Just a rough looking saw mill slat building with a sawdust floor, a dimly lit interior and a few battered tables and chairs.  It's the type of place said to have a lot of atmosphere, if there was just enough light to see it. The sounds of hushed conversations fill the place along with the smell of cheep beer.

Now then, its time for a brief history lesson.  Since the nights of the comet and the advent of what are known as The Harbinger's Children it has been determined, in the United States at least, that all such Children are entitled to the full protection offered by established anti discrimination laws.  It should be noted however that Law is not public opinion and the law has been known to turn a blind eye toward certain events.  A Child being beaten by a mob may be overlooked. In meatspace, I work overnight (EST/GMT-5) and spend a lot of time frittering away on the internet, so I am often available for faster-paced scenes during that time.

I think Pixie is pretty resigned to other people eating animals. If you start talking about actually *hunting* them, that might be a problem... Earwigs in your breakfast cereal awkward.

I hope there is plot, as pure sandbox tend to fizzle after a couple of weeks. But from what i have seen from our GM, they're probably very good at coming up with plot. And I do that semi-professionally (I co-run a larp company, and people give us money, and stuff.) So I could chip in if needed!

Am I restricted from coming up with an ecological catastrophe for Salmon to be experiencing?  I.E. does the GM want to say what it is or am I free to announce that the snakeheads have grown legs or some such?

LARP Con 2018 is concluded, and it was amazing. Running a game for anyone who wants to play, from anywhere, without knowing them... could be stressful. This time it was truly EPIC, amazing bunch of players. But so very tiring!

After that I returned to and stuck with running my small games of Don't Rest Your Head and Nobilis. ;-)

Chili has been simmering for 3 days now. ;)  added the last batch of chilies this morning.

I can't feel my tongue or the roof of my mouth anymore...

I grew my own chillis for a while. I have dried husks of face melting death in jars. Before drying, I nibbled one, and got a blister on my tongue. The fumes from slicing them sort of burned my nostrils. I am terrified of ever cooking with them...

There's a store in the nearby town called Puckerbutt that sells stuff made from the Carolina Reaper, which is a hell-forged hybrid of a couple of godawful peppers.  They have a salsa that is just called "I Dare Ya, Stupit."

I myself am very sensitive to capsaicin, and just walking past the store when they are cooking up a batch is sufficient to start my airways closing up.  My son had to wait outside while we were buying gifts for family members who are bugnuts because he started coughing and tearing up just from being in the store.

I like Spicy but that does not need to mean melt your face hot. I want the flavor more than the burn but i don't object to the burn as long as the flavor is there.

now I have a headache from out of tune music. :P

I am interested in any feedback or suggestions for the game that anyone may have. I admit to not being an expert at this and I want the game to be fun for everyone.

However don't expect me to respond to every post unless I feel it is needed to move things forward.  I would really like this game to be a roleplay driven game with me providing plot points and potential points of conflict but I am not going to force any player into getting involved.

I'm having a blast so far! Can't wait to cross paths with some of the other player characters, though. I forsee culture shock!

I'm still cycling my brain, so I wanted you to know that it's all on me that I've been so slow. You gave me an interesting plot hook and I just need to work up the strength to write to it!

So far so good, and crossing paths with Radio was entertaining too

I might need an interaction soon.  The town mechanic/garage/junkyard owner.  Haven't decided yet if she's going to try and get the car fixed or if she knows already that it's hopeless.  I'll let you know when I decided.  :)

How flexible is time, and how frequent will movement forward be?  I'm planning to have Radio out in the field for a bit, but that would be best set in the afternoon, when he's had time to get bored.  Are we moving forward by days, weeks, just by hours, only when and by how much GM says so...?

The various wilderness-flavored characters can feel free to drop by when it's going.

I mean, I'mma go do it and the GM can delete if it's not coo, 'cause otherwise it'll be tomorrow night afore anything gets done.

Judging time in these games as you may know can be a bit of a challenge.  While a simple conversation that may only take 5 to 10 minutes if actually held face to face  can end up taking several days of back and forth posting other events that could take hours can be covered in one or two posts.  What I try to do as the GM is determine which events in the game have taken the longest in real time to actually complete and determine time of day based upon that.

Right now my pace setter are the events taking place at the Butter Burr, one, because they could be significant to the plot and two, because I have a pretty good idea of what time in the morning they would have started and how long it would have taken them to progress to the current point.  Given that, by my closest guestimate the time is now around 9:30 - 10:00 am.

