Launch day: Aksa Tikkanen
Aksa stops in her tracks, looks around, then, ushers the child back to her plane.
"Come now child, don't cry, lets see if we can't find your parents. Ok?" She says soothingly. "Whats your name sweetie. I'm Aksa Tikkanen."
She seats the child atop the cockpit ladder to keep her out from underfoot, so she can look for her folks, and, her folks can see her better should they be in line of sight.
She joins the girl up top and stands on the 'step' areas over the intake and looks over the situation. What a shit show this is... she mutters inwardly.
She pulls out her Nokia and sends a group text to her squadron mates. Crisis 101 phone and cell signals will be all kinds of crap, texts have a better chance of getting thru.
TXT: "I'm at my static display. Unable to get back until this crowd thins."
She looks for other military around her and if she can get there attention (waves, sharp whistles, 'HEY YOU! etc.), beckons them over to rally on her. Her thinking now is crowd control. There may be more lost children out there, and possibly hurt adults caught in the stampede. She intends to set up a collection point between her and the next closest plane for lost and wounded. To that end she'll need manpower to cordon off a perimeter and then to get the hurt and lost into it.
That is her initial plan of action. She figures, since it is currently near impossible to get across the airfield on foot, best to help out here, then, once it thins enough, rescue vehicles can get in and get the hurt out at the same time the ordinance folks and plane handlers can cart in APU's, Missiles, and Pods for the aircraft. In any case right now, the planes are stuck.
