No-one ever said the Empire were the good guys. Except, well..the Empire.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

I usually say the Empire is the worst example of governance in the galaxy.  And without it, humanity would be in a far worse state.

It's the worst...except for everything else.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

That was always the Emperor's point. "I am a brutal dictator, but it is because it is necessary. There is no other option that allows humans to survive."

The veracity of that statement is, as yet, unverified...

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

You are about thirty meters from the trukk. You are about fifteen meters away from the nearest part of the horde.

Might be a few days before I can respond.

Is there a way to skirt the horde to get to the trukk?

They're all around it, but they're not a close - packed phalanx. They are just milling around until they get an action. Moving through them will require a check to shove them aside or deke through them.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

From the way the hallway is described,  it seems like the entire floor is one big conveyor belt.   Are we standing on the belt too, or is there stationary floor lining the hallway?  Also, how fast is the belt moving, and which direction (relative to our insertion point)?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

There are thin walkways on either side, about two meters across.
There is a thin ribbon of stationary floor, about a meter across, between two conveyor belts.
They are both moving 'forward,' towards your destination, at about walking pace.
They are perpendicular to your insertion point.

Which way do we need to go to get to the first fuel dump?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

You would need to go along with this conveyor belt, towards where the orks were headed.

Before I fly off, is there a particular horde or target I should hit Kubra.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

The horde between us and the fuel. Oath of Glory is objective based and we don't have a ton of time or resources to invest in fighting orks. We need to get the fuel and get on with getting back to the rest of the Chapter.

This mission is going to be a struggle between choosing whether to fight or keep moving. You will have to manage the threat, but also keep accomplishing your objectives.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Can I suggest Xander hits the trukk with his Heavy Flamer? Since its open topped, it should cook the driver and anyone else crazy Orkish enough to clinging on to it. I'll turn the Heavy Bolter on the horde between us and the objective.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

So this just clicked.

quote:
While this power is active, the psyker and a number of allies equal to his PR within range of the psyker gain a +10 bonus to one roll each Round. In addition, due to his ability to see attacks before they are coming the psyker himself adds +5 x PR to all Dodge and Parry Tests.

+10 to one roll. It doesn't mention what sort of role. So technically we could add this bonus to the (horde) damage roll? That makes this power as scary as some of the other powers that are as expensive to cast.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

I'm going to call baloney on that interpretation.  No same GM would allow that logic, because then you could end up with hordes of guardsmen followers shooting lasguns with the force of an Astartes Heavy Bolter, and the game balance goes out the window.  The first enemy Psyker we cross who used that power would TPK us faster than you can say "roll Perception".