Some events such as the Saveway scene may be slightly behind this time stamp

Quick note: I am away from Friday morning to Sunday night. I may have access to the internet - or may not. Any posting will be of necessity sporadic at best.

i'm gonna hold off posting my first post because I'm gonna be in vacation for 2 weeks starting tomorrow night and I don't know if I'll be able to post during this time... I'll be back around the 24th and I'll be posting then.

Sorry for the no post weekend.  things were a bit hectic

I amhome and will try to catch up on RPoL stuff. I spent the weekend being a cackling necromancer with a skull for a face, and then I turned into a massive necromantic caterpillar. As one does.

I may have accidentally created something awesome last night.  I didn't feel much like cooking but I had some bomeless/skinless chicken breasts in the fridge I had to use.  Now understand these were the Jenna Juggs or Tina Towers of chicken Breasts, we are talking massive. I cut each one into separate breasts then split each of those through the middle and still ended up with an almost 8 ounce piece of meat.  I double dredged each piece of meat in seasoned flour, egg wash and seasoned flour again and set them aside to dry for a bit (it pulls moisture from the meat, sets the breading and helps form a nice crispy crust that won't just fall off). I had a bag of sweet chilis in the fridge so I cut them into rings and diced half an onion and fine chopped about 5 cloves of garlic.

After pan frying the chicken i fried the chilis/onions/garlic in the same pan until they all softened.  While that was happening i buttered some sourdough bread and grilled it on both sides until it was all toasty and brown.

I mixed the chili mix into a carton of sour cream along with some ranch dip mix I had laying around and a cup of shredded Asiago cheese.

Spread sour cream mix on toast, add a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato and top with chicken. AWESOME!

And what's sad is that's what I came up with when I didn't want to cook. :P

I could definitely be down with that. :)

OK, quick update. I have spent the past two days bouncing in and out of hospital with suspected appendicitis. They've released me, but I am still considereed at risk, and may have to go back in for surgery if things relapse. Also, I am away Friday through until Monday, and may well be without internet.

Also, it's my birthday. Whee! Gimme cake!

Not a fun thing, been there, done that.  If you need to take time for recovery do whatever you need.

OH, word of advice, don't go on a twenty mile horse ride three days after surgery.  just sayin.

LOL!  I don't have my appendix anymore so I don't have to worry about that.  But I don't recommend needing to have 1/3 of your colon removed.  Colon cancer sucks.  I mirror The Narrator's advice.  ;)

As it happens, I came very, very close, as I had another attack while at the LARP, and have been in serious recovery since Saturday night. Surgery more or less avoided, still possible, but I seem to be slipping into remission, thank the gods. I'm travelling tomorrow to see family for some convalescence, and shall have full access again, and can post in abundance then. Sorry to have held stuff up so much. Posts shall begin again once I get to destination tomorrow, I hope!

Just a heads up for everyone, I rmailed Terrance and Kieran to find out if they were still interested in the game.  I have not heard back from Kieran but Terrance has asked to be removed so I will be working him out of the story line somehow and making him an NPC at least for the short term. I am going to NPC Kieran for the short term to keep the story moving but will be working him into the sidelines unless I hear back from him soon.

Sorry, I've been a bit distracted last few days.  I'm trying to do the trim work in part of the house but I couldn't find any moulding/trim that I liked at the stores so I decided to make my own.  That meant I needed to by a tablesaw and a router, then i realized I needed a router table. I got that built and realized that unless I had some means of dust collection I would fill up the whole house with saw dust so i went and bought a big shop vac. That worked great for about thirty seconds then the filter clogged up so I had to come up with some form of separator to go in line with the vacuum. Fortunately I had a 50 gallon drum with a removable lid handy so a few holes cut with a jig saw, some PVC pipe and a few tubes of RTV silicon and that is sorted out, works damn well too (GO ME!) but at every stage it has been a case of make the gadget to build the tool to do the job so the actual work can get done.

I think I'm finally ready, now I just have 500 board feet of lumber to cut to width and length, route, sand, stain and install. Piece of cake...I'm such an idiot.

I have just finished cleaning up non active characters in the game just so we don't have the deadwood.  Do you think we should see about bringing in some more players to replace them or just keep it small for now?

I think the main question is do you want to (and have time to) juggle extra players?
If the answer is yes, then bump the player's wanted ad, and if the answer is no or maybe then leave it.

