Chos' Dream
Chos
Chos returns to her quarters, drained from the events of the day. As she lays down to rest, something flickers. In her things, the Jedi Holycron opens and begins to glow with increasing intensity. Blissfully unaware, Chos drifts off gently to sleep as a soft, golden light bathes the room.
Chos’ dreams are remarkably vivid this evening. One in particular stays in her mind even after she wakes. Chos stands on a smooth section of rock overlooking a river. The current flows steady and swift. Not intimidating but inviting.Ahead, the river parts, diverging in three, seperate directions. Each fork distinct.
To the left the river flows wide. The smell of sea salt drifts on the air. Chos can glimpse the life teeming under the bright, blue water. Schools of fish flow with the current, Otters play on the water’s surface, clams and oysters lie unopened on the river bed. The current is strong, broken only by the riverbed’s rocky outcroppings. Under the water, something catches Chos’ eye. A large, lustrous pearl sits inside an opened oyster, undisturbed by the thriving marine life.
Chos’ gaze shifts to the right. There, the river becomes narrow, focused. The water is clear with few interruptions, the current gentle and steady. Turtle’s bob along the river’s surface. Plant life flourishes on the river’s bank. On a lily pad Chos spots a glowing golden crystal. The stone bobs and dips with the river’s current but never strays from the lily pad’s center.
Chos looks to the river’s center. There, the current slows, the river becoming a stream. Water slowly runs over the riverbed. The riverbank is damp but empty. Plant life is sparse, a few insects fly about the sandy riverbank. The hot sun beats down, reflecting off of the stream’s surface. Peeking from the sand, Chos spots a peculiar blue stone that seems to glow with heat.
Chos stands atop the rock, observing the forks. Somehow, Chos knows she may only choose one. The rock at her feet begins to shift, shake. Slowly the stone begins to tilt dipping toward the river. Pebbles slide off into the water and Chos knows she is soon to follow. She braces for impact and jumps.
Chos wakes suddenly, sitting up in her bunk. The room is as she left it aside from a particular, waning glow. The light comes from her pack and, slowly, Chos realizes it’s source. You must choose padawan. A comforting, female voice enters Chos’ mind. Her words are thought rather than heard. Which fork will you take?
Chos gains two ranks in craft(lightsaber) and may choose a crystal to pursue.
