“Is that what you really wish my Queen ?” Nyer said unsure how to handle the situation before him.

Slate moves to stand between Opal and Seth “What is happening here ? Why is no one explaining anything.” Slate again pleaded.

“Yes.” She smiled and tapped the spot beside her on the bed, “Let me try and do for you what you’ve always done for me. Please.”

“He’s trying to have me killed!” Opal shouted, tears falling from her eyes as though they’d been stored there for years, “He his the Mirror back from me so I couldn’t get back in! Why?!”

“It is a decision that preserves my family and power that was rightfully given to me.” Seth growled, his rage only fractured by Slate in his view, “I have fore seen what will happen if you two continue with this.... whatever you wish to call it, and I refuse to have what belongs to me destroyed!”

Nyer obliged taking a place beside her in the bed “Very well.” He was obviously out of his comfort zone as far as he relations with his Queen.

“Dad, how could you try to kill her, she is my only friend.” Slate could not make heads or tails of the situation which was befalling him “Opal what were you planing to do here ?”

Zoeva climbed atop Nyer, kissing his lips softly before trailing her affections south on his body until reaching his excitement. She blushed, and cautiously began licking before she took the head between her glossy lips, looking up at Nyer to gauge his reaction.

“I.. I figured if he was going to send me to die, he may as well do it himself.” She confessed, crossing her arms over herself, showing more cauterized wounds, “I was going to attack him so he’d just end it. I know I can’t beat him, nor would I want to...” she looked at Slate, “Him and his husband were the only other two people in existence who I trusted besides you. I just.. I just wanted to prove that I could be just as strong  to become part of what you guys offered to me.”

“Do NOT speak of him!” Seth howled in rage, bounding over Slate and slamming Opal into the ground.

Nyer could not help but groan at the treatment she was ushering upon him he bit his lip to hide the sensation but he wanted to cry out in pleasure just from the simple touch.

“Dad stop this, do not become a monster please.” Slate said putting all the envy he had of the hero that was his father as he moved to try and pull Seth off of Opal.

Pleased by the reaction, Zoeva took all him to her throat, waiting a second before she steadily began to move upon him, one of her hands traveling to hold his.

Seth’s angry gaze jumped to Slate and he backed off. “I want her out!” He growled before stomping from the room.

Opal however, was unconscious in a slight crater on the stone floor.

Nyer’s eyes rolled as shivers of delight shot up his body constantly his body was both tense and relaxed at the same time. “I think I do not know how much of this I can endure.”

“Dad ...” Slate was disappointed to say the least but quickly turned his head to Opal lifting her in his arms before carrying her to his room where he prepared to make himself suffer. “Opal. I will do this for you and get you somewhere safe ... after that I am not sure I will be able to protect you anymore.” Slate places his hand upon Opal activating a Contract of healing to heal her wounds at the expense of his Clarity.

Zoeva stopped and moved back up Nyer’s body where she rubbed her slick petals against his saliva coated member. She panted as she looked shyly at Nyer, “Did you like it?”

Her wounds sealed shut before his eyes and she groaned, coming to with one hand coming over her head, “Am I... Is this heaven?” She asked groggily, blinking rapidly as she tried to focus.

“I could hardly describe a higher pleasure ...” Nyer said his voice carried a quiver of utter want in it his body brought to the utter edge of delight by the Queen.

“I am afraid not ...” Slate said falling to the floor holding his face as his psyche was ravaged. “You need to escape the mirror Opal...” Slate said on a staggered breath.

The Queen gently used her hand to guide his excitement inside of her, gasping as his member spread her petals, “Oh Nyer!”

“Slate...” Opal sat up, rubbing her eyes to help her focus. She quickly pulled him against her bare skin, his head against her chest, “I’m sorry.. I’ll leave to the Edge.. I just. I got so angry when I got the letter and then the attacks. I’ll just have to figure out a new way to survive.. Even if it means I can’t see you anymore.. I can live knowing you’re safe in here.” She cried into dark crown of hair.

“Ah!” Nyer clenched his teeth hard doing everything to keep his body from breaking to the pleasure.

“No ... need to go where my father cannot find you ... he is not himself, he is hurt and is taking it out on you. It will not be safe for you here.” Slate said with staggered breath.

Slowly, Zoeva began to move atop him, but not just grinding. The way she positioned her legs she lifted herself up to the top of his extremity before lowering herself down to take all of him into her, then repeating.