The B&B and the frogs are both places she currently wants to avoid (possible police presence at both, and looking after people who got to do the interesting thing she wanted to do which is not her style at the B&B)

She sort of hasn't encountered any other places/plot hooks, so could feasibly wander anywhere else and bump into anyone

I don't think Cody and Maggie are that far away from you, but not sure of the GM's plan.

it's that little pile of sliced pink stuff they put on your plate at some asian restaurants.  It is good for settling the stomach and dealing with nausea.  in fact in most people it has been shown to be more effective than Dramamine or other motion sickness drugs

Sorry for the slow posting rate, last few weeks have been not good but I think things are looking up.

I'm still stuck up with the EMTs, is that were Melanie popped up or is she down at the other side of the river bank with Cody and Officer Kenndle?

Melanie flew across to where Cody and Office Tightbuns are waiting on the bank.  You would probably arrive at about the time she is crossing the river as you were not that far behind them.

Busy weekend, but I got most of the tractor shed rebuilt after the winter nearly destroyed it.  Also got the garden planted, hope it does good.  Three types of tomatoes and lots of peppers and chilies. Also planted about 5 varieties of basil and oregano. I hope to make lots of salsa and chili sauce.

On a fun note, the local museum is doing a steampunk display for the next few months and the Wife and I are working on some costumes to wear when we go to see it.  I want to build a great big gun with lots of tubes, gauges, valves and blinky bits that attaches to a large backpack and when you pull the trigger it blows bubbles. I considered a backpack mounted Tesla Coil but decided that might be dangerous.  It might cause someone to lose cell phone coverage.

I play in a fairy tale based larp. I actually play Queen Mab, which is amazing fun, as being evil and malevolent is always a giggle. We have an AMAZING Tinkerbell. The player is over six feet tall, and made the most accurate costume you can imagine, even the wig. She only speaks in jingles or whistles. And is either really lovely, or a total psychopath, as she can't have two things in her head at once. Tinkerbell, wielding a wickedly sharp dagger, shivving someone from behind on a whim... Everyone got utterly horrified, except me. I gave her sweeties for keeping me entertained...

She can be a FAST bundle of anger and potential violence. :)

Tomorrow, Saturday, is the opening day of the open general fishing season around these parts.  It is also Memorial weekend and the start of the camping season.  For many this is a bigger holiday than Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and the Super Bowl all rolled into one.  That makes today the equivalent of Christmas Eve.  I expect it to get very drunk out.  If you are in the US and you celebrate Memorial Day please enjoy your long weekend.  If you don't celebrate Memorial Day then have a good weekend anyway.

Just wanted to let you know that I haven't overclocked a rubber potato and I'm in the process of replenishing my slide dinkle arm to compensate for non linear galvanic defragmentation.  My God! OK, I'll admit this might be a bit of a rant and I can understand if none of you have an opinion on it but i find it very frustrating.

I know a person online who claims to be homeless in the fact that that they do not own a home or rent an apartment but live in a small camper that they park where ever they can for however long they can. From what they have said they used to be a teacher and they still have their certificates.  They are always going on about how poor they are and how hard it is for them to find a job because they are homeless and they are always asking for money. The work they can get is menial labor for minimum wage or less if they are being paid under the table. They are currently about 500 miles from where I live.

I am not the type of person that goes around giving out handouts but I am more than willing to give a person a hand up.  I have told this person on several occasions that the place my Wife works is looking to add 60 new employees by the first of November. It is a call center for a credit union, customer care, no sales work or cold calls or debt collection.  It is Office work in a very good environment, paid vacation, paid sick leave, full benefits, $14.00 hour starting out with good incentives and bonuses (my wife makes about $400 a month just on incentives and bonuses).  They also give full pay for the one month of training they have for the job.

I have told this person that I would help them move up here if they were accepted to work there.  at least turn in an application and resume'.  All they will do is offer excuses as to why they can't do it and then complain again about how bad life sucks.

Am I screwed up for thinking that their life sucks just because they won't make an effort to make it better

Got to say, if they really were wanting to break out of their situation, they would yank your arm off to grab that. Also, as someone who *has* actually lived homeless and slept on the street, they are definitely NOT homeless. If they have a residential vehicle, they may have no fixed address, but that is NOT that same as not having somewhere to live. That difference is HUGE!

I'd say that you've done everything you can, and more that could be reasonably expected of you.

If they chose not to take action, that's their choice.
Respect it, and let them know that in light of it being their choice they have made here you are no longer interested in offering emotional support for the consequences of said choice.
The behaviour you tolerate is the behaviour that will continue.

