On the plane to beacon
Roy straightened up as quickly as he had pretended to fall - not missing the beat of Hikawa's passionate stare. He grinned as Uaine pulled him away, "No worries. I understand some people are just too shy to face my charm head-on. But you're right, there are more people to greet!" He allowed himself to continue being pulled along.

His attention turned to the music. His interests were piqued and just as he opened his mouth to comment, Roy found himself staggering backwards from a sudden, new weight. He stumbled but held it together - his eyes looking down on the new pair of hands wrapped around his neck.

Roy looped his hands behind his back to give the new weight some more support. He turned around to see the masked girl - her vacant look only made Roy give a brighter smile. He looked from the boy on his back to the girl and then to Uaine, "Well, this is quite a first... You should try it." Roy tilted his head to the boy, "You okay back there?"

On the plane to beacon
With her shameless hoarding of cookies unhindered, Shadea felt on one hand emboldened, while at the same time placated enough that she didn't have the urge to do anything particularly mean at the time. If there was anything to whiff about her emotions was her awakened capricious hunger and a habit for hoarding, which to an extent could be understood as greed. Helping herself to even more cookies until stopped or there were no more to be had, Shadea answered to Lilac's introduction with a brief. "Is that so?" Between bites.

Feasting on the acquired handful of cookies, bringing them one after another to her mouth as if it was popcorn, Ósk leaned over and deadpanned yet intently stared at Layla while munching. Sure it was a bit creepy if still comical, but Shadea didn't seem to care or notice, acting as if she could stare Layla into oblivion if necessary, to do just the same with the cupcakes as she just did with the cookies, not to mention the other mysterious snacks.

When the ship began to move, Ósk merely shifted her footing. The trip, she presumed, was long enough that she could still get a good view after the matter at hand, while taking a look now, could be just enough to leave her without the rest of the desired plunder.

Lilac didn’t quite catch what Layla said. Her attention was split between the girl who had just devoured way too much sugar this close to dinner time, and the boy in the distance who had just screamed. The prior Lilac had zeroed in on with a laser focus. “I’ll be right back.”

Lilac reached out, and snatched a cookie straight out of Shadea’s hand, and moved, with the plate, towards Roy and Basil. She maneuvered around the taller boy to get a good look at Basil. “Would you like a cookie?” Lilac held the cookie she took from Shadea up for Basil to grab, and held out her arm for the other two boys to grab some of the few remaining.

Layla looked at Akio with a confused smile, wondering why he was apologizing to her. Had he said or done something she hadn't noticed. " Umm that's okay no need to apologize I guess, though I have no clue as to what your apologizing for. " She said looking down at Timothy for a moment, who simply gave her a small shrug before slowly running in circles around her.

Layla's attention would be drawn to Shadea, who seemed to be staring at her quite intently. This elicited somewhat of a blush from her, as she waved to the girl who was feasting upon cookies. That was until Lilac who excused herself for a moment, walked over snatching a cookie from the girl. Taking it over with the other remaining cookies, to the small group of boys that had yet to get any. " Hi would you like a cupcake I have plenty, so if your still hungry you could grab a couple. " She said as she walked up to Shadea, wondering if the girl had perhaps missed a meal or something.

"...nevermind then," Akio said simply to Layla. "I will happily also take a cupcake, if you have a spare."

Akio didn't seem to be all that bothered by the movement of the plane. If anything, he seemed impatient to get up in the air.

Shadea was as content as very content things came, the fun that flight entailed, devouring cookies, the prospect of even more baked goodness to seize... This sure was a great start to this new chapter. Or at least it was until one of the cookies that she had virtually stolen was stolen from her, taking away 'her' food, not only that, it wasn't even because Lilac wanted to wrestle it back but to give it to someone else, someone other than her... HOW MADDENING!

With her hand still posed as if holding the missing treasure, mouth half open and eyes so dark and void they almost looked as black holes sucking the light form her face into their endless depths, Ósk seemed to be in a shock. Creepely following the 'thief' with her gaze and face as she moved over where the other students were, she moved it back to face Layla, still wearing the same unnerving shocked expression. "Cupcakes can't fill the emptiness inside me - but they will help..." Shadea answered looking moderately happier and turning the invisible cookie holding hand into an expecting outstretched hand.

