thanks.

Valtharr: I don't think so, but I'll review my rule books when I get home from work.  (Anyone else that knows can pipe in)

Thalanir:  Open, rolling hills,  The only cover is tall grass and scrubs.  It is relatively dry right now.

You are about 5 km from the Anduin to your west and 15-20 km from Mirkwood on your east.  You are following a well used trail; its the same one that the wagon train is using (The 'Erringmen').

Tweak to distances- I had moved Thiriswin and Asgrim too far forward-moved them back to 320

To Valtharr (Forgot to respond)  No bonus to hit large or clusters.

Gundri/Perrin,

Are you trying to move to the slaver wagons or the Caravan (Ones being attacked)  If its the slaver wagons I'll fix the distances-in my mind you were hedaing to help the cravan, until Gundri's last post.

Re: OOC

Happy with that attack! I decided to choose a target at random and luckily managed to hit the lead riders horse and do some decent damage. A shot on a rider would have missed!

GM, to clarify, what weaponry do the riders have?

Re: OOC

A quick game mechanics question - does the Song of Slaying from Thiriswen have to be used on the first attack or can I choose as a player when to use it?

I ask because I rolled a natural 1 on Thalanir's first attack so I'd rather save the bonus from Song of Slaying to another attack........

Thanks for any info.