It sounds like there are mental health issues wrapped up in whatever's going on with them.
As I said, you've done more than could reasonably be expected already. There has to come a point where you stop their problem becoming yours.

Which is to say, no, it doesn't make you screwed up. But the why doesn't really matter. The what you do now and the what they do now is what does.

Was going to give my two sense, but Michael and Melanie covered it all much better than I could.

I just get tired of hearing "help me, help me, help me" when what they mean is "give me money so i don't have to work".  If they were as bad off as they claim I know that there are aide programs available.

Wheras, a friend of mine two days ago had a huge house fire. She has three kids under the age of five. I am offering help in terms of financial assistance... and they are having issues accepting it as they do not want to be a burden. Life is strange...

For several years my Father and I ran our own business, Heating, Refrigeration, and Electrical.  Some of our work was on domestic appliances (by the way, if your Refrigerator ever stops working, just replace it, cheaper than having it repaired, trust me.) and it never failed that the older people on a fixed income, particularly those who had been through the American Depression always wanted to pay as soon as the work was done and most others you had to hound them month after month in order to get paid.  In a business like that you can't afford to get behind with your supply houses.  You lose your preferred customer status and it can put you out of business.

We had one Lady, and I use the term loosely, the bishop of her church called us and asked us to check her Fridge.  Domestic Fridges are terrible, you are going to have an hour of labor into just getting it tore down enough that you can diagnose the problem unless it is glaringly obvious.  Well anyway, come to find out the church ( I won't say which one) was paying this lady's rent, power, propane and giving her money each month for food.  From the moment we walked in the door all she did was complain about how they were not doing enough to help her and how they kept trying to get her to go to job interviews and trying to force her onto welfare and how they had no respect for her dignity, and oh, could we make sure that the repair bill for he fridge would be over $150 because if it was then the church had said they would just buy her a new fridge.

It cost us $90 in parts, 5 hours of labor at $50 an hour and we threw in the freon for free but the bill ended up coming to an even $100.  She was not happy with us. :)

OK Folks, we can spend the next several days in back and forth chatter about getting Maggie across the river or we can jump to loading her into the ambulance with a brief description of how she got there.  Either way is fine with me.  The problem with going into detail is I tend to get bogged down in the details and feel the need to explain everything which can kill a story.  The problem with skipping it all is we miss out on a lot of good chances to RP and develop the characters which is kind of the point of the adventure.  Which way would you like to go with it?

I am happy to throw up a quick post for carrying her over the river. We don't need to drag it out, you are right.

I also in favor of a quick transition.  But to make it more realistic, Melanie should transport one of the EMTs first, then Maggie.  That way the patient still has medical care available on either side of the river.  :)

Well, um. This is awkward. I did say in the PM discusson that I was not able to take on the role of GM. And suddenly, I log in, and I am GM. Except, our previous GM didn't talk to me about it at all, they just seem to have dropped it on my head and left, without reference to me. Not so much as a single word. I am still getting some details hammered out, but hope to get everything sorted out in the next day or two. If anyone could give me a break down of the story or far, it would be appreciated. In any case, I look forward to RPing with everyone. :)

I can't tell the whole thing, only my own, really. So here's a summary of the antics of the Pixie girl!

Having been captured by CFI, tortured, and then sold to the highest bidder, she was kept as part of a collection by a very unpleasant individual. She did manage to escape, and was on the run. Whilst robbing a 7-11 to get basic supplies, she was spotted by CFI, who attempted to recapture her. She managed to escape - barely - and while she was fleeing the scene, she came across a very odd little person, who seemed to be half human, half rabbit. The little bunny took her to the bed and breakfast, where she spent the night in the barn. The next day she met the B&B's owner, and was invited to stay. Here she met with several of the other player characters.

While the majority of them went to investigate the sound of gunshot, Pixie checked on the little bunny, then flew out to see if she could be of any help to the others. this is where she came on the scene of Maggie having been shot. Pixie was able to help by flying medical personnel over the river and back again, and, exhausted, was more than happy to get into the car and be driven away.

That sums up her day!

It occurs to me that among her new friends, only Michael knows that Melanie has animal control powers. She hasn't told any of the others, and they haven't seen her use them. They may think the fairy flight and strength thing is what she does. This could be intriguing...

Speaking of animals, do you want to write the details for the dog? Nothing complicated just the major things like does it have a collar, respond to commands, seem wild, etc, etc. I am fine doing it, but I wasn't sure if I should since I didn't introduce it. Only mentioning it since addressing a loose dog around the cabins is Robin's responsibility.