Opal was silent aside from her crying. It took several deep, choked breaths before she could manage, “Okay... Okay... I get it.” She reluctantly released him from her embrace.

Nyer could not hold his body back any longer, he let out his ecstasy with a monumental groan of delight.

His eyes were not right, it was obvious he could barely make any sense of what it was that he was seeing, the horrific reality clawed at his mind. “Please... do not be upset... it is the only way I can think of keeping you safe ... then I can come looking for you ... when this nightmare stops.” He spoke but it was clear he was on the verge of falling into a coma from the damage to his clarity.

“Nyer!” Zoeva cried out as she peaked in tandem with him.

Opal pulled him onto his bed and threw the covers over him. She knelt on the bed, keeping one hand on his cheek, but she glanced around in a panic, “Slate... Stay awake with me...! It’s going to be awful I if I have to get your dad..”

“My Queen, you may use me as you wish, however you wish.” Nyer said between heavy breaths.

“It is so hard to stay awake now, he did this to you, my dad did this this to you.” Tears beaded from his eyes “I cannot even see you any more, I can not see the castle, just fire.” Slate struggled “Please, Opal, do not forget the good times we had here, do not lose the hope of our happy family.”

“Nyer... my sweet prince.. You don’t need to be as such any more.” She leaned over and kissed him before carefully pulling off him, “And once everything is settled with naming you as my prince... Eventually you’ll become King...”

“Slate.. Don’t apologize.. Maybe this was just how things were supposed to be.” She leaned over and kissed his forehead, “Slate.. Just please.. um.. I love you.” She kissed him again, this time his cheek, and whispered in his ear, “I love you.”

“I have never held such lofty ambitions my Queen but anything that pleases you shall please me. The phenix will be returned to us soon I am certain of that.” Nyer spoke confidently.

“Opal ...” his breathing steadied and he began to calm.

“That is actually the only reason why I need to delay the announcement, but this is the perfect opportunity to.. to do something I knew I wanted for a long time.” Zoeva smiled at him, “I was so afraid for so long you were to just leave. I’ve seen others simply vanish without a trace, but you’re the only one who’s ever tugged at my heart.”

“Shhh.. Take a few deep breaths and relax.” Opal spoke gently to him as she started to pull away slowly.

“I had no idea I had such an effect on you, Osin will be devastated by jealousy.” Nyer chuckled, content that things seemed to be aligning in his favor.

Slate relaxed in her embrace having calmed slightly he fell to sleep almost with peace on his face.

“He was an interesting.. toy, but he’s so angry.” Zoeva blushed and giggled, “He could never go any further than he has here, which is sad for him, but he lives a lavish life here. I don’t think anyone is really unhappy that dwells on these levels of the castle.”

“None can besmirch the quality of life you have given to us here my Queen. Soon the Phenix will come to understand this as well and those who discredited you shall see the error in their ways.” Nyer said triumphantly.

“Stay here with me.. See if you like it.” Zoeva smiled and crawled to the head of the plush bed before turning and beckoning Nyer to her.

When Slate came to, Seth was sitting beside him, leaning on the bed with his head resting on crossed arms as he slept. Further into the room was Noelle who too had fallen asleep on a chair. On one of the bedside tables was a basin filled with water and a washcloth, plus some drinking water and a few sweets and fruits.

Nyer eases himself beside his Queen. “I never thought to shear a bead with you in this manner.” He said carrying a blush.

“Dad ... dad ..” Slate was groggy but emotional at the same time as he sat up in the bed and took in his surroundings.

Zoeva and Nyer came to rest entangled in one another’s arms and fell into a restful sleep. As they came to in the morning, the Queen of course had matters to tend to, and at Nyer’s forefront was the same matter of the Phoenix girl as well as his more personal attention to the Dragon.

Before leaving, Zoeva gave Nyer a hug and a deep kiss, then left him to his whims.

Seth opened one eye, and shocked at seeing Slate up, awoke completely himself. “Slate, thank you.. thank you..!” He pulled his son into his arms and held him tightly, “I was so worried.. She said it was bad, but we couldn’t do anything..”

Nyer sat up he knew time was drawing close for him to seize his prize and punish his rival such a feet would be a worthy one for his ascension. He could not mask the smile on his face it would soon be time for him.

“What ... what happened ... it so cloudy ... I was so scared.” Slate was practically shivering as he was trying to rationalize the irrational. His family, his whole world crumbled to pieces and he was terrified of where he found himself. “Are you going to send me away to ?”