Seelie's gaze followed Basil almost to the ceiling, then back down onto Roy's back. His expression seemed worse than before. Had she done something wrong? Her head subconsciously tilted slightly in confusion and contemplation when he started begging for his life. The one he had jumped onto seemed happy at least. Maybe what she did was a good thing, then?  Her mind cycled through theories of what just happened and why, as well as what to do next, all the while absentmindedly staring at the two. After a couple minutes she gave up and looked out the nearest window to watch their ascent, not bothering to move from where she was.

Layla looked over at Akio wondering, just what was running through his little head. " Yes I have a cupcake for you to have. " She said as she handed him one of the strawberry cupcakes, before turning her attention back to the somewhat dismayed looking Shadea.

" Hmm I am not sure what type of would you are, talking about but I am a pretty good cook. So if you ever want something I could make it for you, you know once we all get set up in our dorms and everything. " She said with a chuckle as she place cupcake, in her offered hand Timothy running up to Shadea giving her leg a gentle hug.

Basil's fear slowly gave way to confusion as the masked girl simply stared at him, even tilting her head in a gesture he recognized all too well. "Um. Oops. Sorry...," he squeaked quietly, finally realizing that the girl did not intend to eat him or something. It took him another moment to register where exactly he'd ended up, and his cheeks turned a slight shade of red as he quickly detached from the cheerful boy's shoulders, dropping back down to the floor. "S-Sorry!," he repeated, this time to the guy he'd just been hanging onto.

His eyes quickly glanced around at the others who'd paid attention to his outburst, and he gave a soft little cough in a rather pitiful attempt to hide his embarrassment. "Ahem. S-Sorry about that. I'm, um, I'm Basil. N-Nice to meet you," he told them, hoping the introduction would distract them from what he'd just done. Thankfully, they all seemed nice - he was completely oblivious of the death stare the tall girl was shooting their direction. Finally noticing the cookie that had been offered to him, he gently took it, sniffing it a couple of times before taking a small nibble. "Th-Thank you..."

Just one cupcake, Shadea was disappointed. She glanced down at Timothy, had things been different, Ósk's curiosity would had her do something everyone would had likely ended wishing that never happened. However, with both hands holding delicious stuff, she didn't have the will to be upset for long, nor a third arm to grab and 'inspect' Timothy.

Even though the way she saw it, Layla had just lied to her with the single cupcake, the appeasing 'promise' went a long way to counterbalance her initial disappointment. "Oohhh? Are you now? How convenient of you." Ósk commented as she resumed the devouring of the remaining cookies that she held. "More of these would do." She suggested nonchalantly. Was there a catch she was missing? Or had the stranger just volunteered to cook and bake stuff for her on demand?

She watched Shadea eat the rest of the cookies she had, almost amazed at how fast she could eat. " Hmm I wouldn't call it convenient of me, I just find that the best way to start a friendship is through food. " She said as Timothy looked up at her before holding, up a paw as if it was giving the tall girl a thumbs up.

" Oh would you like some more cookies, I don't know if mine compare to Lilac's but I did make some. " She said as Timothy quickly ascended up, to the middle of the bundle retrieving a round metal tin. Timothy then moved across Layla's now, outstretched arm handing the tin to Shadea. " You can have those they are white chocolate macadamia nut. "

Akio took the cupcake gladly and started nibbling at it, nodding gratefully to Layla. He turned his attention to Seelie, raising an eyebrow.

"Don't worry about the fools over there," he said, referring to Roy and Basil. "They're in their own little world."

"I'd say the 'fools' just see the same world a little differently, Hikawa. If everyone saw the world the same way, Remnant would be a very boring place." Uaine stated as he stopping the blaring music from his headphones. There were a lot of people to meet, and it wouldn't do to be distracted.

He started with Basil, lightly thumping the mousey boy on the back in greeting. "Names Uaine, nice to meet you too. If you need help with anything, I'll do my best to help you out."

Giving little time for the faunus to finish, Uaine looked over at Lilac. "Thanks for the offer, but sugar and me don't get along that well. Too much energy, not enough time to burn it, you know? I'm Uaine by the way. My dad works at O'Lir shipping, which granddad owns. I've been just about everywhere in the Four Kingdoms, and I'm sure I can find a few recipes if I looked in my notes."

Roy placed a hand underneath his chin and nodded along to Uaine's statement. He couldn't have said it any better. Though he rolled his eyes and mumbled under his hand - consoling himself with something about a kimono lad and a love triangle. He felt a stare at his back. Was he paranoid or did he just gather another admirer?