Either works. Domesticated might work better. Collar. Possibly belongs to one of the site workers, or the movie crew. I am fine with that. If she knows the dog well, she might spot it is behaving a little oddly. Less exuberant and friendly, but not hostile.

I'll leave whatever it is up to you. Shall run with it and see where we go! That is what collaborative storytelling is all about! *8-)

On December 21st I am going into hospital for major surgery. While there is no reason to presume there is any especial risk, I am going to be in hospital for a while, possibly to new year, or over Christmas at the very least. After this, I am going to be taking a lot of painkillers, and will be pretty out of it for a while. When not asleep, I am likely to have no energy and focus. I hope that won;t last too long, but my recovery time is projected to be at least two or three months to recover from the surgery, and that may be exacerbated by further treatment. So, please bear with me! I shall try to be around, but I can't guarantee anything amazing until I have recovered a little.

Hey Small Fry, I hope your surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery.  Be sure to get it in writing that you will be able to play the piano when they get done.  A word of advice, get a good felt tip and write "DO NOT REMOVE THIS PART" on anything you want to keep.

The surgery was a success, but it looks like a post-op infecion has set in somwhere, so the medics are chasing that down. I am tired, very sore, but glad that part is over. And can't wait to be back on my posting point once again.

Ooh, post 1000!!!

Just wanted to let everybody know that I will be a few days off. Three or four, probably. I've managed to overstress my vocal cords again and I need to let them recover. I'm very sorry, and I'll be back ASAP!

For those that don't remember — or even know — I can't type without extreme pain, so I use dictation software to make my posts. So laryngitis makes even a small post like this one difficult.

Finally broke down and went to the DR to get a prescription for my migraines.  He gave me Imatrex.  I used it for the first and last time the other day.  It did stop the migraine, I will give it that, or at least I could not feel the migraine, but Gods the side effects.  I would have rather had the migraine.  Worse yet, the next day I still felt as if I was recovering from a very, very bad migraine.

Back to square one I guess.

I sympathise, migraines can be hell to live with, and the hangover the following day is almost as debilitating. I hope you get something that helps soon!

Looks like I wasn't alone with some issues.

Things are much better and I'll be back up an running tomorrow.

Hey folks,  I'm considering starting a play by email game on Yahoo Groups.  This will be a player driven game highly dependent on story and character interaction.  There will be little GM intervention.  For  the most part it will be proposing story threads and giving them an occasional nudge.

Characters may have metahuman abilities but I will stomp on anyone trying to run a Captain Everything type.  Every character will have their weakness or limitation.  If you choose to run a powered individual it will be your choice about if they are in the phonebooth about their identity.

Because of the origin of all the powers just about anything goes.  You can be a mage and have to use spells and incantations, A Vern type who creates super tech or a Furry with enhanced abilities but once you create your character you are locked in, That will be the way your powers work.

Part of the inspiration for this setting is 'Wearing the Cape' by Marium G. Harman.  If you have read those books you will have a pretty good idea of how it will work

Sounds interesting Malcolm, but a pbem and not pbp on here? I only ask because I started with pbem and moved to pbp (have a proboard Where we play mostly Heroes Unlimited based games besides games here).

It may work on here but one of the reasons I was thinking Yahoo Groups was because most people can access email even at work and you can post an email directly without having to copy and post into another format.  You can also attach pictures without needing to resort to special coding.  The big difference though is this is going to be (I hope) more story based.  Instead of posting a small snippet and then waiting for everyone to reply you will detail out your actions with maybe hints of what others are doing.  At the end of each post you can say who you would like to have pick up the next piece.  Most story arcs will have a leader, someone who started it and for that arc they more or less fill the roll of GM.

The second plate held a short stack of pecan pancakes covered in a rich butter and a thin caramel syrup. A tall glass of milk and a short one of orange juice joined the setting.   "Bon appetite."

"Huh?"

"Enjoy the food Horance."   Another setting appeared on the table for the cat.

"This is all breakfast food."  The cat complained.

"And your point is?"

"That it's seven o'clock at night. It's supper time not breakfast!"

"You do not have to eat it. I am sure Horance would behappy to have your share."  Hoppy grinned and held out his plate for a refill. Trinka dutifully dished up anotherhelping, which he accepted happily.  "Where did you learn to cook anyway?"   Buzz pushed at the eggs with her fork before trying a mouthful. Her eyeswidened in surprise.

