Even funnier is the fact that I also rolled a one to plat the course for the nuke.  There was obviously some severe mechanical issues with that nuke.

Phiri: "Okay, go over here."
Nuke: Don't wanna!
Aksa: "Ok fly away now little nuke."

Aksa puts nuke in time out...

Nuke: "Don't wann...hey...where'd everybody go?"

I am running a game set in 'The Expanse' universe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Expanse_(TV_series). Player characters are currently attempting to commandeer a pair of unknown stealth vessels docked on Eros. Its looking like this is going to be a pair of serious close quarters gunfights...

I have a few abandoned PC's and a few slots open for potential players to take over a 'generic NPC' which has not been created. I can create these NPC's really quick in case you do not want to deal with character creation.

Hahahahahaha...Firefly games on RPOL are cursed. I've tried very hard to get into a bunch of them, and succeeded several times. Only to have the game fold before anything really happens. I even got to be Kaylee. Twice. *sadface*

DST - I absolutely love The Expanse but haven't read the ninth book yet. So long as there are no spoilers from book 9, I'll drop you an RTJ soonish (or at least a PM that says 'hi').

IIIRC there is a game system that has the Firefly setting.

Oh I'd never want to do a Firefly game where your the characters from the show, just one in the universe where your other people just trying to make a living.

Yeah, I've done those, too. They collapse just as quickly. Maddening, really. Maybe I'll try to run one someday...

There have been multiple Firefly game systems, DST. The system is never the problem. They are straightforward yet dripping with flavor from the show. I think one might be similar to Savage Worlds? And SW works very well on RPOL.

The issue is always the players, they always want to be a character from the show and can never get in the mindset of no you can't be Mal.

LOL - IME, the characters are always amazing (because they are usually the cream of the crop of the vetting process). It's the GM that always seems to have no idea how to proceed after getting the crew together.
