Just to get this right in my head. We are standing next to a massive tank of fuel and got explosive weapons and fire at the ready.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

I take it promethum isn't supposed to be green. Does it look like there's something fouling it from in the room or is it coming from the pipes green?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

It's been adulterated by something. You were in a room a bit ago where it was being diverted from the pipes, and it was still fuel then. It's coming from the pipes green.

I'm assuming this is something Detrum would tell us. If so, is it time to go valve hunting?

YEah at this point i think its time for the techmarine to take the active lead and tell us what to kill and what to blow up and where we shoulnd't be putting explosive shells into.

I'm about to update, I've had a busy week. There's no need for further perception checks.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

The Dentrites attack in melee right? Considering dropping the bubble in favor of either the +10 for everyone within 20 meters or being able to move and attack again.

So can I see what needs to be done/where to make sure we don't blow up the unconaminated fuel while still dealing with the cauldron?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Yes, the dendrites are all in melee.

The fuel is being pumped in from outside this room. If you mess up this room entirely, you will not break the Important fuel lines.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Questions.

Are those two that hit Kyros ones that he basically didn't parry (I assume he was attacked more than once)?

And based on the description, is he grappled?

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Kyros was attacked more than once. I was under the impression that because they did so well that 1 degree of success didn't parry them. Either way he isn't grappled.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Actually for Deathwatch, the DOS isn't a factor for the parry or dodge.  Pg 242, Make a Challenging (+0) WS test, if successful the attack is considered missed.  Same for Dodge.

In Only war and Black Crusade you need more DOS for when an attacker has things like Lightning Attack and stuff.  However he would soak the damage anyway.

I'll post up his response in a bit, thanks.

Re: Into the Black Unknown: OoC

Yeah you just have to succeed for each attack that hits regardless of DoS. But luckily you only have one of those so it quickly becomes an overwhelming thing when numbers come into play.

Kyros is being uncharacteristically slow at this.  Basically he doesn't know what's best to do next.  Should he just go after the Dok or the tendrils?