Ah, two in one day. How much of a charming devil was Roy?

At the mention of cookies, Roy's attention snapped back. An angel held a plate of heavenly goodness out for him. He couldn't refuse such a delightful gift. "And that only means more for the rest of us, Mr. Traveller" He turned to Lilac, "I thank you, my good lady." He took just one cookie and ate it. His eyes closing in delight - the cookie disappearing in almost an instant, "Roy's the name though - available at the beck and call to any damsel in distress. No apologies necessary" He winked with a cheesy click of the tongue to Basil.

Even if through sheer willingness to feed her, out of the whole bunch, so far Shadea felt the least animosity towards Layla. Like bottomless pit, she dispatched the last of the cookies and presented another hand to Layla. "I wouldn't go that far but it sure gives people reasons not to hate you, much. Or even try to remain among your good graces."

Ósk shuffled closer to the other girl and leaned down until they were face to face. "When you think about it though, you are not starting or winning friendships, you are renting them." Eying the cupcake she had in her power, Shadea added. "Though I am fine with that." Without a second thought, she picked up the tin. "I am Ósk, what is your name?" Progress! It only took stuffing the gal with sweets and the faint promise of more to come, to have her introduce herself.

Layla couldn't tell if Osk just had, a big appetite or if she just wasn't always well fed. Though either way she would do her best, to try and make the girl satiated. " Hmm well I suppose that is a way to see it, after all not being hated is a good way to start a relationship. Though no one has to try to remain in my good graces, just to get some good food from me. "

She wondered if this girl was one of those, types that was shy about their real feelings. It would be adorable if she was, then she could enjoy slowly coaxing the real feelings out of the taller girl. " Wow that is an interesting way of looking at it, but that is so not my intention. " She said with a giggle as Osk took the offered tin, Timothy jumping over to her resting atop her head. " My name is Layla, and that precocious little scamp is Timothy. "

A loud, but unobtrusive, chime rings through the air, directing all of your attention to the holo display that had been showing the news. Instead, there is a hologram of a woman with blond hair, a strict but concerned expression on her face. She wears a purple cape over a white shirt and black high waisted pants, and holds a riding crop in front of her. It is obvious she can see you all as she turns her head to survey the room. When she speaks, her voice is clear and determined.

Hello, and welcome to Beacon. My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world.

A few moments later, the ship begins to descend, and the pilot speaks over the intercom Now arriving at Beacon Academy. please wait until the ship has fully landed before departing.

Mere moments later, the ship touches down, and reveals the iconic beacon academy.

The tall girl straightened up, her dark eyes still fixed on Layla, looking down at her form the bastion of her height. "I am not hating you, right now. Would you still give me these if I did?" She reached to store the tin in her backpack. "Oohh!? Are you wealthy?" Asked Ösk out of the blue. Somehow she figured that Layla ought to be rich to some extent, at least to be willing to surrender food on the regular in exchange of nothing, not even the most basic form of appreciation. It was that or the fellow student was as exceedingly generous as she was foolish. Then again, once one had a rotten personality like hers, it was hard to see things through anything else but the twisted lens of her own reflection.

Her thoughts were taken elsewhere, contrary to her estimations, she didn't have time to enjoy the baked treasures and views both. It was a timely event though, as with one hand free, she no longer required a third arm to 'inspect' Timothy. Fortunately their arrival turned the seemingly hyperactive thing into an afterthought. "Will take your word for it anyway, Layla." Shadea mentioned, likely referring to the whole 'I will feed you stuffs whenever' thing. Then she got ready to leave the ship.

'Wow this one is just a ball of nerves.' Lilac smiles at Basil as he descended from the Prince stereotype, and politely waits while he apologizes for the third time in fifteen seconds. She catches the way his eyes linger on a cloaked figure when he checks his surroundings. 'I may have been mistaking his nervousness for the whole planes worth.'

"Oh, your welcome my names Lilac, and if you need anything just let me know." She make certain to hold eye contact with Basil as she ends that sentence. Then she looks to Roy. "And you too are welcome. Sorry there are only a few left. The lady over there was stuffing them down like she had never seen sugar." She picks up the last cookie on the shield before closing it back into the bracer.

