Now then, its time for a brief history lesson.  Since the nights of the comet and the advent of what are known as The Harbinger's Children it has been determined, in the United States at least, that all such Children are entitled to the full protection offered by established anti discrimination laws.  It should be noted however that Law is not public opinion and the law has been known to turn a blind eye toward certain events.  A Child being beaten by a mob may be overlooked. A Child beating up a mob will get arrested.

However not everyone is against them, most are at best neutral, and some are openly friendly.

It has been noted however that amoung the animal Children of the Comet they have shown a marked tendency toward aggression against normal humans.

Studies have also indicated that through some unknown means the Harbinger's Children can sense the presense of others.  Some say it is like a musical note, others a distinct smell, while some claim it is a tingle on their skin.

Nah, see, it's all about perspective.
You can walk anywhere worth getting to, the tube is an engineering and logistical miracle, and the Natural History museum is free. Privatisation and tube strikes? They're worth discussing.
And pigeons. Rats, too, if you know where to look. The evolution of London's rats is almost certainly fascinating.

Actually, you can *fly* anywhere worth going. But only after dark, for museums, or they turn you into an exhibit.

And while they have many useful skills, rats do NOT know how to play snakes and ladders. Don't even try. SERIOUSLY. You won't like the results... *eye twitch*

I've heard rats are excellent (but cutthroat) at Ludo, as long as you're playing for money. My source on that *may* not have been reliable, though...

And while rats will play for money, they do not understand the concept of actual paper cash. They will gladly play for rotting vegetable matter or the carcass of a dead dog, however.
