Yes, you have a clip of witch bolt ammo.

Time for the oath, I believe.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

So oath wise.

While i think looking at the nature of the mission Detrum would be a logical choice we are to diverse to make a guns only squad mode choice worthwhile. And the benefit isnt that good either.

Oath of Glory gives us a varied choice of squad modes and bonus renown. Kurba being tactical(?) and Kyros could lead this one.

Oath to the emperor i like as its +10 wp but thats only nice for me.

Astartes makes a nice varied one but we should start using squad modes then.

Leaving knowledge out as i led last time and Hrothgar also has led already so giving others a go first unless you don't want that. Then the +10 vs orks is again a nice bonus.

How much req boss?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

I'm more than happy for someone else to be team leader. I've no interest in hogging the limelight. I'll post IC once we know what's going on, just to make it look like a decision from the substitute coach.

I'm not so interested in being leader on this one.  I'll take it if that's what the group wants, but I was thinking Kubra maybe.

Also, I'm thinking flamers are bad for this one, m'kay. Unless that is, we want to go down in a literal blaze of glory.

Heavy bolters though. I can fill the need for a flamer if it comes to that.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Um. Requisition. Yes.
I was sort of assuming you had your DW Era gear and were adding to that, or refunding it for its Req value.

Yeah that's basically what I'm talking about.  I mainly want to get a Power sword and some other gear maybe.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

I took a las cannon on the last mission. And we got +5 req for the next mission at x-mass.

So 50 req then.

So Kurba or Detrum one of you want to lead? Thne we can pick an oath.

In reply to Brother Arkio (msg # 31):

If we're looking to use Squad Mode I'm a pretty good choice, I have Tactical Expertise and enough unspent XP to buy Strike Team Specialist.

Off to review Squad Modes...

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

So my 50 points of Req.

04 Astartes Harness
03 Grapnel
20 Cameleoline cloak
10 Vox Caster (so we  can keep i ntouch with the ship)
12 Auspex
01 Chrono

Do we want to take a muliti melta to melt through bulkheads?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Kyros' Requisition (50)

Astartes Power Sword 20
Astartes Assault Shotgun 7
Astartes Grapnel 3
Astartes Harness 4

I think we should get a Multi Melta, but held on by someone else.  Kyros usually flies through the breach.

I'll donate 16 points to anyone else's use, or for a team purchase, unless there's some gear that everyone on the squad should individually have.

Or maybe a breaching augur for Detrum? Works as well. If need be i can give up my cloak.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Aside from fluff the only real advantage Detrum would have has leader is the ignore jams. We already confirm RF on aliens and he doesn't have the fellowship for a lot of squad abilities. But I'm up for trying, or going in as second in command. Though I think Bulkhead Shears would be a better choice then augur, cutting would probably be better then drilling.

Just in case anyone hasn't noticed, I thinknwe might have lost our Devastator. I can pick up a Heavy Bolter, unless someone has a plan for a noisy scythe?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Yeah devastators tend to go poof in training. A heavy bolter would be nice i think. That and my smite/avenger should do well against the hordes we expect to run into.

As for leading. The mission has your name all over it and you and Kurba are the only two who havent led yet(and i believe Kyros made it clear he doesnt feel like leading) So just let us know if you wanna give it a go (We could take the bonus renown oath as its a lot better then the no jams imho)

As for what you wanna use to open the bulkheads your the tech marine your call ;-) I think a multi melta is even in our budget now and its also great for microwaving orks. Depends if you are better up close or at range i guess.

Req:
17 Bulkhead Shears
13 Siege Auspex
05 Cartograph
04 Astartes Harness
---
39, 11 to pool

Don't think we have the renown for witch bolts. If we can I think everyone should take a harness, in case we need to drop down a shaft in an emergency.

As a result of your Librarians extremely successful prediction, you can have a single clip of witch bolt ammo.

I think heavy bolter, it'll be less likely to accidently crack/explode a container with a stray shot.

If we already have bulkhead shears, I think the Melta is redundant, go with the Heavy Bolter.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

I vote Heavy Bolter as well.

I can take the Witch Bolts. We have the Req and Renown for a Plasma Combi Bolter - worth the investment for that one shot? I was thinking of taking a Plasma Gun for the Pen against tougher armored Greenskins but the Witch Bolts require a Bolter. I'm happy with a bolt gun, make no mistake, so it's just a question of Combi or not.

As for leading, I'll do it. Fellowship is 54, Command is at +10 with Tactical Expertise and Strike Team Specialist we should have access to a wide variety of Offensive Squad Modes.