Lilac shot a glance over to Uaine. "Yeah I get that, my stomach does all sorts of twists when I eat too much sugar. I mostly carry these around for other people." She stopped, and thought for a moment. "I don't think I've ever heard of O'lir shipping. Did you ever sail down towards Menagerie? Thats probably why it doesn't ring any bells."

When the plane lands Lilac suddenly snaps to attention. 'Ok gonna get the cloaked girl away from mouse boy, Don't want that type of spike again.' She addresses all three boys she was talking to. "Oh, where here! I'll talk to you later. Bye!" Lilac bolts off towards Seelie, ops her head to her side, when she knows she has been seen throws her arm over the other persons Shoulders, and offers the last cookie. "Hey, my names Lilac. Lets get off the boat. Want a cookie." Lilac then attempts to guide the other girl off of the plane.

"Not all perspectives are equally valid," Akio said simply to Uaine. "This is our entrance to one of the most prestigious academies in the world. I doubt this is the sort of place where piggy back rides will be looked upon as favorable conduct."

With everyone else wandering about and discussing sugar intake, Akio simply sighed and awaited the opportunity to leave the plane, and finally make his way out to the Academy.

The ride was shorter than Seelie expected. She had been planning to take a nap on the rafters over the main room to pass the time, but it seemed it wouldn't be necessary. She looked up at the ceiling, eyeing the wide beams going across. They looked so cozy towards the corner. Oh well. The pilot informed everybody to wait until the airship landed before leaving, but that wouldn't really be necessary. At least not for Seelie. She waited until the craft was about 20 feet from the ground before teleporting down and walking calmly to the castle-esque school. It was a bit further than she would typically use her blink to travel, but in spite of her sedate stroll, she was excited and wanted to look at everything. She even paused to admire the soft grass- something you just didn't get back in Vacuo where she's from

" Well even if you did you seemed hungry so why would, I do something so mean as to deny you food. " She said her smile never fading though, she did feel that the larger girl was a tad bit intimidating. Though she was sure she got to know her, Osk would come to be a very good friend. " Me rich I wish! No I grew up in a small no name town, about the only thing fun to do was hunt and cook. Though it was full of nice people, and when any of us needed help the rest would offer what they could. " She said as the announcement that they had arrived was made, a gasp of excitement escaping her lips as Timothy hopped back over to her. She sealed the cupcake container, before handing it off to Timothy. Who then quickly replaced it, into the bundle on her back.

She was here at the best academy around, she couldn't wait to meet her instructors. " Oh my god Glynda Goodwitch looks so cool, I hope I get to meet her in person. " She said hopping up, and down rapidly before looking back at Osk. " I hope you enjoy the cookies, and if you have any preferences on meals let me know. Oh maybe we could have a picnic sometime, anyways I will talk to you more later. " She said as made her way out of the plane, as soon as it landed looking around in awe.

Basil wasn't entirely sure what to make of being called a 'damsel in distress', but he didn't protest the phrase, and gave a small nod to the three people that had offered their support. Uaine, Roy, and Lilac...they all seemed nice. Maybe he'd get lucky and they'd end up being his teammates?

His thoughts were distracted by their arrival, and he looked up in wonder at the sight in front of him. He'd seen pictures, but seeing Beacon in person was something else. It was majestic.

Unfortunately, the moment didn't last long, as the unpleasant kimono-guy's complaints about piggy-back rides pulled the mousy boy out of his reverie and made his shoulders droop slightly. He probably wasn't wrong, and it once again brought to mind all of the reasons Basil didn't belong here. Beacon was for the best of the best...and he certainly wasn't.

With his thoughts taking a turn towards the gloomy, he slowly followed the crowd out of the plane with a sigh. Still, he heard Uaine's question, and tilted his head to the side quizzically as he thought about it for a moment. 'Landing strategy'? Why did that sound familiar...?

Roy watched as Basil's facial expression changed. From happiness to... well, not so happy. He looked on in silence as Akio and the other students exited. He clicked his tongue. So much for this being the best day ever.

He shook his head - his attempt to shake off the thoughts - and took a deep breath. Roy's ears perked at the sound of Uaine's voice. Landing strategy? From the upper classmen? Wait. Why did Uaine get the upper hand on upperclassmen contacts! When did this happen? His eyes widened as he realized that the two guys had already made their exit. "Yo, Uaine! Wait up! Lemme get to know those upperclassmen too! You gotta give me a piggy back ride too!"