"It was part of my training. If you are going to poisonsomeone the easiest way is often in their food. Contactpoisons and concealed needles are all very well for a movie,but are extremely risky in reality.  Buzz stopped with a forkful of eggs a scant inch from herlips and gave it a queasy look.Trinka caught the look and gave a snort of disgust.  "Get real Doctor, if I really wished to poison you, you would have no warning, you would just fall over dead. I do promise that it would be quick and as painless as possible.I owe you that much at least."  At the range a timer chimed softly and Trinka opened the oven to remove a sealed foil pack, handling it carefully in her bare paws. Depositing it on a plate, she carefully peeled back the foil to reveal a gently steaming piece of raw meat. Cautiously she probed it with a finger tip,  "Perfect."

"What are you going to do with that?"  The Doctor asked, still eyeing her own meal suspiciously.

"Eat it of course."  The she wolf stated matter of factly.

"What about all of this?"  The cat indicated all the foodlaid out on the table.   "Don't you want any of it?"

"I prefer my food to be much simpler. I cook because Ienjoy it, not because I wish to eat it."  Trinka cut off a bite size piece of meat and popped it into her mouth. "I do not..."  The wolf's ears came up sharply and swiveled toward the outside wall. She jerked erect from her slouch against the counter.  "Someone's here, a vehicle of some type!"  Shoving her plate into the oven to conceal it, Trinka snatched up a plastic spray bottle that was sitting beside the sink, being careful not to squeeze it to hard. "I'll hide in one of the rooms. Try to distract them. If they come after me do NOT follow them. Remember that, don't follow them!"Quietly she slipped through the door and down the hallway.

A heavy knock rattled the back door to the kitchen.

It should be noted that in the above piece Trinka was my character while Buzz and Hoppy belonged to two other players. However as part of this story line I had permission to move them around and supply dialog as long as it was minor events.  For anything Major we would have hashed it out by emails or in chats then posted it.  They had permission to do the same with my character.

Use to do this with Star trek Group. Not a complicated thing really until we had a fleet war and you had to collaborate with 10 + people lol. But was a lot of fun.

Apologies on being MIA, Our company has been on an expansion and the workload has increased to a point where I barely have time for myself in a day.

Being put on multiple projects for work With constant out of town visitors and internal reorganization I tried all I could but I can no longer find time to give any of my games. Being responsible sucks sometimes lol and this is one of those times.

I really love this game and tried everything to stay on and Playing with Luke has been awesome but I can't seem to find any time for anything else.
I hate leaving games in this fashion but... Sigh... I wish you all the best of luck!

Sorry for the delays, things back to normal now with the chaos of family's summer break over and school getting back in

Just wanted to let my writing partners know that my posting may be non existent for the coming days. Hurricane Dorian has decided to come visit tomorrow and will make landfall pretty much right on top of our community. We've been hit before, but this one looks to be a doozy. Hopefully it won't be as bad as feared, but wanted to give everyone a heads up

So, we survived for the most part despite being Category 2 when it came ashore and dumped 200mm/ 8” of rain on us with with winds topping at the shoreline close to 70-80 mph. Major infrastructure issues . Power is hopefully on tonight/tomorrow (went out noonish Saturday thanks to a 50ft maple a mile up the road) but no idea when internet will be back.

When it does, I’ll start catching up on my posting. Thanks to everyone’s well wishes

I am doing a house move tomorrow. While I should have internet via phone tethering, I will not have home internet until February 10th at the earliest. I should be ok to post, but if I go quiet, this is the reason.

Next couple of days are going to be incredibly busy and tiring, so do not expect to see me much!

This update is copy/pasted to other games. I guess I am outing my alts. But this is not something I want to type over several times.

Had medical examinations internally yesterday. As some of you are aware, I have been fighting cancer the past couple of years. Well, the exploration revealed some nasty little polyps growing on the site where previously tumours had been. This could be entirely benign - a lot of people have this, and it is entirely fine and never causes any kind of problem. In my case, obviously, this is far more concerning. The doctors removed stuff from inside me, and it is being sent away for examinations. Until I get results of this (in a couple of weeks or so, I expect) I won't know for sure whether or not I'm having a relapse, and need more treatment. So I'm not likely to be at my best. I should still be here and posting away, but I would ask for a little patience if I seem a little sub-par when it comes to my posting.

And crossed fingers, prayers, and gifts of cake are all very much appreciated!
