Those old Su-24 "Fencers" were designed for low-level nuclear strike. Not a bad use for them if they can get them in the air! I am waiting for them (either side) to reactivate their long-retired MiG-27M "Flogger-Ds". They took a small single-engined varioable-geometry air-superiority fighter and converted it to ground-attack, mounting a 30mm gas-operated rotary autocannon (adapted from a naval CIWS as an imitation GAU-8 Avenger, but inferior). The recoil from this monster would shatter navigation and landing lights, crack the canopy, stun pilots, and in one case the instrument console detached and dropped into the pilot's lap.

If everyone in the Saturn thread could put up an answer post in response to the solicited ideas ask from Aksa, or, just a post noting that the player character has clocked it but has nothing to toss into the ring, would be much appreciated.

IIRC, I don't think the Hunters do, and only a small number of the VF's have them, the rest have ICFIT's (Intake Cavity Fuel Insert Tanks; basically fuel tanks that fit into the air intake cavity on the VF's --- since we're in space they don't gulp down air so...why not put that space to better use. /shrug.)
