Re: OOC: The Ready Room
Was away at a trade show for work for a few days.

Still would like to give everyone a chance to respond before pushing the narrative along by responding to 01's queue. Figure I'll wait until Monday, if that's okay with everyone?

If you like. But it's your turn to post up anyway, so don't feel like you have to wait for me :)

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
We're reaching what would be the end of the beginning for Episode 1, where the crazy train leaves the station and we get into the meat of the game.

I hope everyone has found their character's voice, because when I jump back into the IC, things are going to get crazy.

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
I'm honestly looking forward to it!  I've been checking back in here daily, but I haven't posted anything because I despise writing one-liners and I feel like that is all I would be able to do in response right now.  I assume we all have no reason to deny getting into the car with Farrokh.  I'd rather move onto something interesting to react to (like seeing the protesters or whatever).

Same here, it'd give us more to respond to. As is, Alexander would just get in as he was told to.

Agreed! Let's get to it! =D

Also, Daniel, since you noted it, how would your character be addressed by surname?

Just call him Daniel, that would be simplest for everyone.

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
By the way, make sure to name your Evas. I know Vidur is still running with Unit 0?, Codename Wraith, but that codename has been taken.

We already have mentions of Unit 05, with a Unit 02, and a Unit 36.

NERV has been busy.

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
Hmm.  I assumed that the Units corresponded to the Children numbers as they did in the series.  And that codename was taken?  Damn.  I didn't recall codenames in the series.  Is it important?  I'm not really sure what to go with for his machine.  I barely got one out for Vidur himself.  xD

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
I was thinking of Akhilleus myself, though Sorrow-of-Nations might not be very heroic.

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
You think it would, but... things have gone full crazy, and NERV's resources are Byzantine in their extent. The only ones who really knows where all NERV's resources are is Nerv's Commander (General Rupert Scrivener) and a few members of the UN Security Council.

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
So, we're not running the patchwork organization that was NERV in the series.  This is more like X-COM?

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
In short, yes.

In long, NERV isn't exactly like X-COM. NERV saw the writing under the paint of the wall after the Second Impact and has been preparing. X-COM was a lot more reactionary than this NERV will be.

They have reached the absolute minimum requirement to give them a fighting chance. Things will be... Chaotic to say the least.

I have given Farrokh the distinction of exposition dump for episode one. We'll move out of the prologue once everyone has said their closing remarks.

Heh, X-Com, huh. Then Resilience of Man (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb7X8bgFoHY) is appropriate.

Re: OOC: The Ready Room
Hey, all.

Every week is a crazy week lately. Checked in and saw that I'm not behind, so that's a positive way to look at it. Liking the posts; looking forward to seeing everyone's characters when the shit hits the fan.

I'm guessing 01 Voice Only has been busy as well. Just wanted to say that I'm still here. :)

It has been crazy. Thankfully, now the crazy has stopped.

I've been accepted into the College of Technology in Purdue and the tuition is reimbursed by the VA. Thank you Dad, for going to Vietnam.

Now... Let's get it going.

Not sure.  I poked the GM in a PM on the 7th, but I haven't heard anything back from them.  And it seems that they haven't logged on since the 5th.
